4.5 Star review of Leveling The Field (KTS #3) by Elise Faber This is the first book I have read in this series although I have read several books by Elise Faber. From the first chapter I was drawn in to the story that the author wove about Jesse and Leo. When time permits I will be reading the other books in this series as although this can be read as a stand alone I do feel I would have appreciated the underlying mystery and suspense of who is behind the issues KTS has been experiencing if I had read the previous books. I enjoy romantic suspense books and for me this was a good example of the genre. There were times that my heart almost broke for Jesse, her lack of confidence and belief that she deserved to find a lasting love got to me so much. Both Jesse and Leo have been badly burnt in the past and Leo’s refusal to open up caused pain for both of them. Both the characters grew as the book progressed and I was so please d to see Jesse gain more confidence and self esteem as the story progressed which in turn led to her helping Leo as well. The camaraderie between all the KTS team added an additional layer to the story. There was romance, suspense, danger and all in all made for an entertaining read.

She and her husband also play as much hockey as they can squeeze into their schedules, so much so that their typical date night is spent on the ice. Elise changes her hair color more often than some people change their socks, loves sparkly things, and is the mom to two exuberant boys.
