Roger Priddy is the creator of over two hundred best selling books for young children including Wipe Clean ABC, First 100 Words, and Fuzzy Bee.

When he was at school he couldn't decide between being a patisserie chef or going to art college. On the advice of his father he chose art college and trained as an illustrator before becoming a designer at Usborne Publishing.

Roger's love for children's early learning has led him to create some of the most successful children's non-fiction books, first at Dorling Kindersley (My First Word Book, Incredible Cross Sections and My First Cook Book) before he set up Priddy Books with St. Martins Press in New York where several of his books have sold over a million copies each including First 100 Words, My Big Animal Book and Happy Baby Words.

In total he has sold over 65 million books worldwide and his books have been translated into over 30 languages.

He says "It is always rewarding to see a child enjoying and learning something from one of our books, especially the babies when you think it could be the first book they have ever seen.

My 18 month old son loves his Roger Priddy First 100 board books and recently started to enjoy sticker books so we purchased the first 100 animals sticker book as well as the first words and first trucks sticker books. He really does enjoy all of these books. The first half of the book has pages with animals and spots where you can match up a sticker with an animal outline, the second half of the book has scenes with a bunch of corresponding stickers that your child can decorate however they'd like. The cover says there are over 500 stickers, but keep in mind that includes one full page of small star stickers and several pages of stickers with just words. My son enjoys adding the star stickers to all of the animals almost as much as he does matching up the animal stickers in the right spot, so for me its not a big deal. What's great about these books is after all of the stickers are used, my toddler still likes going through them and sounding out animals just as he would with any other book. The stickers themselves are not meant to be reusable, but can be carefully peeled off without ripping the page. I would recommend this book.

We love the stickers for toddler entertainment. We give our daughter the entire book when we are in the car and when we are home, we help her put the stickers on the actually pages. Otherwise, just putting them on herself is entertainment enough!

I am guessing that this would be a great learning book for older little kids, but ours is just in it for the stickers and saying the names of the animals as we tell them to her!

Got this thinking it’s a book full of animal stickers but it has a lot of pages to match the animals. My daughter is too young to know as I thought it was a book full of stickers only. The stickers are nice and large and can also be easily peeled off to fix placement mistakes. I had also used some of the sticker pages for potty training where I cut out the different animals and put them in a container and every time my daughter went potty, she was allowed to choose a animal to stick onto her potty chart and she loved it! It’s a very nice book to learn about the different animas and keep your little one busy for a while. I definitely recommend it as a gift or as a day to day activity book.
