Kissing the Cowboy

Rate this book
After drinking a bottle of wine, Harper tells her business rival that she recently got engaged. Once the hangover wears off, Harper realizes she now needs a fake fiancé or to admit she lied. Wanting to avoid the backlash, she asks her childhood best friend for a favor.

She can pretend she’s not in love with him, but her traitorous body reveals otherwise.

Ethan Bishop will do anything for Harper, even if it’s crazy and means risking his heart. Pretending to be engaged to the woman he’s always loved proves to be difficult—especially when repressed feelings bubble to the surface.

He only wants to help, but everyone in his life sees through his façade.

It’s hard to know what’s real or fake when their private moments turn intimate. When they cross the line and fall between the sheets, the truth is undeniable.

Just as they feared, their friendship’s no longer the same. However, one thing’s certain—there’s no going back now.

**Kissing the Cowboy is a complete stand-alone and can be read without reading any of the other books or spin-off series, but if you prefer to read in order, start with Hitching the Cowboy as the characters and families do interconnect. Suggested for mature readers only.**

Oh my heart. Kennedy Fox brings prime friends to lovers dreamy swoony feelings in Kissing The Cowboy and I am in love instantly. A hot and sweet romance with small town cowboy awesomeness that would keep you entertained all the way.

Ethan and Harper have been best friends forever. Somewhere along the line they both developed deeper feelings but they were scared to lose precious friendship and kept their feelings secret. But then Ethan had to play fake fiance to Harper under unavoidable circumstances. And they cross the line. Do they go back? Do they face their feels?

I have endless love for the Bishops and Eldorado. They are one big colourful family with so much love and they have become like my own family as the series progresses. Ethan is a Bishop man. It means he has all the trademark qualities. Hot body. Big heart. Alpha possessiveness. Crazy and protective. Harper is such a sweet girl! She made a name of herself making goat milk ( that comes from Ethan's goat firm) soaps and lotions. She works hard and she is seriously an amazing girl. And the hero of the story is their chemistry. Kennedy Fox knows how to make my heart sing and swoon. They always had an easy and solid friendship that prevailed through some difficult days. They were always there for each other. The slowly building tension was torture and I was internally screaming at them to do something about it. Now love cannot be so easy, right? So they got scared, afraid of failing, too weary to accept their feels and caused me the beautiful heartache! But it all sorted out and their happily ever after was just so amazing!

Kissing The Cowboy by Kennedy Fox delivered sweetest feels and hottest chemistry in a brilliantly written small town romance. I bet if you pick up this book, you would want to come back to Circle B Ranch over and over!

This family is one of my favorites ever!
I can never get enough of the Bishops and their adventures!

Kissing the Cowboy is an all new friends to lovers novel in Kennedy Fox‘s Circle B Ranch series. It‘s about Ethan and Harper who have been friends since they were in diapers.

Harper and Ethan both are in love with eachother but have never admitted to it until they decide to fake a relationship to help out Harper.

I enjoyed this story alot! Harper and Ethan are really sweet together. Their friendship is amazing! I devoured this one as quick as all the others in that series!

Harper and Ethan have been best friends since they could walk, they have done everything together, except share their true feelings about each other. Everyone could see they were perfect for each other, but they always denied it. Until Harper had too much to drink and may have told other small business owners that she is engaged.

I loved the friendship between Harper and Ethan. You could feel that they truly are best friends, that they would do anything for each other and will always be there for each other, however, there is also a ton of chemistry between the two of them. So many times throughout their story I just wanted them to give into that chemistry and the tension that was brewing between them.

Harper and Ethan’s friendship and relationship was full of ups and downs but you can’t help but root for these two to find their happily ever after with each other. They may be one of my favorite couples at Circle B Ranch.

If you’re looking for a fake relationship, friends to lovers, small town, cowboy romance this is one to read.

Every single book in the Circle B Ranch Series is always highly anticipated by me. Needless to say I was ecstatic when Kissing the Cowboy landed on my kindle. We hadn’t seen a lot of Ethan Bishop in the previous novels, but friends to lovers romances always gets to me. Add the fake relationship trope and I was in heaven. Kennedy Fox delivered one again a beautiful slow burn romance filled with their trademark humor, sweetness and sensuality!

I was hooked from the first few pages, even if the progression of Ethan and Harper’s romantic relationship was really slow. I truly loved how their friendship was so powerful. In their every single action, it was clear the deep feelings that had for each other. Scared to lose this powerful bond between them, they both needed a little push to finally unveil what their hearts truly desired. When they entered this fake relationship, it was game over, sparks flying and true passion exploding.

