Hello, First name / my friend,
It's been just about a decade that I've been writing and publishing books and as far back as I can remember, I've been working on finishing a project the week of Thanksgiving (in the US) every single one of them. I never plan it this way but I always find myself facing some kind of deadline this time of year and being useless as far as preparing for the holiday goes.
I just sent off pieces of a project that won't see the light of day for almost two years (which I still can't wrap my mind around) but after I send this message, I'm signing off and going away on vacation with my family for the first time since 2019! Fingers crossed that the characters in my head will give me a bit of quiet.
They probably won't. That's why I always pack a notebook.
November is the month of novellas and I have a few suggestions for you here.
Orientation: they meet at new teacher orientation, he's the nerdy science teacher, he's the beefy phys ed teacher, they have a very NSFW phone call
Thresholds: holiday shenanigans + naughty moments in a dressing room, what more could you want?
Coastal Elite: Mr. and Mrs. Smith but make it beachy and throw in some acupuncture too. And he reads historical romances with her.
If you've blown through all of those, allow me to make some more suggestions.
Villain I'd Like to F… Anthology. I haven't had time to read this one yet but if it's anything like the Rake and Duke I'd Like to F…Anthologies, it's going to be amazing.
A Gentleman in the Street by Alisha Rai. This one is probably a touch too long to be considered a novella but I think you'll agree it's worth it.
