Jackson Bishop is your typical playboy.
Unpredictable, charming, and overly confident.

Growing up in Texas, the ranch life is all he’s ever known. Horses and late night partying are his lifestyles, and all the local girls know it too. Riding lessons aren’t the only things taught at the stables, and he makes sure clients never leave unsatisfied. Everyone knows Jackson’s a wild card, but not everything is as it seems. He may be a womanizer on the surface, but he’s hiding deep feelings about the one who’s had his heart since he was a teen. Unfortunately, it’s not as simple as roping her in and claiming her as his.

Kiera Young is well-known for her sassy nature and outgoing personality. Though she’s one of the best horse trainers in the area, she’s never been able to tame her best friend and the man she’s secretly loved since she was fifteen—Jackson Bishop. She’s waited years for him to confess his true feelings but as time goes on, she decides she’s done waiting. Kiera finally meets a man who promises to give her the world, and when he pops the question, she says yes—knowing they’re both ready to settle down and start a family.

Even if her heart beats for another man.

Jackson’s certain he’s lost Kiera for good and has no one to blame but himself. However, on the day of her wedding, he can’t bring himself to watch the woman he loves walk down the aisle to someone else. Kiera’s already having second thoughts and knows she can’t get married without his support. It’s not until she’s at the altar that she realizes she can’t let Jackson go and will do whatever it takes to keep him—even if it means running out on her own wedding.

This is book 4 in the Bishop Brothers series. Each book features a different brother and can be read as a complete standalone. HEA guaranteed!

I've heard it all now, the reason this shithead fucked so many women including most of the heroine's friends was for her own good, so she wouldn't "like" him. But you know, while he was chasing and getting all that tail he was like totally in love with her. It only took over 15 years for him to get his fill of screwing every other woman, including most of her friends, to finally get around to the heroine because he was a coward.

At least this heroine had OM otherwise she would be even more pathetic and doormat like for this loser. I'm done with this author, the heroes are always so in love with the heroine that they can't stop themselves from screwing every other woman, including all the heroines friends, while keeping her on ice for years. The heroine is always a doormat to these losers, everything is immediately forgiven or not even addressed. Pathetic.

Nothing says love story and true love than when the guy is a uncontrollable slut who can't keep his pants zipped up for every other woman but the heroine.....for 15 years, yeah true love my arse. Eye roll.

For ONCE I would like a strong heroine (rather than one that is called strong but is completely a doormat) call out the loser hero on all his fucking around and actually make him work to get her, rather than just roll over for the sleazebag the second HE decides he can make a commitment to the heroine. These so called "romances" are pitiful. Give me a heroine who is actually strong and feisty because this one was not.

And they only get together after 15 YEARS because she leaves her groom at the alter to chase after the cowardly H, yep, he's NOT the one who chases her, she embarrassingly chases him, it's completely cringworthy. Frankly in the end she deserved him because the more I read the more she turned me off too. The more I read the less and less motivated I was to finish because I did not believe either Jackson or Keira and frankly disliked them both, and all of a sudden Jackson is all in I don't believe him for a minute!

Burn baby, burn.
Kennedy Fox have perfected the art of the slow burn and while Keeping Him as a novel wasn't the slowest burn I've ever read, as a series this couple definitely wins the award for slowest relationship movement EVER. These two are as hard headed as they come, meaning the flame between them burns so darn bright anyone can see it, except them. We've gotten to know Jackson and Kiera throughout the previous novels in the Bishop Brothers series, so we already know they're meant to be, but the ride they've been on is a twisted on and it's hard to tell where it's going. With a ring on her finger and Trent waiting for her at the end of the aisle Kiera has to make some tough choices about love, life, and the future she wants for herself. If you think an angsty novel feels like a rollercoaster, try falling in love with Jackson Bishop when you're a teenager.

"I was never the right guy for you, but you were always the right girl for me."

Keeping Him has been at the top of my most anticipated list since we first met Alex in Taming Him. Sure, I have a soft spot for Evan and I never could have predicted how John's story would work out, but Jackson is the temptation no girl can deny and I was desperate to see what Kennedy Fox had in store for him. Turns out, it was a lot. We get to know the fast-talking, whiskey drinking cowboy and find out there's quite a lot more to him than one night stands and being late to work always. Sure, he's easy on the eyes, but there's a lot of heart to him and I really like that he was the last brother to have a book in the series. He's easy to judge, but even easier to fall for once you know him. And Kiera? Every female is on her side. She's beautiful, smart, and considered part of the Bishop's family, but her friendship with Jackson was always just a hopeful plea for more. I cheered that girl on as she fought for what she wanted, both in learning to love another and in discovering her own personal self worth. She has so much more strength to her and I love that as a character she gets an individual story that has a lot of meaning to it. I struggled with a lot of her choices, but I also appreciated the growth she went through because of them. Told from dual perspectives with past and present chapters we get to know the teens they used to be and the adults they've grown into. These two have so many mistakes between them, but watching them work through them is what makes this book so good.

