Heavy lawn mower on steep digs is a danger...this light weight cordless alternative makes it a safer task . Rechargeable battery has just enough work life for this senior.

Nice and light and easy to use. Time will tell how long the batteries last, but for now I can do my whole yard, which is pretty big, on 1 battery and still have power left over.

Great Trimmer

After charging the battery over night I used my trimmer this morning.  I have a 10,000 sf yard and used the product on the entire outline of the front yard and the back yard.  I used the low speed (1) and was able to complete the entire job.  I switched to high speed to see how much more I had left and it only lasted another 5 minutes or so.  Overall, I would estimate (I did not time) that the low speed setting will provide around 45 minutes of operation.  Also, love the front wheel for guiding edge work...made the job go smoothly and quickly.  The auto trimming for the cord worked perfectly...a nice feature.  Finally, the unit it light weight and well balanced.  For the price this is a hard to beat trimmer for individual home use.

I just bought one of these and absolutely love it!  Where have I been?  I'll never go back to using a cord!  This trimmer is so easy and fun to use that I went back there the store and bought a cordless blower. The little 20v to be exact. 
After watching a few videos on these I am so glad I went with Black and Decker!  Kudos on a great product!

Best trimmer I've ever had!

I purchased this trimmer a few weeks ago as I needed a tool that was easy to handle on my 75ft x 300ft property. For my purposes, this trimmer was fantastic. Light-weight, easy to handle, no cords to drag behind, no messing around with gasoline. Only gave it 4 stars because even with 2 batteries I couldn't quite finish the trimming in my whole yard before having to recharge them, but in all fairness I did put it through a pretty rigorous work out. Love this trimmer!

Gets the job done!

I received the trimmer from my son and daughter in law as a surprise gift after telling them about the blisters I get on my hands using my hand clippers.  I am a housewife 75 years old and never used a trimmer before the end of August 2019.  I am not perfect at using it yet but thus far, it works great.  My next challenge will be reading about and mastering edging  along my street curbs using the wheeled edge guard.

Easy to use, though a bit awkward re: the location of the button needed to enable one to activate the trimmer.  I have an older Black and Decker that uses an 18 volt battery.  My recent purchase (20  volt battery) seems to have less power.  I am interested in gauging the performance over time, and assess how well the batteries retain power.  Battery life and how long the battery retains its charge are important consideratins for me and its use on our .7 acre lawn

OK, but could use more power

Just bought one to replace a 2+ year old model that ran flawlessly until a few weeks ago when it would run and then stop running. Replacing the battery and charger made no difference. It would run sporadically, which was maddening. I bought a new one and ran it until the battery was used up (about 15 minutes), put a fresh battery in and it wouldn't run. Exact same issue as I had with my 2+ year old model. Waited about 6 hours for the original battery to recharge and it still would not run when I replaced the battery. The next afternoon while I was boxing it up to return it, I pushed the trigger and it ran! I returned it as clearly there is a major issue. My guess is they have faulty switches in this model. A relatively simple fix yet they do not make the part available to purchase.
