4.5 stars — Well that was just a gobble it up read, with likeable characters and a couple you root for! I don’t know if maybe it was just the first read to pull me out of my slump, but I enjoyed this enough I was even sneaking in bits during active vacation — which is not like me. Reed was not what I was expecting for some reason…he was so lovey and huggable at times. It was hard to imagine all the years he spent closed off instead of dealing with his grief over so many things. I loved the R

I really enjoyed this second chance storyline. Reed and Ava have fantastic chemistry. Captivating from the beginning to the end. A great start to a new 3 book series. I can’t wait to read the next one.

Sometimes the characters just grab and you want all the updates from them, like, give me epilogues 5 years, 10 years, 20 years in the future, because I need to see all the happiness and joy that these two have, forever! This was that couple, maybe because they experienced such heartache before, or maybe because they were willing to take that chance again, or maybe the magic of the mountain, but for whatever reason, I am emotionally invested in them being happy.