Truth or dare?

Like all KF books, there's drama, smut, and in the Bishop Brothers' cases, a whole heaping pile of family loving. This little town of Texans has been such a joy to read about, I feel like I've been there and know every single person. Keeping Him was a fantastic read for me, I loved the drama, the bit of suspense we got, and of course all the romancing. No one does it better than the Bishop Brothers, that's for sure. This book has been more than worth the wait and if you've not met the brothers yet, get on it.

random ramblings:

-we get this couple introduction throughout previous books in the series
- I didn't like Jackson and Kiera in previous books
- and all that pinning while being with other people got old pretty fast so I wasn't intrigued with their story and finished it because I wanted to get closure with the Bishop family
- half of the book is in the past; months before Kiera's wedding with another man
- friends to lovers trope with all things I dislike about the trope
- in love with each other for 15 years yet being with other people and hero sleeping with a lot of women in their small town many of her "friends"
- the ridiculousness of his long-ass letter
- "I'm not with you because I'm not good for you"

- I'm glad she wasn't a doormat waiting for him to pull his head out of his ass
- which he did THE DAY BEFORE her wedding
- Jackson is no hero in my eyes and I have no sympathy towards him

- this should have been a big finale of them finally getting together and yeah it's not good

- I enjoyed other books in this series

4.5 to 5 Stars...

Keeping Him was on my most anticipated read list. How could it not be? After reading the first book, which was Alex and River's story, all I wanted was to see the Bishop men get their happily-ever-afters.

From the first book, we know there is something between Kiera and Jackson. They were best friends since childhood and were always there for each other. Kiera was in love with Jackson for so long, believing her feelings for him were unrequited. I am going to say this...Jackson ticked me off a lot; from book one in this series to his own story. He is portrayed as a jerk. His lifestyle was not one I was happy with despite the reasons he lived that way. I wasn't so sure I fully understood his behavior. Some of his actions were unforgivable. Kiera was truly and uncondidtionally in love with Jackson. She would have to be to forgive his actions.

Now, Kiera was not perfect either. Yes, she had a heart of gold. However, she made some mistakes. The most obvious was staying with Trent for so long. I can't say too much about the relationship dynamic between Trent and Kiera, or Jackson and Kiera, or even Jackson and Trent. There is a story here that unfolds slowly with a lot of angst. I can say that I thought Kiera staying with Trent as long as she did was wrong. And as a result of that, Trent became someone she didn't know as well as she thought. I can't help but to feel that Trent's personality change was sparked because of his insecurity with Kiera. You'll have to read to form your own opinions but as obvious as it was that Trent was "losing it," I'm a little troubled by my belief that he was unintentionally provoked. And by the end of the story, I was sad for him. Truly, I never disliked him. If this book didn't end the way it did, I would have wished for this author to find him his own happy ending.

Ok, enough about that. Despite my concerns, I loved this book. The writing style of Kennedy Fox has always been one that I loved. This author duo always does an amazing job with premise, plot and resolutions. The end of the book was everything I hoped it would be. I also loved that Kiera and Jackson's love for each other was believable. I just hated that they had to go through so many years of secretly loving each other before their HEA. But the waiting made it all the more perfect.

This was a beautiful story. I absolutely loved seeing the true Jackson revealed. My heart is heavy that this series is over. I can only hope that we will get glimpses of the Bishops in future books by Kennedy Fox. This is a series that I highly recommend. You will find angst, suspense, humor, loyalty and plenty of loving!

This is my honest and unbiased opinion. Thank you for taking the time to read it. :)

I hate it when I don’t love a book that everyone else seems to have enjoyed. It makes me think I’m a bit broken. Or maybe they are?

I haven’t read the other books in the series but I don’t think that would have changed my views.

Kiera Young has loved Jackson Bishop since she was 15 and known him even longer but he friend zoned her and she had no choice but to move on because she is desperate to get married and even more desperate to have babies. Urghhhhhhhh!

