Lingerie Shoot

Our first setup shows you a few beautiful poses for lingerie. Here we are using a sheer lace bodysuit, and making use of the available lights in the scene. I show you all the steps I take to refine the shot step by step to the final results.

We start the shoot on the sofa in a bodysuit, before moving to more revealing lingerie and standing poses. This is all part of easing our way into the shoot comfortably.

Reflections Nude Shoot

The first of our shots out of lingerie yielded some beautiful results.

The images to the left was one of several set ups we did that made use of the bathroom mirrors. We shot through a peep hole, used g string underwear before moving on to no lingerie.

I talk you through posing to reveal and conceal, as well as tricks to keep in mind when shooting reflection portraits.

Bedroom & Bathroom

Play to the strengths of your subject! Johanna has a wonderful smile and is very confident in her poses. Here we made use of window light and a very bland curtain to put together a series of different looks, before moving to shoot on the bed.

The bed is a very common area to shoot for a home or hotel shoot - so I didn’t want to exclude it. That said I feel the bed is often overdone, and not tastefully done. So we focussed on classy poses that work well with Jo’s curves.

Next up we head back to the bathroom to shoot some water shots. Knowing the way to time out the whole procedure, and the tricks to make it easy for the model to hold their pose are key.

The available light was no good, so I show you how to use on camera bounce flash to get great results, without adding unwanted reflections to the water surface.

Lying Bed Poses

When the available light is great - USE IT! As someone who regularly uses flash, you might think I am anti natural light - not at all! I am PRO ‘good light’. If you can use whats available to get the results you want - perfect! But when it is harder, softer or not the color you want - its great to know how to adapt.

Luckily in this case - we got lucky and caught the setting sun through the window, introducing some killer light on Jo!