Ethan was such a sweetheart! A tempting cowboy wholly devoted to his long-time friend, but also such a good brother. His heart was pure and he easily had me under his charm. Harper was also an interesting heroine. A dedicated and hard-working small business owner.

I devoured this novel in one sitting and went to bed so late! I couldn’t let go of this lovely couple! The different members of the Bishop family and friends brought smiles to my face and made me crack up. I appreciate how they’re always teasing each other. It’s clear this family is tight and loving. Kissing the Cowboy left me entirely enamored! I’m so enthusiast about the next novel in the series. Kenzie and Grayson’s enemies to lovers romance will assuredly be a high entertainment.

I wanna be a cowboy’s sweetheart!
Especially if I can find a cowboy like Ethan 😍
With every new cowboy Kennedy Fox introduces us to, my love for all things Circle B Ranch grows. Kissing The Cowboy is another fabulous installment in the Circle B Ranch series.
It can totally be read as a stand alone, but c’mon if you know me at all you know I love reading all the books and learning everything I can about all the characters, so obviously I say read all the books!
Kissing The Cowboy is Ethan and Harper’s story, and it is my favorite one in the series! Did I read this book in one sitting? Yes! Is it full of my favorite tropes? Also yes! It’s like Kennedy Fox looked at a list of “Andrea’s favorite tropes” and wrote this book just for me!
Ethan and Harper have been best friends since they were little. They do everything together and know everything about each other...except how they feel about each other. Y’all friends to lovers is one of my favorite tropes. Add in a fake engagement and a sexy cowboy and this book checks all the boxes.
Ethan is my favorite. He’s a Bishop through and through. He’s hard working, an amazing friend and swoony AF! I love how he loves and supports Harper. He is her biggest cheerleader when it comes to her business. I love Harper too. I love her hustle and work ethic. Once they finally admit their feelings for each other sparks fly. Their relationship is effortless and I loved watching their love grow.
From start to finish, this book was nothing but fabulous! I love revisiting Circle B Ranch, and seeing couples from previous Kennedy Fox books. Their family dynamic is one I adore, and I’ve been so excited to see the next generation of Bishops find love. Kenzie and Greyson are next and I CAN’T WAIT!

I can never get enough of this family! I always devour these books so fast because I never want to stop reading.

With Kissing the Cowboy, it was no different. I knew from previous books a little of what to expect, mainly in regards to tropes. Friends to lovers, fake relationship and I knew this combo would be amazing and it wasss!

You get so see a lot of these two’s dynamic and love for each other before the fake relationship part of the story and I really enjoy that. Seeing how they were always there for each other, lending a helping hand, spent every waking moment they could together, including all the major holidays. And, of course, we can’t forget how we see them lusting and yearning for each other. I love getting that in books, especially friends to lovers! It’s fun and angsty all in one. So good.

I just really loved these two characters and the friendship they had, which was always more than friendship to everyone else except them. And I loved how everyone gave them sh*t for it! Made the moment they finally got together even better and more fun.

Honestly, next to Wrangling the Cowboy, this was one of my favs in the Circle B Ranch series! I love how many hints we got for the other couples, mainly the next one! I’m dying to know what happened between Grayson and Kenzie that he doesn’t remember ahah.

~Ethan Bishop & Harper Hart~

Love so SWEET!!!

Aaaargh! I love this! I love love LOVEE it!!!
Since reading the Bossing the Cowboy , I've been dying to read Ethan & Harper's story. The promise of sweet love from friends to lovers made my anticipation for this book out-of-the-roof! And well... of course, Kennedy Fox delivers...

Ethan & Harper are best friends since they were in diapers. When they developed feelings for one another, the fear of losing years of their friendship made them choose to stay being friends. Over a decade later, a bottle of wine and drunken status change later, Ethan & Harper are forced to face their true feelings.

Like the great friends-to-lovers story, the author completely successful in captivating the emotions of both Ethan & Harper. There are a lot of denials from both parties before they admit it, still, they manage to portray the picture of sweet love developing from years of friendship.

After reading this, I claim Ethan Bishop for myself. The guy is completely sweet and selfless and loyal, I LOVE HIM! Ethan does deserve his HEA with Harper and vice versa.
As usual, I love reading cowboy romance, the closeness in the family, the rowdiness of growing up with your cousins, are always filling my heart with warmth.
Can't wait for the next story in the series!