So desperate that she is going to marry Trent who is a total psycho dick! It totally wound me up and made me not like Kiera.

The story flips around from present to past to explain the events leading up to Trent and Kiera’s wedding and the aftermath post wedding.

True love wins but the story didn’t win my heart.

There is so much I could say here and I have been searching for the right/perfect words for the past two days but let's be real... when I get emotional or giddy over a book I just ramble so it's bound to happen here cuz I'm both at the moment.

Keeping Him has possibly been my most anticipated book in the last year. I have been waiting for Jackson since the first book in the series and I knew from the very start he was bound to be my favorite, and that this was a case of saving the best for last. And it's the greatest thing to know that all along I was right and oh boy was this book worth the long wait!

Jackson and Kiera's story has been given to us crumble by crumble up until this point; with each book in the series you'd see them through the other characters' eyes and you'd get to watch the longing and the hurt that existed between and the mess that Jackson became every time Kiera and her boyfriend were in the same room as him. All of that made me crave this book like crazy and only added fuel to the fire that was my anticipation.

These two have been best friends since they were little kids and have been in love with each other since their teens, but Jackson never made a move, not when Kiera's feelings were so obvious and not even when everyone else knew that he loved her too. He refused to give in and confess his feelings and I had been dying to know why. Kiera has waited on the sidelines for 15 years without nothing from Jackson, tired of waiting and when the perfect guy comes along she doesn't pass up the chance to move on. Two years later she's about to marry the guy when she finds out that he isn't as perfect as she thinks he is, things don't feel right anymore and she leaves him at the alter. We all know who she runs off to ;)

These two will make you crazy, want to throw your reading device, they'll frustrate you but also make you swoon and tear up like no other. They will have you on the edge of your seat waiting and guessing how it will all end. Their shenanigans will make you laugh out loud and their friendship will make you wish you had a friend like them when you were a kid. You'll get to meet new characters and boy are they fun. I loved both Travis and Colton and I'm so happy one of them is getting his own book but I wish they both would because both of them are amazing and I want more from each of them.

Keeping Him is a childhood friends to lovers romance that you will love. It's a real slow burn that will have you flipping pages as fast as you can so you can know everything, past, present and future. These two have an amazing story that with every past detail you know, you'll just be more amazed and enamored with Jackson Bishop. He might be a player but oh man he has such a good heart where it counts. I fell more in love with him and I didn't think that was possible at this point. I loved finally reading his mind and learning the why behind his actions. Getting to see both him and Kiera lusting, longing for each other was hard, be prepared to tear up a lot, these two will pull all the emotions out of you. But even when it hurts you'll be begging for more because you just have to know everything and see how it will all pan out with all the revelations and the secrets unveiled.
This story also has a bit of suspense mixed in, which I loved. It's all around Trent so honestly it was brilliant, and I pegged him from the beginning, he just never really seemed genuine. Having their past, mixed in with the slow burn and the suspense really made this book brilliant. It was honestly way more than I had been expecting and omg I loved it so so much! I need a reread asap!

I'm not ready to say goodbye to the Bishop family! Although I am super happy I finally got my man's book, I'm also super sad that it's over and there will be no more bishop books *cries bittersweet tears*. I need more!! I'm happy that at least we will be getting some bonus scenes soon but it will never be enough. This is a series that will go down in history for me and I'll be revisiting these characters again and again because I love them with all my heart and I'll never be ready to say goodbye to them.

By far my favorite book of this series! I couldn't wait to jump into Jackson and Kiera's story. This was one of those books that I wanted to read faster to find out what happens next yet slow it down so it never ends. And now I can't listen to Mercy by Brett Young without thinking of these two ❤️

Can be read as standalone but there's so many appearances by family/side characters that you should start at the beginning so you can appreciate their appearances and love their updates too.

The H’s reasoning for not getting with the h when they were younger is kinda honorable. She dated his best friend and the 3 were childhood friends. She broke up with the BF when she went to college and the H didn’t want to stop her dreams cuz he was just gonna be a rancher and he wanted her to travel and see the world. I’m good with all that.

Fucking her friends in high school, not ok.

Letting 10 years pass after she moves back to town after college and not telling her he loves her, not ok.

Fucks a ton of randoms during that decade, not ok.

Let’s recap:
She moves back to town.
She works with horses.
He’s a fucking horse rancher.
Who else is she gonna date but other horsey people?

Why isn’t the next step for him claiming her the moment she hits town after college???

