Simon Rickerty is a picture book author and illustrator.

In 2006 he graduated from The Royal College of Art with a masters degree in Communication Art and Design.

His first picture book Peas! published in 2009, written by Andy Cullen, was shortlisted for the Booktrust Early Years Award.

Since then Simon has written and illustrated many more picture books for children.

He has been shortlisted for the Waterstones Children's Book Prize 2012 (I Don't Want to Be a Pea! written by Ann Bonwill) and in 2013 his book Monkey Nut won the Roald Dahl Funny Prize.

His latest title is:
