In love with these boots so far. They fit perfectly, not too narrow, with a generous toe box. It's not mentioned but they have a really nice wide opening for ease of taking them on and off.

*UPDATE*

I wore these boots in the field for over a year and to say that they are worth every penny is an understatement. They are great in mountainous desert terrain. I have hit every cacti known to mankind in the Chihuahuan desert and not been stabbed through the sole once. I did have them tear in one spot but it was because I was in a bunch of sharp boulders and slid down one. Seriously great boot that didn't even require a break in period.

I purchased this boots several months ago. I would say this is the most comfortable pair I ever owned. I didn't have to break them at all. It went through desert, combat training, hiking and more. Excellent foot bed, ankle support and durability. I wear it almost every day and don't see any signs of wear or tear. I purchased another pair of "Tactical Research" boots at the same time. I still have to wear extra sock to make sure of the comfort in ankle but not Lowa. Always comfortable, feels great in hot and cold weather.
Buy it with no doubts, you will love them as much as I do.

I bought these boots for a trip out west hiking in the National Parks . They were great no break in period , no slipping even better than I expected. They are well worth the price. Wanted to get another pair but they don't have my size . will check back again. Received my compliments on them,