That’s where he loses me. Cuz if he just fucks randoms and loves her and is still her best friend and he knows she likes him for that whole fucking decade...then he either just wanted to fuck a bunch of women or he’s a cowardly, emotional potato.

Take your pick.

Oh, how I’ve been anticipating Jackson and Keira’s story. There was angst between them that was apparent from the previous Bishop Brothers books.

Their love bloomed when they were so young and for years they’ve quietly pined for each other. Jackson, like most men, was stubborn and denied it to everyone while Keira moved on with her life hoping that Jackson would eventually get his head out of his butt and admit his feelings. But a girl can only wait for so long before she catches that next fish.

Their journey was a long one but so worth the wait. After hurdling so many obstacles they finally made the way to each other and once they did everything fell into place. Their puzzle pieces fit perfectly.

At times I was so frustrated with Keira...she just wanted that fairytale life so badly she was ignoring so many important signs that things just weren’t right in her relationship and I was so glad when she finally came to her senses.

The final book in the series was the one I most looked forward to and I wasn’t disappointed.

Ughhhhhh! What did I do to deserve such a punishment?!!
Three books, fifteen years and another half book later, THEY’RE FINALLY TOGETHER!!!

So here’s the thing. They’ve been best friends since forever. Inseperable since diapers. Loved each other for over fifteen years!!! and everyone knew this, but they waited until she almost married someone else. She was literally walking down to the altar. I kept thinking what would have i done if i’d been in her shoes. I’m over the moon in love with a guy for all my life, but he whores around with every female possible and doesn’t give me any freaking sign that he loves me more than a friend or sister. Then i happen to meet a great guy, perfect on paper and since i’m thirty year old and i really want to start a family of my own, i settle for him, even if my heart and soul belong to the asshole with his head way up his butt. Thank God for best friends and last minute change of heart and we got a long overdue happy ending.

I freaking love the Bishops. Southerns to the core, big family, true values, strong females with backbones the size of Texas and real awesome men.
I’m rating this with 4⭐️ just because i hated waiting for so damn long for Jackson and Keira to be happy together.

Keeping Him is another fantastic book in a fantastic series! All of the books in this series are great! I totally recommend you read them.

I loved Jackson and Kiera’s story. They are friends who become more. But it’s not as simple as that. It takes a while for them to get together and they have a lot of drama and issues, including Kiera being engaged to Trent. Although their relationship was a rollercoaster of emotions and drama, I enjoyed every minute of it.

Keeping Him is well written- Kennedy Fox’s stories always are. Their writing is seamless and they always have great storylines. Keeping Him hooked me from the beginning and I couldn’t put it down. I am sad to see the series end, but I know whatever Kennedy Fox writes next will be fantastic.

THIS IS KENNEDY FOX'S BEST BOOK YET!!!

KEEPING HIM IS IN MY TOP 5 BOOKS OF THIS WHOLE YEAR!

I am IN AWE at the brilliance of this whole novel. KF swept me off my feet and just blew me away! Jackson's book is the one I've been waiting for since before the Bishop Brothers series started and man they DELIVERED one hell of an intense, incredible story with ALL THE FEELS!!

I've been reading Kennedy Fox since their first book back in 2016. And I know first hand that with each and every book they have gone from strength to strength. Their writing, which has always been flawless, was even more so in Keeping Him. Their storytelling was MORE emotive and gripping. Everything was just MORE.

Thank you, Kennedy Fox, for giving me one of my FAVE series EVER!

Slow burn? ✔️
Angst? ✔️
Dirty talking & sweet cowboy? ✔️
Suspense & drama? ✔️

This book had a little of everything and it made for one amazing story! I can’t believe this series is over, but what a ride it has been! The story between these two started brewing since book one (and way before that) and it was definitely worth the wait!

It’s so hard to pick which was my favorite, but the bishop brothers in general are some of the best sibling/family books I’ve read! Kennedy Fox outdid themselves and I am excited to see what other stories they come up with!

This book could have been half. The descriptions are way too much. Very detailed and I skimmed sooooo much that I skipped a lot of pages. I liked it at times but I hated how the book was organized. The whole 4 months before the wedding, 3 months before the wedding. Ughh It was just driving me crazy. Amd the more I read, the more I disliked her. I just wanted to say “you are a dumb biatch for staying with him for soooo long” but meh I pulled through.
It was just ok. Could have been way better.

