PROS:
Extremely Small
Good Bluetooth Range
Loud
Long Battery Life (4+ Hours Easily)
Wireless Charging (sort of)
Two USB Chargers
Connects with Multiple Devices
CONS:
Sub-par Sound Quality
Can Fall Out of Ear
Honestly, there is little more that I would want from this earbud. Does it fall out of your ear sometimes like others have been complaining? Yes, if you are walking or running, you'll probably have to push it back in with some frequency. That doesn't mean it comes flying out unexpectedly, it just shakes loose, just like most other earbuds, and that's why some designs have rubber attachments that wrap around your ears. However, I didn't buy that model, I bought this one, and having to push the bud back in from time-to-time is far less annoying than having to strap on a crazy hearing-aid style wrap-around, personally. Also, since it comes with three different sized rubber earbuds, it is moderately customizable to your ear.
The "wireless charging" is awesome. How it works is the little USB chargers have two prongs in the center of an indentation that has a magnet behind it. The earbud sticks to the magnet and slides onto the prongs. If you practiced, you probably could throw it at the charger and have it start charging. I really can't stress how simple it is to attach, it's mildly magical. The magnet latches on and about a second later, the blue LED on the earbud turns and you know it is charging.
Pairing it with a bluetooth device is simple: When the earbud is off, hold down the button for about 5 seconds. At about second 3 you'll hear a slightly accented voice say "Device On" and then at second 5 it says "Device Ready to Pair" (I may be paraphrasing here). At that point you need to tell your bluetooth source (be it your phone, or your laptop, GPS, car, whatever) to start searching for a bluetooth device, and it should find a GoNovate G8 and then pair up after about 5 seconds or so. Then the voice will say "Device Connected" and you may even see the G8's power bar on your bluetooth source's screen. I can confirm it does this with the iPhone 5s, but does not with the MacBook Pro, for whatever reason.
You can have the G8 paired with multiple devices and run them simultaneously. HOWEVER: It will play audio from only ONE at a time. So you could be listening to music played by your computer, that would be interrupted when your phone gets a call, for example. Not as cool as playing both at the same time, but still useful.
Basic operation of the G8 is pretty simple: Hold down the little button for 3 seconds to turn it, listening for the voice prompt. You can pause or play music by clicking the button briefly. You can answer calls by clicking the button, or deny them by holding the button for 2 seconds. Plus, like starting it, you shut it down by holding down the button for 3 seconds. That's it. Just 1 button with different hold times, and everything is identified using voice prompts.
MY ONLY NEGATIVES:
Firstly: The sound quality isn't great on this thing. I would describe it as a bit "muddy", with a lot of different tones bleeding into each other. High notes are reasonably crisp, but voices and anything pushing into the bass ranges tend to lose distinction. Personally, I use the G8 to listen to podcasts, which don't require great sound quality. Everything is easy to hear and understand, but you aren't going to want to listen to complicated orchestral pieces on it. The G8 is designed for convenience and portability, and at $18, it is really cheap. It's not exactly a surprise that it can't match my over-the-ear, Sony Studio Monitor Headphones. What is crazy about modern technology isn't that the G8 isn't as far away from those Sony's as the price would indicate. It's no masterpiece for sound quality, but it is sufficient, and that's a long, long ways away from cheap headphones of twenty-years ago, or even ten, or possible even five-years ago.
Secondly: The original shipment arrived with a Flexible USB charger, and a non-adjustable Car USB charger. The Car USB charger worked perfectly, the Flexible USB Charger didn't fit the G8. So I contacted the seller and the immediately shipped me a second Car USB charger, which also works perfectly. I don't know if this is the case for all of the Flexible USB Chargers, but I must commend the seller (in this case: Ken from GoNovate) for rapidly responding and correcting the issue by providing a second Car USB charger for free. Now I have two chargers, as advertised, and they both charge the earbud perfectly.
CONCLUSION:
It is cheap. Its battery lasts a long time. It is very easy to use and setup. It doesn't hurt your ear. Charging it is very easy. It is cheap. The sound quality is good enough to not be annoying. It can be used by multiple devices. Plus: It is really quite cheap.
