Cons: PCIe, I wanted a USB adapter as I am not a fan of antennas on my computer, but after 2 USb adapters that were just terrible, one cheap one not so cheap, I settled.
I bought this as a replacement for another that I had just returned. I built my computer a year ago and I started with a cheap trendnet USB Wireless AC adapter. I play online games regularly and packet latency, and throughput are very important here. The trendnet adapter worked fine for about a year and then it started to receive a weaker and weaker signal, it then got worse and started refusing to connect or it would just disconnect randomly. I then got a new USB adapter, a Netgear one, it had a great signal, and it was very consistent with packet latency. Unfortunately netgear's windows 10 drivers would horribly break windows and it only somewhat worked with the generic drivers. The netgear would drop packets periodically, even with it's strong signal and stability, this caused terrible lag in games and made it unusable for me. Then I found this, the beam-forming has allowed me to use my 5GHz network, as the tendnet couldn't get a good enough signal, the drivers work just fine with Win10 and it is just all around amazing, even looks good in my case with a black PCB and heatsync.
I was really excited when I got this in the mail today. I got even more excited when I actually got to unbox and install it in my system. I was looking forward to no more dropped signals and faster speeds on wi-fi.
All that excitement came crashing down after I booted up my system to find out I can't use this product because I am on Windows 10 and TP-LINK, "The Reliable Choice", has not released any drivers for Windows 10. Seriously it's been several months since Windows 10 (and its beta) officially launched for companies and developers to get their products working on the new OS. My old no-name company wi-fi adapter had their drivers ready for Windows 10 BEFORE IT LAUNCHED. This is just downright lazy on TP-LINK's part. As I said I will take some blame for not verifying the compatibility with Windows 10 but this really should've been taken care of a long time ago.
I will say the product looks and feels nice and seems quite powerful. I'll give an actual review if they ever come out with the drivers but right now I am disgusted with this company. Now I'm stuck with what I consider right now "junk". I would give negative stars right now if I could.
UPDATE 1
Windows 10 drivers for this product released today and the results so far have been great! Changed my rating up to three stars since it actually works now. Will update again after some more testing.
UPDATE 2
It's been about a week I believe since Windows 10 drivers came out and I believe I can now give a decent review.
I'll just keep this short and sweet. So far this product has been amazing. I haven't dropped signal despite the 3 bar connection I have on 5G (I have my desktop in a kinda bad spot to receive wi-fi). My speed jumped, according to speedtest.net, from ~35Mbps to ~220Mbps! 200 Mbps was the speed I've been paying for all along but could never take advantage of it. So despite being what I consider an early adopter and TP-Link's lack of Windows 10 support then, I now believe this product deserves 5 stars. I will definitely recommend this to friends trying to get high speeds.

One thing to note is that the antenna must be positioned properly for optimal performance. I find that having the antenna like so \ | / gives me good performance, but this may vary based on your computer's location, so experiment a little bit.
