Staged (Exodus End World Tour Book 3) Kindle Edition

4.6 4.6 out of 5 stars 479 ratings

The world is his stage…
Exodus End’s legendary drummer, Steve Aimes, plays the role of a rock star better than anyone in the business. Since his divorce, he’s embraced every rock ’n’ roll stereotype and uses those vices to keep women at a safe emotional distance, while keeping their physical distance recklessly close. He vowed years ago to never give any woman the power to break his heart again. He just has to keep playing the part, and never drop his guard, and stop obsessing over the keyboardist in their new opening act. He didn’t want Roux’s band on this tour in the first place, but somehow she shattered his barriers without even trying. The only way he knows to save his heart from breaking is to make her his forever, so why does she keep pushing him away?

The stage is her world…
Roux Williams knows an opportunity like this only comes around once in a lifetime. Her band, Baroquen, has finally gotten their big break and are opening for Exodus End and Sinners—two powerhouses of rock—on the European leg of their world tour. She refuses to screw up this opportunity by getting involved with Steve Aimes no matter how gorgeous, sexy and surprisingly attentive he is. She can’t deny her attraction to him—the man has the body of a god and the face of a model—but he’s absolutely off limits. Maybe a lust-crazed weekend on a private island will get him out of her system. Or maybe she’ll fall even harder. Once the tour is over they can date, but until then she must keep her distance, because mixing business with pleasure is not only tabloid fodder, it’s professional suicide. But damn, why does he have to be so stubbornly irresistible?

When their worlds are rattled by a ploy staged to destroy them, Exodus End’s infamous bad boy and Baroquen’s not-yet-famous good girl must figure out a way to have it all and each other.

This is book 3 in the Exodus End World Tour series (a spin-off of the Sinners on Tour series). Book 1 (Insider) and Book 2 (Outsider) are also available, but this book can be read as a stand-alone.

Combining her love for romantic fiction and rock 'n roll, Olivia Cunning writes erotic romance centered around rock musicians. Raised on hard rock music from the cradle, she attended her first Styx concert at age six and fell instantly in love with live music. She's been known to travel over a thousand miles just to see a favorite band in concert. As a teen, she discovered her second love, romantic fiction -- first, voraciously reading steamy romance novels and then penning her own. Growing up as the daughter of a career soldier, she's lived all over the country and overseas. She currently lives in Quincy, Illinois.

I bought this book several years ago and reread Stages and all the previous books written before this one. I pull this whole series out every time I get in a book slump (we have all been there). I don’t know if it is how beautifully written they are or if Olivia Cunning just has the best imagination. Either way I fall back on this series over and over again. Word to the wise though this series is not finished and does not look like it is going to be. With that said I would still read it because it is just that good.

HE QUEEN OF ROCK STAR ROMANCE IS BACK AT HER BEST - AGAIN!!
2018 was a great year for sex and rock n roll! Legendary drummer Steve Aimes is about to embark on another Exodus End World Tour. This time, he will be without his best friend's group Twisted Element who has been replaced with an all female rock indie group BAROQUEN.
STAGED tells the story of Roux and her foster sisters/bandmates while mingling with rock and roll royalty - Exodus End. As their new opening act they are embarking on a once in a life time gig compliments of Sam Bailey - EE sneaky conniving manager. They generate interest along with some resentment even though Steve takes a personal, romantic interest in Roux Williams, the keyboardist of the group.
Once again, you are immerseed in the backstage inner workings and personal lives of the band as well as the sister/bandmates of BAROQUEN. It's thrilling to read about hotel sex, bathroom sex, private jet sex, private island sex - you get the picture. The sex scenes are inventive and dirty AF and that's what you WANT from Olivia Cunning's bad boys of rock.
It checks off all the rock romance must haves: Camaraderie between bandmates , Groupie Love, Sex, Drugs and Scandal , Private jets, over the top shopping sprees, and "why can't I get enough of you sex". Step inside the world of Exodus End and may you never want to leave.
Next up - Dare Mills! What is up with his broodiness and "I want no part of this rock lifestyle emptiness?" Unfortunately we will probably have to wait and wait and wait for it. I know, we will raise holy hell if we have to wait until 2020 but once we have Dare's story in our little hands, Cunning will surely make it worth it. I'm left with a major head banging hangover for this one!!!