The sound quality is quite good. I wouldn't use it for primary music enjoyment, but I do sometimes listen to music and it sounds decent. It's a bit bass-heavy and lacks the crisp high end, but it's passable under the circumstances of this convenience factor and music sounds good. My only complaint is that the volume level is a bit loud in some cases. I often have it on the very lowest volume level and that's not very quiet.
It's great for listening to podcasts. That's my primary use.
The mic sensitivity is pretty good. However as best I can tell when making phone calls on the iPhone 7 Plus the mic is in Bluetooth HFP profile at 8khz/16-bit (at least according to the audio app I used) which is "telephone" quality. I don't know how common it is for other headsets to use 16khz/16-bit or if 8khz is the most common. So nothing special about this, but you are going to sound similar to many car systems. Therefore if you make "HD-Voice" calls, you will not sound HD. To be clear, I think the mic sensitivity is not a problem, rather a limitation of Bluetooth HFP mode.
By way of comparison, I also have Airpods and appearently using a different Bluetooth profile, mic audio is very clear and worth for HD Voice calls. Airpods are only a little bit lower quality than wired mic which is, of course, extremely crisp and clear.
Bottom line, when I talked to my wife, she says I sound "fine" and similar to what I sound like on my car system, but she's used to hearing me on wired headsets and Airpods over HD Voice calls.
Listen to audio is still higher rate A2DP, but when on a phone call it uses the HFP ("voice quality" HFP) at 8khz vs using "wideband audio" HFP at 16khz.
It comes with two magnetic charging docks. One for home/office, one for the car. The charger is well designed.
It's really comfortable and sits in the cup of my ear. I can wear it all day. It's small and low profile so it's not really obvious to people that you're wearing an earbud. My Airpods which are better in every way and always preferable, but I don't always want to wear them or take them with me. This is tiny, inexpensive so I'm not afraid of losing it, and I can just stick it in my pocket and bring it with me anywhere with no worries. It's perfect for that or to just wear all day keeping your other ear free and if you get a call, it's great to have handy.
I have been using Airpods for running because they're perfect (a game changer) but my last run I tried using this one and it worked out really well. For music it's not going to sound better than stereo headsets (Airpods are perfect for that,) but you can still listen on the G8 while keeping an ear free and the music isn't bad. If you do audio books or podcasts, it ends up working out ideally. Keeping one ear open so you can hear around you is helpful. In some ways I prefer taking the G8 over Airpods and I'm still going back and forth between them.
It is symmetrical so it works well in either ear. I like to give my ears a rest and cycle back and forth between the two once in a while.
Bottom line? It's inexpensive and not a financial risk. I can tell you that it's good quality all around and you'll probably be really pleased. It's great for an additional tool in your headset arsenal if it's not going to be perfect for all of your needs.
I was absolutely happy with the sound quality, the size, the look.. it was perfect. Nobody noticed it and it instantly made work much less stressful. But after correctly charging it upon receiving it, the first playtime was less than 3 hours. My volume level was low and I didn't use it for phone calls so I was surprised. I charged it again and the same thing happened. It said that the battery life was supposed to be up to 6 hours. I was lucky if I was getting half of that. It's really a shame because I was floored by the sound quality for the price. Most cheaper earbuds aren't loud, crisp, or have decent bass but this joint was the exception.. so I'm really let down and sad today. I'm sending it back and now I have no distraction at work later and it's a Friday night and we have 300+ reservations and it's climbing. It's going to be a tough night/weekend.

Small (a blessing and a curse..have lost one already..) and discrete looking.
Great sound (for small, bluetooth device). I listen to podcasts and audiobooks mostly and voice quality is spot on.
Range isn't great but that's to be expected and not usually a problem as carrying phone round with me.
Connection has been trouble free (Samsung S7 edge and S8 note), with reliable pairing and button responsiveness. Pop in ear, click to connect and click again to start book etc.
Best thing is that I can have this popped in while I shower in the morning..very convenient.
For reference I use a Sony SBH54 bluetooth device and Dunu Titan 1s for music.
edit: now have 3. 1 for listening to books in bed, 1 for walking to work, and 1 back-up in case I forget to charge one of the others.