I didn't want Keeping Him to end! Ok, so let's start with some honesty.......and nobody throw tomatoes at me buuuuut Jackson was my least favorite of the Bishop brothers. ***runs and hides*** I know. Let me explain though. Through all of his brother's books I didn't feel a connection with him. He seemed childish, he never took anything seriously and well.....he was a giant ho!

This was hard for me to accept because he had this amazing woman, Kiera in his life who clearly had feelings for him and he just turned his back on it.

Well, I was completely wrong about Jackson. Turns out he's actually really caring and kind, unselfish......sweet and extremely charming.

I love the pace K & F took with Jackson and Kiera’s story because there's a lifetime of history between them and it needed to be told. There was a lot of back story I wasn't aware of and it completely helped shape my feelings towards these two.

Kiera is marrying Trent. Trent is perfect. He's hard working, he adores Keira.......everything is great. Until is ABSOLUTELY is not. No spoilers but holy crap.......some shit goes DOWN!

Even before some major bombs are dropped Keira was having second thoughts and when Jackson is no where to be found as she walks down the aisle Keira has to make a tough decision.

Now.....you should know you're not getting through a Kennedy Fox book without some DRAMA! STEAMY LOVE SCENES! TWIST AND TURNS! SHOCKERS! WTF MOMENTS AND A FEW GASPS! But what I love most are the beautiful relationships and intimate bonds between family and friends.

Keeping Him is one of my favorite K & F reads!!!! It's AHHHHMAZING!

Oh my gosh this is my favourite of all of Kennedy Fox’s books! I’ve been dying to read Jackson and Kiera’s book from the start of this series. Jackson is my most favourite Bishop Brother! I knew underneath his silly antics and smart mouth was a huge heart and the way he loved Kiera for so long was just so beautiful. Don’t get me wrong there were points when I wanted to strangle him in the first half of the book for not opening his damn mouth but the angst and slow burn KF delivered here was just pure perfection! This book is the ultimate friends to lovers story with heartache and angst but my gosh it was worth it in the end to see these beautiful people get their HEA! No one deserved it more. Kiera also had the blinders on, I mean come on Jackson is good but it is so apparent how in love he was with her but she claimed to have no idea. They both deserve a gold metal for not acting on their feelings for 15 years. It really made the build up so much more though and when they were around each other the heat and intensity between these two was off the charts.

The entire Bishop family are all so special. The family unit they’ve created with Mama Bishop being the fiercest of them all I love. I also loved getting glimpses of Courtney and Drew again and the triplets and all the Bishop brothers and their wives and kids.

KF have outdone themselves with this series. The Bishop Brothers have owned my heart from the beginning of the series and I am dying to get into Circle B Ranch and read the next generation of Bishops.

How is this the end of the Bishop boys?!?! It makes me so happy that Kennedy Fox did a spin-ff to feature Courtney's crazy brothers but I can't believe we've finally reached the end of all their stories!!

Keeping Him focuses on Jackson and his longtime crush/best friend Kiera. When I tell ya'll that Kennedy Fox had me cussing, wanting to throw my kindle, and screaming at these characters, it's no joke! OMG it was such an intense (more so than their other Bishop books, IMO) and amazing journey. This book is longer than the previous Bishop books but that's because there is so much history between Jackson and Kiera, it had to be done in order for you to get their full story.

Keeping Him goes between present past and present tense, in both character's POVs...but it's done without being confusing. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time and couldn't wait to see their journey.

I love this cowboy and his horse-training cowgirl. Their journey was bittersweet but I wouldn't change a single thing. I also think you should listen to the Spotify Playlist because it fits them to perfection.

I can't leave the Bishop boys forever though....I'll visit the Circle B ranch again because there's just something about these Southern Cowboys that keeps you coming back for more!!

Jackson Bishop & Keira Young have been best friends since they were in diapers. As teens, Keira developed romantic feelings for Jackson and she always hoped he’d develop feeling in return for her, but he never made a move. And as the years went on, Keira started to give up hope that Jackson would ever choose her. Even worse, Jackson was well known for being a playboy and the king of one night stands.

Keira waited over 15-years for Jackson and had given up hope, when she discovered a love letter from him inside her purse. Enclosed in the letter, Jackson said everything Keira had been waiting so long to hear. The only problem? She discovered his letter on her wedding day, to another man...

Keeping Him by Kennedy Fox is the fourth & final book in the Bishop Brothers series. I’ve been waiting for their romance since it was alluded at the very start of the series. This was such an angsty, heartfelt, slow-burn childhood friends to lovers romance. And I loved every second of it! I also adore the Bishop family and I’m not ready to say goodbye to them. Good thing the next generation (their kids) have their own series! 5/5 stars.

