4.5 Stars This is the first book in this series, but we got to know Derek in his sister's book. I'm glad we get his book. That man is prime book boyfriend material. He had me swooning in this one, but along with his swoon worthy behavior he is a dirty talker as well. This is a brother's best friend romance and boy is it a good one. Jessica has always had a crush on her brother's best friend. The bachelor auction leads to some unexpected events.

Jessica had always been in love with her brothers best friend, Derek. So when he's up for auction and she doesn't want her high school bully/his ex-fiancee to win, she will win him at whatever cost. One weekend turns into a relationship with a happily ever after, even with the issues and doubts she has. You will definitely fall in love with Derek's love for Jessica and his no hesitation to let her brother know. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

About the author

Carly Phillips, whose real name is Karen Drogin, was born on July 7, 1965 in New York. She received an undergraduate degree from Brandeis University. Seven years later, she sold her first book, Brazen, to Harlequin Temptation.
