Rockstar romances are my favorite genre. No question. Every time I start one I’m already prepared to love it. Sometimes I’ve disappointed and occasionally I’m annoyed but usually I enjoy myself even if the book is only average. Happily I can say this is one time I’m absolutely thrilled! Somehow I’ve never read any of Liz’s rockstar romances. I promise after this I’m reading them all. She’s amazing at it.
Logan is by all appearances a typical rockstar. He’s hot, talented, jaded, and selfish. He’s all about the sex, drugs and rock ‘n roll and takes excessive drinking to a whole new level. But underneath he’s so many kinds of complex. I don’t want to spoil the book so let me just say he’s had a past filled with pain, loss and angst. He also, surprisingly, yearns for love. I was a bit surprised by this but it’s apparent very early in the book so it’s not really a spoiler.
He and Ally connect immediately. She has a lot of her own hang-ups to deal with that often cloud her thoughts, actions and judgement. I really loved them together. They seemed made for each other.
The sex scenes are explicit and very, very hot! Logan’s into BDSM. Ally had a negative experience with kinky play and he has to convince her to give it another go. It turns the heat up to an inferno. This book is Not for the faint of heart!
Wes is next and I’m thrilled. I love drummers best and I really loved him in this book. I can hardly wait!.
