Versatility is key
You can install these QS Series speakers in the way that works best for your vehicle, either as coaxials or as separate components. As coaxials, the tweeter mounts in the center of the woofer. As components, an aluminum phase plug mounts in the center of the woofer for improved dispersion, and the tweeter can be installed separately with Kicker's included flush- and angle-mounting solutions. Kicker continues the theme of versatility by allowing three-level tweeter attenuation as well as bi-amping via the audiophile-grade external crossovers.

Features
Woofer Cones: The woofers use Kicker's Tri-Tech sandwich cone design, a carbon fiber front layer, a foam core center, and a Kevlar rear layer.
Tweeter Mounting Options: The tweeters come with brackets to allow flush-mounting and angle-mounting:

Coaxial Tweeter Mount: In addition to standard tweeter mounting options, the included tweeter mounting posts let you mount the tweeters directly to the center of the woofers, giving you standard coaxial speakers. When the tweeter is attached to the woofer the mounting height increases to 0.946" (top mount) and the tweeter protrusion increases to 0.742" (bottom mount).
Crossovers: The component system includes passive 2-way crossover networks for a seamless transition between the woofers and tweeters. The high pass slope is 24 dB per octave and the low pass slope is 12 dB per octave. The crossover point is 2.8 kHz.
Bi-amp Inputs: Each crossover has bi-amp inputs, separate inputs for the woofer and tweeter. When using the bi-amp inputs, remove the factory installed input jumpers that short the woofer and tweeter inputs together.
Tweeter Level: Three sets of jumpers are included for setting the crossovers' tweeter output level; 0 dB, +3 dB, and +6 dB. Increasing the tweeter output level is useful when they're mounted off-axis (relative to the listeners).
Wiring: The crossover inputs and outputs are screw terminals and will accept bare wire or spade connectors up to 0.335" wide.