A small town soap opera, I liked this a lot! A fun end to a fun series. It went on a little bit too long but I really loved Kiera & Jackson. Their friends to lovers story was filled with ups and downs but the way they cared for each other so deeply was so sweet.

This is REVOLTING to say the least!! I just can not understand the concept of LOVE that some authors have!! In that case, the love of our "good guy" is to have sex with a lot of women for YEARS! INCLUDES HEROIN'S FRIENDS !!! And that always claiming that you want the girl to be happy ??? And does it all shamelessly KNOWING that the girl loves him ???? And still has the courage to say that he thinks her fiancé is the one who does not DESERVE HER, that her fiancé is what will hurt her when HE HAD DONE THAT FOR YEARS AND IN THE WORST WAYS? And on top of that, n own heroin wedding rehearsal still flirts with another woman ?? Is that love, or even consideration?? And then when he realizes that she has moved on with her life and is happy, does he feel ready to take on his feelings? What feelings? Selfishness ???? Because for me it was all that this book dealt with, selfishness, chaos, immaturity, promiscuity and lack of consideration! So she's going to be with the guy, but I do not see a happy future, not when she can not get most of her "friends" at home, because she'll know that her "man" has had sex with most of them!! DISGUSTING! Have mercy, unfortunately this kind of notion of love does not surprise me, but I think it's wrong that this type of distortion is so widespread, it's not for nothing that we see so many toxic relationships and families destroyed lately. And seeing this starting from women makes everything even more discouraging. Just another big disappointment. Sorry, but this is bullshit.

I had super high expectations with this book since i’ve been waiting for their story for like forever and I was rooting for them since the beginning ... unfortunately this book didn’t meet my expectations at all...
I hated the first part of the book with passion, at the point that i wanted to stop reading. The chapters “before the wedding” pissed me off so much, i don’t understand how Keira could look past all those red flags and when something happened she went to her cousin that tried to tell her that it was ok and that she had to understand the situation she was putting Trent in? Hell no.
Keira’s whole attitude until 50% of the book made me dislike her.
This first half of the book ruined it for me.

After the 50% mark and the start of present day i really started to enjoy the book, that was the story i was waiting for! The Keira i knew and loved . And Jackson! Swooooon!
The second half of the book was a solid five stars for me!

Okay first let me say, I normally post my reviews right after finishing my book. But, my cell data has been down so it's a day late.

Anyways. Keeping Him is Jackson and Keira's story which I had been waiting for since Checkmate This is Reckless.

Jackson Bishop is your typical southern Playboy. His lifestyle is working with horses on his family ranch, and sleeping with women. Under his womanizing, overly cofident, wild card ways his harboring secret feelings for his best friend. But it's not as simple as just making her his. Especially now that she is engaged to be married to another man.

Keira Young is sassy, and outgoing and one of the best horse trainers in the area. She's had feelings for her best friend since she was fifteen, waiting years for him to confess his feelings. But she can't wait around forever. When her boyfriend who promises her the world pops the question- Keira says yes, ready to settle down and start a family.

Has Jackson lost Keira for good? Jackson realizes he can't stand by and watch Keira marry another man- no matter how much he just wants her to be happy. But can Keira stand up at the alter and say I do, even without her best friend's support?

I absolutely have loved Jackson since I first read about him in Courtney & Drew's story, and so glad he finally has his story told. Jackson is your typical troublemaker always up to no good. He's unpredictable- and you never know what he is going to say or do next. But there is more to him than just his charm. He has a sweet spot for his best friend. And when she started dating Trent, it put a strain on their friendship. Can their friendship last through the engagement or will Jackson have to let her go for good?

Keira is full of sass and fun. She's secretly has been in love with her best friend since they were kids. I love that she is outgoing, sassy, and can dish out just as kick as she gets. Growing up with the Bishops they have always been a second family to her, and she can hold her own against the Bishop boys. When Jackson has plenty of opportunity to confess his love for her but doesn't, Keira realizes she can't wait around forever, and let her life pass her by- especially when a man sweeps her up off her feet. But as the wedding date draws near, is Keira getting cold feet, or is the thought of Jackson just messing with her head?

