1) When you "tag" your club the unit vibrates. The vibration is very faint, so I am going to have to take it off of my belt and hold it in my hand in order to feel it. Several times last night I thought I "tagged" my club, but it didn't register. That resulted in some skewed numbers.
2) So far I have only been able to sync 2 courses. I have an email out to support, but they have not responded yet. It's been 3 day's now, so if I don't hear back shortly I'll have to return it.
Hopefully we can get this thing to sync. I'd like to keep using it, but we'll see.
Guess I am going to return it. I can't get more than 2 courses to sync/load on the device. I sent Support an email, and other than an "auto response" that they got the email I haven't heard a thing. Too bad, I really wanted this to work.
The mobile app (latest iPhone) is extremely slow and connects 50% of the time. An absolute shocker.
The device is slow and fiddly to get a GPS signal and find a course.
The battery life isn't the great. I'll get two rounds (just) out of a charge.
The charger is a weird clip thing that will be very difficult to replace. Why they didn't go for a USB plug, I will never know.
This thing will record your shots and do all what it says it will but the overall package is poor. I've contacted the support team but their responses have been wishy-washy.
I wouldn't bother with them again.

My particular course was included in the unit but my Wilson clubs were not recognised. A quick message to Shotscope support sorted that within 24 hours, very impressive service.
Overall I like the unit, particularly the detailed stats, which will develop and be more accurate over time. There is no facility to see an ‘overview’ of each hole in real time and is only visible once the data has been ‘synced’ to your phone at the end of the round. Although the putts are recorded, if you tag your putter for each putt, you still have to say how many putts you took at the ‘pin collect’ stage. If you forget the ‘pin tag’ and putts, and move on to the next hole, you cannot go back to the green you left to correct your error as the system will have already moved on to the next hole automatically. As a result although all your tagged shots are recorded your actual score is not recorded correctly and has to be edited later. The subsequent editing is a bit fiddly on your phone or tablet, but on a Windows PC or laptop it is much easier. To be fair the H4 is all about the stats and is not a ‘score keeper’. To that end I use another app on my phone and Apple Watch which does allow me to register the number of shots and putts, and also gives me a hole by hole ‘flyover’ but that doesn’t give the detailed stats that the H4 does.
My only other gripe is that it’s now only the 24th September and this unit is now on special offer an is £20 cheaper than what I paid! Just my luck.
Did not need it for distances as had a laser finder, but liked the distance tracking features and the putt stats.
From day1 did not seem to set up correctly and needed to delete old account to get working.
On the course took ages to get a GPS fix, and did not always pick up the club I was using. on the course.
Tried to get used to it but just too many problems with the data collection.
Distances when the gps worked were accurate, but had to clip and unclip off your trousers, to see the distances and for me just upset my rhythm when playing.
Probally a great product for some people, but I just did not get on with it.
