Recording Concert Strings

La Bella's 500P Professional Concert and Recording Classic Guitar Strings were developed with input from top-tier guitarists and instructors to offer the increased clarity, sustain, and responsiveness that perform as well in concert as they do in the studio. The strings are constructed from high-density nylon and tarnish-proof silver-plated winding, delivering great aural transparency and consistent sound production. And the 500P Professional Concert and Recording Classic Guitar Strings take advantage of Modified Atmosphere Packaging (MAP) for like-new string freshness every time you open a package. Grab a set from Sweetwater. You'll be glad you did.

La Bella's string expertise reaches back centuries

While La Bella strings are the top choice for world-famous musicians such as Willie Nelson, Bryan Adams, and Ron Carter, their heritage reaches way back - almost four centuries back, starting in Salle, Italy, in the seventeenth century with the Mari family. They were famous throughout Europe and even supplied violin strings to Amati and Stradivari. Brothers Emilio and Olinto Mari moved their string operation to New York in the early twentieth century, and the modern-day foundation for La Bella strings was born.

La Bella 500P Professional Concert and Recording Classic Guitar Strings Features:
  • Classical guitar strings
  • Developed for performances and recording
  • High-density nylon used for treble strings

Perfect string for A/E Classical

These strings have a purpose, and when used for that purpose, there is nothing better.

In addition to my full-acoustic concert classical, I also have a Godin Multiac Grand Concert Deluxe. The Godin is a great guitar, but the piezo electronics really amplified the string noise (you know, those obnoxious squeaks from the basses). I was searching for any kind of string that would help reduce that noise. These La Bella strings do just that!

The basses are essentially "flat-wound". They will not have that typical lively sound that traditional rounds have. But when used on an electric classical, you can tweak the EQ and make your guitar come alive. And after you've brought the liveliness back, you'll notice that the string noise is practically non-existent.

I haven't tried them on a full-acoustic classical, so I'm not sure how they would work. But they are absolutely fantastic on an electric classical.

Excellent strings but not for everyone

I have had them on my guitar for about 1 week. They took a few days to stabilize and stay in tune as I don't stretch the strings out at all. Most strings react this way for me when I restring a classical guitar. The bass strings take extra time to install and are quite stiff due to the stainless steel wrap. The sound is tight and focused with a little less sustain than most strings. They are, however, very playable and have to be played harder to dig out the sound. They make playing perfectly more attainable as there is a noticeable absence of extraneous string noises. The trebles have a full round sound and are much better than most strings that at times have a "squeeky" or tinny high pitched ukulele like tone. These strings will work well on a guitar that has a thin top and is already responsive. If your guitar is already low volume or dull, these strings will not add any sparkle. There also is going to be less sustain and no extra harmonics. If your instrument has good sound it will tighten it up and make you sound like a better player. Focused sound is the best way to describe these strings. Intonation and note accuracy is also right on. Steel bass strings will not tarnish.

worst strings ever !!!!!

i am a Spanish guitar player for 18 years and i have tried almost every nylon strings .but this one is something really bad because of the different material of the basses strings . it sounds so dark and it doesn't have the brightness at all .when you change the strings your guitar is not gonna sound like classic guitar anymore .
