APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
The race is on to hunt down a killer—and their bizarre, dangerous weapon—in this gory entry in the Kay Scarpetta series. Chief medical examiner Kay is a key witness in a beauty queen’s sensational murder trial, which gets disrupted when the judge’s sister is brutally murdered. This entry of Patricia Cornwell’s hit series is one hell of a ride. As always, Cornwell throws us headfirst into the action and all the power, corruption, and lies behind the killings. Veteran narrator January LaVoy’s great characterization and pacing show why she’s one of the best in the business. Even if you’re a newcomer to Kay Scarpetta’s wild world, Livid is a winner.
Customer Reviews
Love the author not the narrator
I have read Patricia for a long time. This narrator destroys everything I’ve liked about the main characters. I want to like audiobooks but this is not going to be the one that helps me make that leap.
Not quality Cornwell
Disappointing. Not typical of Cornwell. Felt off the whole book. Feels like she moved the way of most authors since pandemic removing creativity & intrigue for woke pablum; must be a requirement to get into the publisher sponsored soirées these days. Originality is dead. So sad.
God.
This is my first actual written review. It was literally one of the worst books ive ever experienced. Like if i count all the books i have READ and LISTENED to. This is the worst.
