Love Notes: An Angsty High School Romance Prequel (Rivals #0.5)

To revisit this series with this prequel just reignites Annie and Tyler's story in my imagination and heart. The characters are vivid and real. The relatability of this story is easily 1000%. I have read these related series' many times over and get a majot case of the feels each and every time. Piper Lawson's work is not to be missed-- ever.

Angst Personified Well, if this novella did not bring back memories, hard memories of myself going to a new school in grade 11. This story typifies what life in both the fast and slow lanes of high school were like. I really understood the main female character s emotions going through this story. Then too, the main male character s side of things we do not know but it appears that he had had a tough go of it. I recognize the main female character s dad and step-mom from a previous series by Ms. Lawson. If this new trilogy is as yummy as the series for the main female character s Dad, Jax, it will be fantabulous. I can hardly wait to get my hands on book on of this new trilogy by Ms. Lawson! This really wonderful prequel serves as a wonderful introduction to Annie and Tyler (if you have not read this author's Wicked trilogy) or a tempting treat for those that already know these characters. I thought that this was a very enticing read. It may be short but it does an excellent job of bringing everyone up to speed, setting the mood and getting things off to an emotional and angst filled start. Since I finished the Wicked series I have been waiting for this couple's romance and I am super excited that my wait is almost over. You can definitely enjoy this series on its own but I do highly recommend the Wicked series if you'd like to check it out.