Kissing the Cowboy is book #5 in Kennedy Fox's Circle B Ranch Series. We are back on the Ranch with the Bishops and this time we have Ethan Bishop (son of Emily and Evan from Needing Him) and his best friend Harper's story. This is an adorable friends to lovers/fake engagement storyline. I loved this story so much. The love both Ethan and Harper had for another was evident from the very beginning. Both afraid the other didn't reciprocate their feelings and afraid to tell the other how they felt. Harper is beautiful and successful. She has a small business creating lotions, and soaps from goats milk. Her business is successful because she puts so much time and attention into the details. After a night of a few too many glasses of wine, she ends up telling her business rival she is engaged and of course Ethan being the amazing guy he is agrees to play along. Ethan is the full package. Huge heart, protective, loyal, loving and hard working. While Ethan and Harper try really hard at first to fight their feelings, it becomes impossible. They two have incredible chemistry and you cannot help route for their HEA. I can never get enough of the Bishop family and the Circle B Ranch and look forward to Kenzie and Grayson's story next, the way these two have been circling each other has me eager for their story!

Book 5 in the Circle B Ranch series and it was a great addition. Loved this fake engagement that turned into a friends to lovers romance. Two of my favorite tropes in one. Both Ethan and Harper had feelings for each other but both were scared to say anything in fear that they would ruin their friendship. So, when Harper needed help, Ethan was happy to help. The more they were fake engaged, the more their feelings for each other started to show. The chemistry between them was palpable and then they finally get together, it is explosive. Loved this read and can’t wait to get back to the Circle B ranch.

This is it…the epitome of a fake dating/friends to lovers relationship. And this is NOT your mother’s cowboy romance!!!

Kissing the Cowboy was an incredible addition to the Circle B Ranch series, and like all Kennedy Fox books we also got a glimpse at our other favorite Bishop’s.

Kissing the Cowboy follows Ethan and Harper who have been friends for their entire lives, and have also been in love with each other for just as long. The tension between them is incredible, you won’t want to put this book down, and the steamy scenes are nothing less than I expect from Kennedy Fox!!

I find myself wanting to move to Texas and live on Circle B Ranch with every addition to this series! You need this book and this entire series in your lifetime!

5 Star review Kissing The Cowboy (Circle B Ranch #5) by Kennedy Fox

AUDIO REVIEW:

It was good to be back on the Circle B Ranch. This time it is Ethan and Harper’s story and it was a good addition to the series. These two have been best friends since childhood and when Harper needs a fake fiancee, she turns to the one man she can rely on.

Unfortunately he is also the one man she has been in love with for many years. What neither of them realize is that they have both had feelings for one another for years. What happens when they both finally have the courage to cross the line, will it be the start of something wonderful or will it destroy their friendship?

The narration by Lia Langola and Tor Thom was easy to listen to and they really brought the story to life for me. They expressed the emotions well and did justice to the characters of Harper and Ethan.

Oh... my.... world!!!! Now that is how you write a best friends to lovers romance!!

Kennedy Fox has done it once again! And once again, I'm left feeling like an addict and searching for my next smoldering cowboy fix. I needed a little bit of small town loving in my life, and they delivered! Ethan and Harper just jumped up to the top of my 2021 favorites list! Blissfully Beautiful! So much heart and so many feels!! I couldn't get enough!

In My Own Words:

Kissing The Cowboy is the fifth book in the Circle B ranch series by Kennedy Fox. Ethan and Harper’s story can be read as a standalone, but in my opinion it is best read within the series. You don’t want to miss out on all these swoony and spicy Bishops!

Ethan and Harper have been the best of friends since they were kids. When you saw one, you sure as hell didn’t have to look hard to find the other. They were two peas in a pod. But somewhere along the way during college years things started to change and an attraction started to build. An unspoken attraction.

Now, six years later, Harper finds herself in the hotseat when she spouts off online, to her nemesis, and tells the small business world she’s engaged... to Ethan. All she needs to do is get Ethan on board with said plan. They are going to soon find out, fake relationships tend to crash and burn when one or both sides aren’t actually faking it….

My Thoughts:

I’ve been dying to get my hands on this book, and now that I have I can honestly say, this is my favorite of the Circle B Ranch Series!!! I love the best friends to lovers trope. There is no denying, I was hooked from the start of Ethan and Harper’s story!!