These two are perfect for each other. Keira can hold her own against Jackson- and even put him in his place when need be. Their friendship is sweet- Jackson having a side only reserved for Keira. He is protective of her, and just wants her to have everything she has ever dreamed of- even if it's not him giving her those things. He's willing to sacrifice his own happiness & heart- watching her marry another man just so she could get the happily ever after she's always wanted.

Their story is filled with angst, and starts slow building over fifteen years. Then their heat just explodes onto the page. And with any Kennedy Fox story there's a touch of crazy. This book is well worth the wait! It was sweet, angsty, hot, sexy, crazy, and then some! You also find out more about the rest of the Bishop Crew! It was the perfect ending to an amazing story, series, and family. 5 ⭐ out of 5 ⭐.

[ I received a digital ARC for an honest review]

The Bishop brothers series finally comes to an end, and Kennedy Fox has definitely saved the best for last. Evan may be my favorite brother but Keeping Him is my favorite book of the series. I'm going to keep this review short and sweet because I don't want to spoil a second of this wild ride of a book.

Kiera Young has not so secretly been in love with Jackson Bishop since she was a kid. Jackson has always felt the same but never wanted to hold her back from getting everything she deserved in life. Eventually she realizes she has to move on, and she seems to be doing just that , from finding a good man to getting ready to walk down the aisle. The first half of Keeping Him we learn a lot about Kiera and Jacksons childhood relationship from both their perspectives. Readers are given a look into what's going on in both their minds leading up to the wedding and discover that maybe things aren't as good as they seem to be for Kiera.

Kiera ultimately decides to run out on her own wedding for the chance at a future with Jackson. Afterwards the story is full of truths, intimacy, suspense, and a whole lot of emotions.

Keeping Him was the prefect ending for the Bishop brothers series. It had a little of everything I love in a romance. Great sexual chemistry, heartfelt expression, fun antics, shocking revelations and so much more.

“Are you happy?” he whispers. “I just want you to be happy. It’s all I’ve ever wanted.”

You’re going to ruin me in more ways than one, sweetheart. I just hope you’ll be ready for it…”

Wow oh Wow, I cannot believe I have come to the end of another Kennedy Fox book series. This is a sad day! But what a way to finish another fantastic series. I know the Bishop brothers started as a spin off from the Checkmate Duet series but it has definitely got a firm fan in me. I mean what is there not to love about intense, hot, sexy, alpha males, who are freaking Cowboys!

Keeping Him finally brings us the story of the most outrageous of the Bishops, The Jackson Bishop- playboy extraordinaire, and his life long best friend Kiera Young. We have been following Jackson and Kiera in the background during all the other Bishop brothers storylines, but it is now D-day for this couple.

Jackson loves Kiera, Kiera loves Jackson, everyone else in the entire town knows how they feel about each other, it has been going on from they where fifteen. Now in their early thirties Kiera has given up waiting and is about to marry a man who wants her. Denying her feelings for Jackson has become like second nature at this point, every time she sees him with another woman it is like a dagger to her heart and she has decided that moving on is the best thing for her.

Jackson is an idiot! There is really no other word to describe how daft he is being in regards to Kiera. With the way he acts, the cocky, confident self-assured man-child you wouldn't think he had so many insecurities when it comes to Kiera. He thinks he isn't good enough for her and refuses to put himself out there for fear of being hurt later down the line. But anyone can see how much she loves him, and he has done everything in his power to try and make her hate him. Well time has run out! It's the wedding day, what will Jackson do? What will Kiera do?

This book is a serious slow burn. Because of their history, Jackson and Kiera have so much more to tell us that just what is in their future, we are treated to the lead up to the wedding and how Jackson begins to spiral the closer the day gets, however he is not the only one spiralling out of control. There are some crazy twists in the road ahead.

Actions have consequences let's hope the price to pay is not too steep.

A show stopping finale, I will miss the Bishop brothers so much. Each story has taken me on an exciting journey all leading back to Circle B Ranch. This has been an amazingly wild ride and I am just so sad it has come to an end.

You do not want to miss out on these fine as heck Cowboys! Yeehaw!

5 Wild stars!! I have been waiting for this book since book one!! Jackson did not disappoint!!

This is book Four in the “Bishop Brothers” series (and I am not sure if it is the last but I hope not!!) and to be honest this was my favorite!! I would not suggest reading this as a stand alone.

This is a funny and dramatic , friends to lovers romance. Kiera and Jackson have been skating around this for sooo many years. And you can feel it through out this entire series.

I don’t think this book needs an overview because if you have kept up with the series you are ready to go!! Now just know this book is everything you expected and more.

