This wss my first book by this author and I really enjoyed it! I liked the authors writing style, the characters and the pacing of the story. I love how strong the MFC is, she knows her value and isn't pushed around by the MMC. i enjoyed the book so much I bought the series which I kind of regret after finishing the second book. Although this book can be read as a standalone the 2nd book is woven into the 1st and you have to read the 3rd book to truly get an ending for this family which was frustrating to me when it's advertised as each book being a standalone.

Nikolai and Sienna’s story is about a powerful Slovakian mob boss in London who falls for a young beautiful redhead working in his exclusive gentlemen’s club who turned out to be an informant and a spy for a corrupt cop. She had no choice as she is trying to get her brother out of prison and the cop tells her it’s her last job for him. But she was found out so she became a target for the guy she was informing or spying on. The only way to save her is for Nikolai to make her his own. She falls for him hard but she’s skeptical about their relationship. It’s a good story but a bit repetitive. Will they find their happily ever after?

This is the first book in a new series called Club Volkov. It's a fast-paced and standalone book that will keep you engaged from start to finish. There's action, adventure, drama, danger, suspense, twist/turns, enemies, survival, intrigue, humor, mystery/secrets, surprises, family, anger, friends/friendships, pain, fear, conflict, resolution, confusion, confidence, strength, courage, trust, truths, stubbornness, struggles, protection, lies, tension, arrogance, doubts, turmoil (emotional), annoyance, complications, possession/possessiveness, violence, retribution, threats, loyalty, betrayal, hope/hopelessness, blackmail, temptation, desperation, revelations, frustration, determination, patience, happiness, romance, passion/lust and love.
This is a story about a h who's an informant being blackmailed by a cop to keep her brother safe while in jail. Next assignment: Club V and to spy on the Russians. The H is a Slovak crime lord and the owner of Club V and learns that there is an undercover spy in his midst.

Most chapters were really descriptive when it came to talking about an object or place, so I felt like it was more of a fill-in for the chapter itself... I wish there was more dialogue between the two MCs.

I'm glad the ending was sped up because the female MC got really annoying 🙄 yes, she described herself as greedy, but it made her character seem so childish, almost unbearable. I wish she had a stronger character build, someone that matched Nikolai.

Not so many words about this one because the “bad guy” is really lacking of the title or intent hahaha. Not intimidating at all. The heroine is just dumb as she could be. Acting more like a 18 year old rather than a 20 something. A good pair of bad characters mixed with lots of nonsense which the only interesting thing is the way emotions are described as well as a good writing (good writing does not equals good story.). Five stars because I don’t damage the authors ranking. If you feel like reading this story, go for it. At the end this is just my opinion and like othe opinions related to art is subjective. Cheers !!

I enjoyed this story. Sienna and Nikolai are good characters. I like the plot that had action and steamy scenes. Sienna and Nikolai share a love of Russian art. Sienna does irk me at times because she has no sense of self preservation throughout a lot of the book. I will be reading the next book in the series.

I really enjoyed sienna and Nikolai's story. I felt sadness at her longing for love and constant worry over her brother's life, that she had to resort to the dangerous things she dud. Nikolai was a hard man to get under his skin. Its clear to everyone but him that his feelings for sienna run did, but it seems its more a battle of wills between these two. Crossed wires in some sense too. Their energy and games really bring a spark to the story.