Ethan is the sweetheart of the Bishops. This man would move heaven and earth for the people he loves. He also has a way of getting roped into situations that eventually weave out of his control. When he agrees to go along with Harper’s fake fiance weekend plan, I knew shit was going to go bad before it came out on top. I’ve learned through reading romance, nothing good ever comes out of faking a relationship… And these two are about to get slammed in the face with that fact.

A weekend away from the Bishop prying eyes is exactly what these two need to jump start what could have been ages ago… However, being friends and morphing that friendship into a relationship can be a scary thing. Harper doesn’t want the friendship she has with Ethan to be tarnished if things go wrong. But sometimes there is no undoing what has already been done. And this is where the infamous, ALL THE FEELS, moments kick in. Holy hell, Kennedy Fox damn near tore my heart out of my chest. I felt the tears welling up in my eyes with this one.... And that's all I'm going to say about that.

I loved the growth throughout this whole novel. I loved seeing the bond grow stronger between Harper and Ethan, and all the Bishops. The Bishop Family has become one of my favorite families in the romance world, and I don’t see that ending anytime soon. I can't wait to see what else Kennedy Fox has up their sleeves for these Bishops! I need more!!

Ethan & Harper have been best friends since they were kids and unbeknownst to Harper, Ethan’s had a crush on her for over a decade. Now in their mid-twenties, Harper owns her own small goat’s milk soap business and Ethan works on his family’s ranch. When Harper’s business competitor asks if she’ll be attending a work conference solo—as always—Harper fibs and says she’s engaged. The catch? She says she’s engaged to her best friend—Ethan. And because Ethan has been secretly in love with Harper for years, he jumps at the opportunity to “pretend” to be head over heels for her. But Harper’s about to find out that Ethan’s feelings are far from fake…and so are hers.

Kissing the Cowboy by Kennedy Fox is book 5 in the Circle B Ranch series. This was a short and fun friends to lovers romance. I enjoyed the Bishop world and all the cameos of other characters. I think this story could’ve benefited from another 50-100 pages to help provide more backstory and develop Ethan & Harper’s romance more. 3.5/5 stars.

I say it every time....I LOVE me some Kennedy Fox Cowboys!!!*

Kissing the Cowboy is another swoon worthy Cowboy your about to falll in love with!!

Best friends to lovers trope which I love to read because that sexual tension is always there but they never act on it until one day they may need to because she is trying to one up a fellow bitch of a competitor....one up the competitor because they steal all your ideas and your customers. So this is how this little lie comes about..of course it's not so hard to pull off because these 2 have been secretly wanting the other forever but have kept it in the Friend Zone and I'm here for all the crossing the line of friendship to lovers and all the drama that comes along with it!!! Yessss gimmieee gimmieee lol

I have been waiting for this story almost as long as the rest of the Bishop clan and Kennedy Fox did not disappoint! These lifelong friends have been teased (by the author and other characters) in prior books in this series and we FINALLY get their story!

Ethan and Harper have been friends for forever as yet grew, their feelings did too. They both have been harboring feelings for the other but aren't sure if the other feels the same and they also don't want to ruin their friendship.

When Harper needs Ethan to play fake fiancé, their attraction to each other becomes very noticeable.

This story has it all. There's humor, angst, steamy sex, heartbreak, meddling side characters - there's never a dull point in this book.

My favorite part (besides Cupcake) was when Ethan laid it all on the line and gave his ultimatum. It was totally unexpected and had me thinking that if Harper didn't want him, I'll take him!

I am 100% addicted to this series! Each book has a different trope and yet they still mesh so well as a whole.

I was so excited for this one!!!

The story between Harper & her bestie Ethan had been building up for quite some time! I really liked Harpers character & Ethan was such a swoony man that you can’t not root for them the entire time!

Harper is a small business owner who has been successful in making soaps & more. She has a conference to attend where her biggest competitor (& stealer of ideas) is going to be at. One drunken night she comments on a group post that she would be bringing her fiancé but spoiler alert…she is extremely single. So she asks her best friend to pretend to be her fake fiancé so she doesn’t embarrass herself in front of everyone who is anyone! What she wasn’t expecting was for it to feel extremely real…we’re they actually pretending or is this it?!

