Product Description
The new and improved Palio Expert 2.0 is the perfect table tennis bat for players learning the game and looking for a paddle that will allow them to produce a high amount of spin. It is designed for mastering the basic techniques and strokes correctly, and plays like a custom table tennis bat. This ping pong bat will give you everything you need to evolve from beginner to expert. The ITTF approved Palio CJ8000 rubbers are legal in competitions, and are well known for their ability to generate spin while maintaining a good level of control and feeling (due to their softer sponge). The tacky topsheet helps players to produce topspin, backspin and sidespin with ease. The all wood Palio ETT Expert 2.0 blade has been completely redesigned to improve quality and feeling. It features a flared handled that is very comfortable to hold and provides maximum control, helping you to increase your accuracy and keep more balls on the table. A free Palio bat case is also included to help you protect the bat and keep the rubbers clean.

About me: I'm an OK player, played casually for many years, who can beat maybe 60% of the players at my office. I sometimes got great shots but my consistency has always been terrible, so finally decided to step up and buy a serious bat to compete with. All the serious players at the office have their own bats.
After lots of research, I bought this Palio Expert 2 as well as a custom-made setup from colestt (the "buster" combo). I also tried the Stiga Pro Carbon which most of the top players at the office have, as well as some other brands lying around. I wanted to like the colestt racket, but truly I can say this Palio Expert 2 was without question far superior to any other for me -- I actually had a radical breakthrough within 30 minutes of using it!
This racket is the heaviest of the lot, which I imagine is perhaps a disadvantage at a certain skill level, but at my level the control and touch this thing offers is completely unmatched by any other racket. And feedback -- I can truly feel what I did wrong in a shot because this thing has fantastic haptic (tactile) feedback. Hence the immediate breakthrough -- within minutes it was obvious to me what I'd been doing wrong for years and years, and guided by this feedback, suddenly everything clicked. My spins worked, my forehand loop worked, everything just worked like a dream. And my opponents hits suddenly became easy to return, because this racket somehow absorbs what they give so that even if my shot form isn't perfect, it still lands beautifully. Maybe that's the advantage of its heft? Not sure why but I LOVE the results.
And after this breakthrough, I now play better with other rackets too by consciously applying what I realized from this one to the others, but I still play best and most naturally with this one because of that sensory feedback and the very forgiving heft. It's truly the best I've ever used, by a large margin! I'd say my shot accuracy and consistency has gone from 50% to 90%. The fear is gone -- most shots I know now will probably land. What a feeling that is!
I haven't yet played in a big office tournament with the new racket, but so far in casual games I've been getting some lopsided victories. I don't know what is meant by the term "speed" but I gather this racket is not "speedy". But I don't really know what that's about, because I can slam and the ball will go perfectly fast as with any other racket. Anyway, whatever speed is, I've heard that it is the enemy of control, and the control I get with this racket is unparalleled for me, so I'll pick control over speed any day. After all, actually hitting the table is my top goal in any shot.
***Update*** I personally have 3 of these bats. One for work, one for home and one for my wife. They all play a little differently, this could be from the differences in the wood of the blades. However, I have found that there are two different sponge hardnesses. Sponges are different colors as well. I think this has more to do with the inconsistency than the actual blade. I am knocking off another star due to the inconsistency with the rubbers used. I got all of the bats/rackets together and practiced. These for sure have different hardness of sponges. One of them has soft rubbers and it is great. The other two have a harder sponge and while they are still okay, they play very differently than the one with soft rubber. If you prefer a softer sponge, (which gives a lot more control and makes looping so much easier) make sure your racket has a red/pink looking sponge under the red rubber. If it is yellowish, or off-white, you probably have a harder sponge. If it works for you, then you are set. For those beginners and intermediates trying to achieve consistent loops, be sure your has the soft sponge. Either way, these are great rackets for the money. If you really want to learn to brush the ball the softer rubber will make life easier on you.
***Update #2***. I reached out to the seller and so far the have been great to deal with. I have added another star back due to their prompt response and their willingness to make things right.

Convient parfaitement aux débutants , bon grip, bon contrôle. Permet d'évoluer ,sans se sentir limiter , vers le niveau intermédiaire
At present working as a lecturer and we group of some lecturers play tt in our college.
Initially I was using stag ninja fire but it lacked control.
So I decided to move on from this racket and started searching for the racket which can give all round performance.
So my searching stopped here.
It took me 3 days to adjust with racket (thanks to my coach who trained during my school days).
Now the control is much much better.
Speed is good.
Spin is better.
Control is best.
However no racket in this world can be consider best as it depends on the player's style which suits him/her accordingly.
It suits me very well and I am very confident with my shots.
May be some people find the sound odd as when ball hit the bat but one can be used to with it.
Thanks to Mellonta Sports as they also mailed me personally and informed that rubbers can be changed with this ply.
However rubbers used are of very good quality and it seems that they will last longer.
Total, que se la ha quedado él para ir a entrenar (ha empezado esta temporada) y a mi me ha tocado la Ancees. A ver si hay suerte, mejora rápido su juego y me la pasa porque se le queda corta, jeje.
