I drive a 2010 Nissan Altima, base model. One box was enough to do the floor, back bottom seat and half of the back wall. It was easiest to apply by cutting it into smaller rectangular shapes and making a patchwork with a little overlap. It cut easily with shears. WEAR GLOVES. The edges are sharp and the adhesive is...very effective.
This stuff is impressive. Will it turn your economy sedan into an S Class? Nope. Will it make your car more comfortable and less stressful to be in. Heck yeah! I think you'll get the best value here if you're looking to improve a daily driver. A sound meter on my phone shows a 10 decibel decrease at all speeds.
The road noise in my base Altima was so bad that people would comment on it and ask if I was riding a flat tire. Even alone the ride was noisy and fatiguing. After doing the floor I immediately noticed less engine idle "noise" (vibration). Pavement is still pavement, asphalt is still asphalt. However, when I reached my destination and parked I realized that for the first time in probably a decade I wasn't thinking about how much I wanted to be out of the car. I picked up a friend for a ride and they agreed. A vast improvement. Road noise is still there but it isn't an overpowering roar and seems to level out between 40mph and 60mph then increase with speed.
As I'd been driving around for a couple months with no trim on the doors, I really can't comment on how well this stuff does at sound deadening. The interior feels quieter than I remember, and the doors closing seems even more solid than it did before. But it's just how I feel, I don't really know.
What I can comment on is that's very easy to work with. The diamond pattern gives you slack to deal with non-flat surfaces pretty easily, and helps you know when it's been properly rolled down. The foil layer is ultimately pretty thin, and I had no problem cutting with a sharp utility knife. The only installation issue I ran into is that in tight corners the rollers had a tendency to slice or mangle the foil, but after doing that twice I change my approach and had no further issues. I found with a light touch the mat could be placed and then removed, but once it's pressed down - even by hand - it's not readily coming off. I left my doors open with the mat applied for 5 or 6 hours to be sure it wasn't going to fall down, and it was very clear it was staying put. The 80 mil thickness seems like a good place to be - thick enough there is some mass there, but not too thick it'll interfere with trim going back on. Good choice there. Next day I can detect a *slight* smell from the rubber if I really try, but nothing I would describe as I problem and I am VERY committed to neutral smelling cars.
I will log some miles with just the two doors done, but with quite a bit left over I will probably throw some in the rear quarter panels and the roof as well, then maybe I will have a sense of how it performs as a sound deadener. I've worked really hard to shed weight on this car so I'm hesitant to grow back even a few pounds in sound deadener.... but it's for science, right?
UPDATE: Following good results with the doors, and having a substantial amount left over, I decided to apply this stuff to the doghouse cover of my older motorhome. The cover is just fiberglass and carpet, so there is a ton of engine noise and heat that makes it into the passenger compartment. I used a fair amount of the Noico, and sealed joints & unions with their "special" tape to ensure the rubber didn't get squeezed out or ooze onto the engine.
2000 miles later - including several passes over the Cascades - I can say that this stuff has dramatically cut down on noise, but also improved the heat situation. It's now possible to have a conversation at a reasonable volume while cruising down the freeway. These mountain passes are about worst case scenario for engine heat, and the Noico stayed put and there's no indication of problems - the picture is *post* drive. This isn't exactly analogous to a car since there's a 1' air gap between engine and cover and substantial air flow, it's still putting up with some pretty direct heat here. Cool!

It doesn't smell bad either (I've read that other brands have a slightly bad odor). This material was easy to cut, adhered very well, was easy to punch holes in also, but you MUST be mindful of that ALUMINUM EDGE because it WILL rip your finger(s) wide open if you're not careful (unfortunately talking from experience).
The plastic handle on the Noico roller I got was broken, but it didn't prevent me from using it effectively, and knowing what parts I had already used the roller on. Very helpful & pretty well thought out, but the quality of the roller is questionable.
All in all, this is a good buy. In my case, I wasn't able to use all of it on my car because of the method I employed, and the fact that the doors on my car are sealed with a metal cover & rivets, so it's already solid and sealed for the most part. Had I known this ahead of time, I would have only purchased 18sq ft of this material because I have more than half of my box left over.
I don't think my sound system would be the same without this stuff!! Wouldn't hesitate to buy it again, although they have a gold model that might be a bit better, but if it is, it must be mighty good!!!
Hope this review helped! Best of luck with your intended purpose for this product!

Anyway, this stuff works amazingly well, and for the price it's just unbeatable. I have a 2007 GMC Canyon extended cab and with two of the 36sq/ft boxes I was able to get 80% coverage of my whole truck. This includes three layers per door (door skins, frame, and plastic door card), the whole floor, interior walls, headliner, wheel wells, and all plastic pieces. The difference in sound isolation is night and day. I can have a Harley ride next to me and I can barley hear them, my doors open and close much nicer, all my rattles are gone, and my music sounds better now that vibrations have been reduced. 110% worthwhile and it only cost $180 and a litre of blood.
Cutting and adhering is easy, but make sure you have a very sharp knife with a few extra blades. I find it's easier to apply in the sun when it's warm so the sticky backing is softer. Make sure you clean your surfaces though.
Also it doesn't adhere to blood very well so if you didn't wear gloves like myself make sure you keep a separate blood rag and washing rag.
In fact you should just wear gloves.
TLDR; My truck has blood, sweat, and now only requires my tears, but is SUPER quiet and not rattly anymore.

As this car is fitted with a 5.7 litres V8 engine after 30min drive the heat coming out of the engine bay was making the drive uncomfortable so I decided to use a heat shield.
This is my winter project ( writing this in November) so ask me in Spring/Summer how this stuff performs, but from the installation point of view I can state the following:
- This is a proper stuff and feels a good value for money
- it is very easy to cut with kitchen scissors
- it forms nicely to a required shape and stays that way, so fairly easy to install (note: for a bigger areas do not peel all the backing paper at once -it becomes more flimsy, and rather peel gradually as you go)
- it stick nicely to all surfaces. If not pressed it can be peel off and sticked again.
- it does smell a bit but the “aroma” is not pungent and pees away after a couple of days.