Spice: 🌶🌶

Tropes:
Best friends to lovers
Cowboy romance
Fake engagement/dating

Welcome back to the Circle B Ranch and the ever entertaining Bishop Family. Where the men (and their women) could win awards for stubbornness, So its no surprise that Ethan and Harper have denied their feelings for so long. Hold on to your goat because this book has it all- A large mutli-generational family, lots of meddling, small town gossip, a fake marriage, the worlds best (worst) fremeny, drunken shenanigans, escape artist goats, romance and of course a happy ever after.

I do think that Ethan and Harper were my favorite story so far in the Circle B Ranch saga! I have been interested in their friendship since we were introduced to us, and their story did not fail to make me so happy! I usually am not a huge fan of friends to lovers, but when you add in the fake dating aspect, I was sold!

Ethan has such a love for Harper, and the same for Harper towards Ethan, that I couldn't see things not working out for them. I loved the story line around Harpers business and her goat soap nemesis as well! When I say I devoured this book and this couple, I truly mean it!

I love my visits to The Circle B Ranch and Kissing the Cowboy is the perfect addition to this wonderful series. This is best friends Ethan and Harper’s story and what a wonderful story they have to tell.
What do you do when you need a fake fiancee and who better to play the part than your best friend since childhood so when Harper needs a man for a weekend, Ethan springs to mind and like any good friend he doesn’t let her down. Problem is these friends have secretly loved each other for many years so will a weekend away have them admitting their feelings or will it drive a wedge between and possibly ruin their friendship forever…..
I loved everything about this book, I fell hard and fast for Ethan, I adored Harper because she is the type of women we would all love in our corner, the chemistry is sizzling, the banter is witty but it’s all the additional characters that help make this the perfect read. Kissing the Cowboy will certainly be added to my best reads of 2021.

After several drinks, Harper tells her business rival that she is engaged. Once sober, she begs her best friend since childhood, Ethan, to play the part and keep up the charade. Ethan would do anything for Harper - he's been in love with her for years, but has never told her. Ethan's pining for Harper was everything and I loved the way he adored her. Of course, the lines got blurred and real feelings got involved and I ate it up. Ethan's willingness to lay his heart on the line was super swoony and I loved the ease in their relationship. One of my favorites in the series.

Update: I've just finished the audiobook version and I loved it even more. Lia Langola and Tor Thom are amazing. Lia never disappoints with her Southern accent and male voice. It’s almost impossible to tell it’s her. Tor’s voice is perfect for the Texas cowboy swagger.

I can never recommend the Circle B series enough. We’re at book 5 in the series and each one keeps getting better. With a long series, some feel like it’s the same story over and over. Not with the way Kennedy Fox writes. Each story is original and keeps me turning each page. And each story has the same heart, comedy, and steaminess as the ones before it.

I love a friends to lovers trope and throw in a fake fiancé with cowboys, you’ve got yourself a good time. Ethan and Harper have been best friends their whole lives. But when Harper needs a fake fiancé, Ethan is there to back up his best friend. Ethan is a classic Bishop. Hard working, an amazing friend and of course, smoking hot. And Harper is amazing. I love that she’s a young entrepreneur, running her own business. Ethan and Harper are so sweet together. I loved seeing their friendship in “Bossing the Cowboy” and then grow in this book.

Kenzie and Grayson’s story is next and lord have mercy, I can’t wait for that one.

I enjoyed this one. And finished it in one go.

Ethan Bishop was just too perfect. He was dependable, loyal and sexy as hell. He and Harper have been best friends since they were babies. Saw each other through relationships until the last one when in college and now they are both single. Ethan has been in love with Harper since forever but it just has not been the right time to tell her. Now they are settled and life is good. Until the day that Harper tells her business rival that she recently got engaged. And who better to fill that role than her best friend 😊

Harper started having feelings for Ethan a while back but she didn’t know if he felt the same so she never said anything. Until she needed her best friend to pretend to be her fiancé… And one thing leads to another and are they still pretending??

This was an easy quick read, but I loved it anyway. It was filled with best friends, family laughter and a little bit of drama. Harper and Ethan were clearly BFF and they knew everything about each other. So Harper was a bit hesitant as she didn’t want to loose her best friend. But Ethan was all in, no questions asked. I love these two together. I loved that we got to see the previous couples and I am so pumped to read the next one. Kenzie and Grayson ♥ I wanted it to be Knox but I will take what I can get 😊 ♥

I received an ARC for review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Oh, Ethan, I need you to be in Florida, where I would love to be your one true love. Harp is one lucky girl. I had the pleasure of reading Kissing the Cowboy, and I was not disappointed. I was so looking forward to this book after Elle and Connor’s I almost couldn’t contain my excitement.