Jackson Bishop is the playboy we all want to tame and damn if Kiera didn’t do just that. And I want to point out that I had no clue about Trent (I won’t spoil it, but damn!!). The first part of the book was frustrating and I was ready to loose my shit. But then it happened. It all started to look up and that moment I fell head over heels for Jackson Bishop. I love this man!! Not only do I love him but his whole entire family. Mama Bishop raised some really great men!! And I am glad with every book these authors made sure you still kept in touch with everyone.

This book was quite lengthy and possibly some cuts could have been made but this is a, 15 year plus love story. This book gave me the feels, made me angry, scared, sad, in-love, turned on and I definitely laughed my ass off quite a bit.

If you haven’t started this series yet, I highly recommend it. This book, especially!!

I knew there was so much more to Jackson and Kiera’s story but I had no idea what a wild ride I was in for when I settled in to read Keeping Him, book four of the Bishop Brothers!

Kiera and Jackson have been best friends for almost their entire lives, and in love with each other for just as long. While everyone else has known this not very well kept secret, Jackson believes Kiera deserves so much more than he can provide for her and just wants to see her happy. But when the day finally comes that someone else has stolen Kiera’s heart, Jackson has to come to terms with letting her go, for good.

To say I was truly surprised at the intensity of this story is an understatement. While I see where Jackson thought he was doing what was best for Kiera, it broke my heart to see how much he truly struggled with the reality he was losing her for good. The push and pull between Jackson and Kiera was so strong and then throw in the relationship with Kiera and Trent? WOW! So many things I never saw coming!! I sat holding my breath for probably half the book!

I’m sad the journey is over. Kennedy Fox has given us four of the most amazing stories with the Bishop Brothers and Keeping Him is by far the best! They gave us the most wonderful love story of two life long friends, a story 15 years in the making, and it was the sexiest, sweetest, craziest love story I’ve read. A definite MUST read as the perfect ending to the Bishop Brothers series!

3 Friend to Lovers CROWNS

While I love Keira and Jackson and the whole Bishop clan, this story fell flat for me. There are moments that I love – the epilogue, the letters, the flashbacks. All perfect. Each delicious moment together, the kind of love they foster is special, the kind of real forever love we hope to find in life, but the journey they take to get their didn’t have the magic I was anticipating.

Keria and Jackson are in the whole series, so I personally felt like I knew a lot about them walking into the story. Still, there is a considerable amount of time devoted to the “before” the wedding moments. I felt like I was reading summaries of the other books a bit with some more information being given from Jackson and Keira’s perspectives. I wanted this before to be shorter and to have more after. I wanted the angst of the fallout from the wedding. I wanted to see them fight to be together. I know they had been separated for 15 years, but the come together happened a bit too seamlessly for me.

Trent’s character is also unexpected. With how often we see him in the previous books, there should have been some kind of ground work laid about his character. There are tons of instances of foreshadowing in Keeping Him, but it seemed so out of character for what we know of him from the previous books. I would have been completely okay with his change in character if there would have been some type of implication of what was to come in this book.

Although this book didn’t live up to my personal expectations, the Bishop brothers will, without a doubt, be a favorites series. The family feeling, the simplicity of living and loving also makes my heart warm, and I have truly come to love this family through these four books.

I was so sad this was the end of the Bishop Brother’s series!

But at the same time, I’ve been anticipating Kiera and Jackson’s story since the very beginning, so it was with much excitement that I settled in to read this book.

I loved and appreciated that we were given a backstory of the history shared between Jackson and Kiera, it was bittersweet and frustrating because the chemistry between them was there from the start but it just never seemed to be the right time for them to give into it.

I wasn't too happy with Kiera for some of the decisions she made, I think she put a lot of blame on Jackson without owning up to her own mistakes.

Especially when it came to Trent or even her actions as a young teen involving Jackosn's best friend. I mean if she knew how she felt for Jackson why even go there ya know? To me, it just set the complicated path of their relationship for all those years.

Unfortunately, as a result, Kiera isn't my favorite heroine from the series but I do love her and Jackson together.

The sexy scenes in this book were probably the steamiest I've ever read by Kennedy Fox!

Explosive and seriously face fanning.

Keeping Him was a deliciously slow burning romance full of characters that are easy to love (or hate), angst, laughter, and an unexpected dramatic plot twist you'd never see coming!

A great conclusion to an amazing series, a series I will miss but plan to reread as often as possible.

Very excited to see what's next by this dynamic duo!
