This is the second installment of the Muse of Darkness series. The characters are endearing while the story line is engaging, as you would expect from author Liz Gavin. I can't wait for my next adventure with this author. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Haunted by his past. Rockstar meets aspiring singer. Logan has a dark past but he’s rich and he’s famous. But he’s also damaged and hides a dark past. Allyson is working hard to get a break and just when it looks like she’s going to make it, Logan’s past comes back to bite her. He’s got issues but she does too and they’ll both have to change to find an HEA.

Like Erik’s book, Logan’s is a carnival ride of emotional trauma and dysfunction. Also like that first, this is not for the faint of heart. There are scenes and subject matter that may be difficult to read or be triggering. I loved that Ally inspired Logan to want to be better and he helped to create the opportunity for her to flourish. Now that we’ve seen the start of the next pairing, I can’t wait to get my hands on that book. I received a complimentary copy of this book through Booksprout.
