Works great and you can forget about them even being there.
I’ve been putting up with a router that would drop the WiFi for some time until the Pandemic. The old router would work for a random amount of time and then randomly stop allowing Wifi connections. After that my wife started working from home and the kids were home schooled so I needed to do something about it. I’ve been looking at mesh systems for some time and was looking at a few of them but chose this one due to the price and ease of use. This hopefully would allow me to stay connected in the first Main Floor Bedroom as we would lose signal with the old router and would rely on cellphone service to browse. It wasn't necessarily the old routers fault as it had to try to push a signal past duct work, but it only being the one router and needing internet in the living room was more of a priority. Not experiencing a mesh network geared towards residential users before I didn’t expect much. Once I received this I plugged the first mesh point near the modem in the basement and downloaded the app.The AppThe app has the option to setup an account so you can control the mesh points from anywhere. I set it up to try and it provides the exact same experience as if you were connecting to your network at home. The settings for the iOS app are as follows:- Wireless Settings - Wifi Name - Wifi Password- Guest Network - Wifi Name - WiFi Password - Validity Period (4 hours, 8 hours, Always valid)- Parental Controls - Add (Free to type fields)Once you add a group it gives you an option to allow or disallow access to the internet. There is the ability to add time periods as well.- Internet Settings (Automatically configured based on what type of internet you have.)- QoS (Quality of Service - the router prioritizes different traffic like gaming, web browsing, and VoIP.)- Add a MeshAdding a mesh is simple. Once you've placed the new mesh point somewhere you click the Next button, Next to confirm you've plugged it in, and then you position the camera on your phone or tablet over the QR code on the bottom of the mesh point. It'll confirm it's connecting to it and you're good to go.- Fast RoamingThis is the advantage of mesh points over regular routers. It allows a smooth hand over from one of the mesh points to another to allow you to seamlessly travel across your home without needing to reconnect from one router or access point to another. They provide the option to disable this option if a device doesn't support quick handovers. The example they gave is iOS 4.0 and earlier.- Capacity-oriented ModeThis function is meant for if you have over 30 devices connected at one time. This reduces the maximum speed each device is capable of using.- Smart AssistantThis connects your device to a 2.4 GHz network for 30 minutes to allow you do discover and setup legacy devices that only connect to 2.4GHz WiFi signals.- Port ForwardingThis allows you to forward any ports necessary for gaming, web servers, etc.- UPnP (Universal Plug and Play)This allows devices that support the standard to automatically enable any needed ports on your mesh router.- DHCP ServerEach device needs an IP address. Enabling this on the mesh point allows it to assign those to your devices.- DNSThis is used to convert domain names (amazon.com) to their actual IP addresses for your devices to connect to. This can be changed here.- Firmware UpgradeThis allows you to view, check for updates, and update the mesh points through the app.- Maintenance ScheduleThis allows you to set the mesh points to automatically reboot on certain days of the week and at certain times. This is an automated way of "unplug and plug it back in".- Account AuthorizationYou can add additional accounts to manage the mesh points if you'd like through this. The Mesh PointsThese are very simple and elegant little boxes. They have an LED that changes colors based on its connectivity but can be disabled through the app. You place them within two rooms (10 meters/32 feet) of each other and they'll cover quite a bit of area. For my scenario I placed on next to the modem provided by my ISP, one behind the TV upstairs, and one in our closet in the master bedroom. Realistically the one in the bedroom wasn't needed inside but provides better coverage outside in our backyard where we need it.My Floor PlansI've included both my basement and upstairs floor plans that include the placement and how far the strongest signal was by using the test device. To the left of the blue lines upstairs and downstairs is when the WiFi signal bar finally drops off approximately from 4 bars down to 3 when testing 1 mesh point on each floor. I was able to connect to them everywhere within my home which was a nice change for once.OverallI’m happy with the purchase as I can live with the high-level amount of control they provide. Dues to my work schedule I don't have the time to sit and configure every little detail to fine tune something. This plugs in, you use the app to configure and connect, and your done. Its worked so well that I've been using it for a few months and just remembered I haven't completed a review for it yet.My only complaints I’d have is that the lack of centralized parental controls available through this. The only available option is to put devices within groups and enable/disable internet access. The alternative is to manually change the DNS settings to those provided by CleanBrowsing or OpenDNS.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best upgrade for your home.
Reviewed in the United States on March 23, 2021
I live in a large, Five-bedroom two-story 3400 sq. ft home. I had been using a major brand 802.11ac dual-band router that claimed 2 frequency connections throughput. There is 2 laptops, 1 desktop, 3 iPads, 4 Phones, 5 google home devices, a WiFi enabled doorbell camera, 3 security camera, 4 streaming TVs and a printer on my WiFi network plus a Smarthings hub and two laptops that are connected by ethernet cable. Over All I have 55+ Wifi enable devices throughout my home. Connection on the smart TVs from the previous WiFi router has been acceptable although interrupted by the dreaded "Buffering" message more than I'd like, even with 300Mbps internet service from a major provider.