Ethan and Harper have been best friends since they were little. This book was a best friends/fake fiancée romance. Ethan has not so secretly been hiding his feelings for Harper. Everyone knows he loves her but doesn’t want to mess up what they have. Harper is in denial except to her best friend. She also doesn’t want to lose her best friend. But when too much wine and the post goes viral….well, sometimes you have to buckle up and go for the ride.

Ethan is a Bishop through and through. He is stubborn and hardheaded, but I loved that he refused to kiss Harper and wanted her to come to him once she decided. I also loved reading how a Bishop man is his woman’s number one cheerleader and biggest supporter. I want nothing more than to have my own Ethan Bishop and have officially crowned him the king of the next generation.

Given that I am trying to start up my little side gig, Harper’s work ethic and the things she went through with her business are inspiring and something I didn’t know I needed to read. She is lucky to have Ethan in her life to help her and keep her spirit up when she freaks out.

I highly recommend this book and hope everyone one day finds their own Ethan Bishop!

My favorite scene in the whole book was probably reading about Grandma Bishop coming up the driveway and asking for Harper and Ethan to explain what is going on! I read that scene a few times! I think she needs a little novella.

4 Finally Giving In To Their Feelings Stars!!!

I love friends-to-lovers stories and Ethan and Harper is one of the best I’ve read this year! They’ve been dancing around their feelings for each other for years and they've finally given into their feelings.... even if it was supposed to be a fake engagement!!

This is one of my favorite in this series because I’ve waiting for their story as we’ve gotten glimpses of them in the other books in this series and I knew it was going to be great. I kind of felt bad for Harper because she’s pretty much cornered into becoming “engaged” by a business competitor. To say I was laughing out loud during some of the conversations surrounding Harper and her solution to getting back at someone would be an understatement. She’s witty, intelligent and can really think on her feet. Who better to help her put someone in their place than her bestie Ethan. And God love him, he’s completely on board for their fake engagement… let the fun begin!!

This book has a fast pace to it, and I was completely and totally invested in seeing how it all played out. What is absolutely clear is their chemistry and when they finally get together in the most intimate of ways it’s scorchingly hot!! But this could have the potential to change their friendship forever. One of the things I loved so much about Ethan in this book is that not only does he support Harper in everything she does, including her goat milk beauty products, but he also challenges her when it comes to her feelings for him…he knows what he wants but is Harper willing to take the leap to what could be the best thing that she could ever have?? Read their story and you’ll get all the answers!

I love all things Bishop Family and I’m never going to have enough of this entire family!!

As with every Kennedy Fox book I've read, I really enjoyed this installment in the Circle B Ranch series. I loved all the Bishop family antics and just the overall sense of family and community. I really like that we see what the other couples are up to and even see the formulations of the couples that I'm sure will be the focus of other books in the series.

I also really liked the mentions of how social media plays into the success of small business in this day of all things technology. I especially loved how with Harper having her own business, she relies heavily on social media and even has "pack an order with me" videos and the like. I always enjoy videos like these on my own instagram feed so I thought that was pretty cool.

I will say that going in to this book, I was kind of hoping my opinions on fake/marriage of convenience and friends to lovers tropes would change but unfortunately that wasn't the case. I just don't like how these kinds of books are filled with doubts and miscommunications in the protagonists minds. I also find that they are slow burns and while I do enjoy slow burns, I want them without these tropes in the mix.

Overall it was a good book and anyone who enjoys fake marriage and friends to lovers or is looking to start this series, this is a good place to start as they all read as a standalones. Trust when I say you will want to read them all after.

The couple: Ethan and Harper

Romance genre: friends to lovers
Series: Circle B Ranch
Length: 232 pages

Plot: Ethan and Harper have been best friends since they were little, and he's seen her through boyfriends and breakups. Now that she's back in town for good, he's still her best friend, even if he wishes for more. When she gets herself into a situation and needs a fake fiance, of course he'll step up. But what if it weren't fake after all?

Commentary: So many people in this town who can't see what's right in front of them! So funny that they spend years being best friends when what they really want is to be together as a couple. Well, better late than never. I really hated the villainess (which was the point) - I don't understand how someone becomes such an unethical bully mean girl and nobody calls her on it (until Ethan said something about her stealing Harper's ideas when they were at dinner - that was awesome!
Anyways, not necessarily my favorite of the series - low angst as to be almost none - but it was still a solid story.