I was a huge fan of the Sinners on Tour series and anxiously awaited this series. I was a little disappointed in Logan and Toni's story, I just never connected with their characters. I enjoyed the second book about Reagan, Trey and Ethan, but it was basically wrapping up the romance that started in Trey's book earlier. I was starting to worry about this series because I didn't feel the connection between the band members of EE that the Sinners had in spades. With this book though, we're starting to get a glimpse of the band dynamic with EE. They still don't seem to have the "best friends" vibe and camaraderie that Sinners had, but Staged is definitely a step in the right direction.

I liked Steve and Roux together. I enjoyed getting to know both of them through their conversations and visits with their families. Olivia had a blurb at the end of the book about her difficulties writing the sex scenes for them, and the lack of kink for them that she wrote for other characters. But I thought they had plenty of steam. To be honest, the thing I liked most about her Sinners series wasn't the kinky sex scenes, although I do enjoy reading hot rock star sex scenes, I mostly liked that she brought me up on stage with the band, and I got to sit on the bus with them and laugh at their banter. A lot of authors write hot sex scenes, but her style of writing really pulls you into the story, and that's what I'm looking for.

Staged was a solid 4 stars and makes me anxious for Dare and Max's books. Olivia, if you ever read these reviews, please consider Sed's sister for Dare. Just sayin'.

Best book in the EE series! I know - sacrilege when Outsider had Trey - but honestly, I am MADLY in love with the third book in the Exodus End series. I knew I would love it because it's Olivia Cunning but I was pleasantly surprised to be wild about Steve and Roux. The character's themselves were true and had fantastic depth. The storyline (no spoilers) was exciting and brought about some answers we have all be anxious for since book one. Olivia Cunning's books have always been a favorite but this book seems to bring her back into that "I-can't-put-this-down-just-one-more-chapter" realm again. Buy it today.

Staged was worth the wait!!!

When I found out Olivia Cunning had finally released the third Exodus End World Tour book, I decided that a re-read of the first two book, Insider and Outsider was in order.
After the re-read, Staged flowed beautifully and the story line arced perfectly.

Steve Aimes turned out to be a totally different person once he was with Katie "Roux" Williams and he was such a sweetheart. Katie's back story is heartbreaking and I am hoping to hear more about her sisters and Mama in future stories.

Loved seeing everyone again from Exodus End and Sinners and I cannot wait for Dare's book next!

Olivia Cunning never disappoints. I have read the Sinners series, Exodus End series and both Sole Regret series, every character is unique with their own story. I cannot wait for the next book no matter which series it is. She is a great writer.

I really did enjoy this book—particularly the ending—but it could be severely triggering for anyone who’s experienced gun violence, domestic violence, and/or been sexually assaulted. I really had a difficult time with the latter while reading it, but I do think Olivia did a good job of demonstrating the guilt the victim can feel, and the fact that it happened to a man vs a woman was a unique & needed perspective.
On a lighter note, I’m so completely in love with Steve & how he & Roux treat each other.

Olivia—PLEASE, PLEASE come back & finish this series!!!!! I so desperately want to hear what happens with Dare & Max, and now Zack, and Sam.

I was so excited when this book came out - it was even better than Iimagined. A slow burn leading to some serious heat, this story concentrates on the trails placed in Steve and Roux's way. Loved that Download got a mention, loved the appearances of some well loved characters but most of all I loved Steve and Roux. I'm looking forward to reading more about Baroquen in the future.

5.0 out of 5 stars Exodus End series and Sinner's series

I have read and thoroughly enioyed all of these books. One of the things I most enjoyed was the were balanced - personal lives, the pros and cons of living ing each others spaces, and laughing about it. (Being ex-navy, It can be extremely claustrophobic at times, especially if you are a non- drinker who likes privacy and space.) I hope a book about Dare will be written in the future.
The way in which all of the characters in both series melded together, supporting each other, having each other's backs through thick and thin was refreshing, even when they argued.
Keep up the good writing Olivia. I will definitely purchase your books.
