And with the integral utility clip, it attaches to webbing or other flat-edged surfaces for quick external access. reticle

R/T Ranging Reticle

Hashmarked ranging reticle using mrad based subtension lines for ranging, holdover, and windage corrections. Quick-ranging silhouettes. The R/T ranging reticle is based on a form of angular measurement called the milliradian (mrad for short). These angular measurements allow a user to calculate ranges when comparing the reticle to objects of known dimension. The key to effective ranging using this reticle is knowing common objects in your vicinity and their measurements.

    Pretty clear view
Ordered and received a “like new” used one and nothing was wrong with it upon inspection. It’s comfortable to hold but, wish the size and weight were a tad smaller. It is easy to adjust and focus using one hand, which will come in handy (pun intended lol) when I’m checking out scenery while hiking. I plan to use for hiking and any possible tactical activities if it comes to that. It’s versatile since you can use it for either and compact enough for carrying without taking up too much space. I didn’t care for the factory pouch, especially since it doesn’t have a molle friendly belt loop. I ended up using an old 5.11 tactical sunglass carrying case that has molle loops and is semi rigid for extra protection for the monocular. Overall I like this Vortex monocular and not disappoint. I gave it four stars because of the cheap pouch and lack of molle attaching ability. Don’t know if this is worth the full price but, I’m glad I saved a few bucks for a like new used one that has zero issues.