Installation was very simple. There are three apparently identical mesh units provided; all have connections for WAN and LAN. I connected one of the unit to my cable modem then placed one unit on the front side of the house and another on the back side of the house. Using the "Mesh" app, I set the SSID and password. From ten feet away from the the base unit I consistently got 300+ Mbps. The remote units consistently yielded above 200Mbps and often over 300Mbs.

Once installed, you can use the Mesh app to monitor the network. The Mesh app show the main screen with the three units (you can supply your own labels) displayed and the number of devices connected; (b) and (c) show the options in the app, and (d) shows the three units and the box the product comes in. The unit in the middle is rotated so you can see the three connections on the back (LAN, WAN, power, and a reset button).

    Pros:
    1. Good solid WiFi coverage throughout my house. Devices are pretty much plug-and-play after configuring the SSID and password.
    2. These units are very small, about 4" high, 3.5" wide, and 3.5" deep, so they will fit almost anywhere. There are some holes on the bottom apparently for hanging the unit on a wall but I didn't try that.
    3. The units are fairly stylish and won't stand out if you need to place them in a visible location. There is only one LED on the front of the unit which is not particularly bright and wouldn't keep you awake if you put a unit in your bedroom.

    Cons:
    1. Only one LAN jack on the base unit, so if you have a number of devices that are going to be hardwired (both of my desktops are wired in, and I have a SmartThings device plugged in as well) you will need an inexpensive network switch to accommodate the extra devices. Note, however, that each of the remote units also an ethernet connection, so you could use that if you connect devices without WiFi.
    2. You are limited to WPA/WPA2 (TKIP) security; no WPA2 (AES) or WPA3 is available. Hopefully this will be fixed sometime in a firmware upgrade?

    Summary:
Very good WiFi coverage is provided throughout the house. As mentioned earlier, the system is pretty much plug-and-play and will certainly app

eal to users who simply want a WiFi system that is easy to setup and works reliably.

All in all, this has been a good upgrade for my home.

5.0 out of 5 stars Simple and Easy to setup, Great to improve your wifi
Reviewed in Canada on February 17, 2021
I been having an issue with my current router, as more people have been working from home. There have been constant connection issues, and slow speed with everyone using the internet at the same time. While have a relatively fast network connect it seems to disconnect causing issues during video calls. When looking for a new router/wifi system I was looking for a mesh system that would help with the range throughout my home as have has spots that always never got good connect, which is when I decided to get this Meshforce system.

Starting out with the installation process, it was very easy. All someone has to do is plug in the main node to you modem and connect to the wifi with the app. The app automatically connects to the internet and instructs you to set the wifi network setting. From there it auto connects the two additional nodes very quickly without any user input. As a novice in technology, this setup was fool proof, I think anyone would be able to set it up.

The performance of the system is great considering the way mesh technology works. You get excellent speed when connected to the main wifi router, however as you connect to the second/third you do lose some speed. However, this loss of speed is still better than how much you lose when you have only one router and very low signal strength. To combat this issue these devices support wired backhaul which allows you to connect the devices wired together. If you wire the nodes together you get back the full speed.

Overall this system is a well performing and easy to use system that is great for larger homes.

I am here to share my current upgrade experience of this new WIFI mesh system at Home for around 1 week.

My two storey house is around 3000 SQFT, and I am using TELUS WIFI AP and a WIFI extender to cover a weak spot from my bedroom. With 6 family members, we have around 15 devices that will be using the network during night time, so it caused problems with network traffic and WIFI AP stabilities.

Internet is slow or halt sometimes from my bedroom spot while playing games on my smartphone, it is a big issue when I am playing PES 2020 online match with other online players, I lost my game automatically due to Internet connection quality. I started to search for a WIFI Mesh system for my home network upgrade and hope to solve this issue.

My fiber modem is located in the living room on the ground floor, the first mesh AP installation is easy and took me around 5 mins with APPs. Then, I installed another Mesh AP in my bedroom at the second floor and check the signal and speed testing, the WIFI signal is much better than the previous WIFI extender, however, the Internet bandwidth dropped to 150 Mbps from 300 Mbps

I started PES 2020 online match with other online opponents, and it was ok these days without the WIFI connection issue.

When I set up the first 2 units of WIFI mesh in the house, it's already covered the major area that I wanted. With the 3rd unit of Mesh AP, I am planning to use it as a portable AP at my back yard or garage. There are PRO and CON as following,

    1. Quick and easy setup with APPs
    2. Good WIFI signal

    CON
    1. Pricing is higher than other competitors
    2. Internet speed is slower with 2nd WIFI mesh.
