Rivers Wilde #3

The Jezebel

Rate this book
Stone Rivers is a sin I can’t commit.
After years of playing the trophy, puppet, perfectionist,
I’ve forgotten who I am.
Until the boy from my past walks back into my life.
Handsome as sin, charming beyond belief—Stone Rivers is temptation personified.
Our combustible chemistry shatters my resolve.
His blistering kisses remind me of everything I used to want.
But, our present is just as messy as our past,
And reckless as it may be, I can’t let him go.
My name is Regan Wilde.
I’m a mother, a sister, a daughter.
But Stone and I?
We’re a scandal in the making.

The Jezebel is the third book in Dylan Allen’s ‘Rivers Wilde’ series and as much as I loved the first two, this is my favorite. Regan and Stone have captured my heart and I couldn’t have loved this story more!
“I water you, you water me. Together, we’re going to grow.”

Regan Wilde and Stone Rivers meet when they’re both young. Stone was just a boy then, but he knew that Regan was something special. They connected in a way that wasn’t romantic, but was also more than just a friendship. It was on a different level. Years pass and life goes in different directions for them both. Regan now has children and was doing what she’s supposed to do for her family name. Stone is a doctor and making a difference in the world.

Stone and Regan meet again while on a vacation and they come together in a big way. It’s forbidden for Regan and the consequences could be dire, but she can’t stay away from Stone. After finally having Regan after all these years, Stone isn’t sure if he can let her go. But them being together is more complicated than they could ever imagine.

Stone Rivers might just be my favorite hero of the year and was so extraordinary. This man had so much patience, was sweet, kind, alpha, and just everything all at once. He loved Regan so thoroughly and deeply. It was an all consuming love and you could truly feel how much he loved her and cared. Stone was so devoted and truly magnificent.

And Regan… Regan is a heroine who has been through so much, but my goodness does that woman have a strength like no other deep inside of her. She has so much growth through this book and I adored her. She’s one of those women you want to be best friends with and that make you proud to be a woman. This couple complimented each other so well and made me feel like soulmates really do exist. I felt such a deep connection between them and it was well above and beyond just sexual chemistry. It was a soul deep attachment that couldn’t be denied.

What I love most about Dylan Allen’s books is that they’re filled with passion. Who doesn’t want a passionate romance that will completely captivate you? I crave those books that give me all the feels and make me feel like I’m falling in love all over again. The Jezebel is an incredible friends to lovers romance that I fell head over heels with. Highly recommend this one and I’m sure it will make my top favorites list this year!!
We are wanton, wild, wicked and so fucking happy.

Ahhhh!!! Stone and Regan are my soul couple. Hands down, my favourite couple so far in the series. Their chemistry was fire, warming deeply in my heart. Their love story, so electrifying. I fell deeply in love with Stone and Regan. Sometimes to read characters that really move your heart and Stone and Regan are the epitome of true love. Friends to lovers, Stone and Regan filled my heart with butterflies and made it flutter. Stone is my all time favourite hero. Sorry Hayes and Simon but you have to make space for Stone in my heart. Hahaha. He is supportive, wonderful, hot(BUS SCENE, EVERYONE. READ THAT), caring and loyal. Stone truly made me feel like a teenager crushing hard on her new crush. He made me giddy. Regan. Goddess. Queen. A survivor. A fighter. A woman who teaches you to be free. A woman who uplifted and inspired me. A woman who amazed me with her rebirth. Regan is strength and beauty combined.

"Adrenaline is my drug of choice. When I was ten, Regan Wilde gave me my first taste of it. I’ve been hooked ever since."

STONE & REGAN ARE EVERYTHING!!

"I’m Regan Naomi Wilde - daughter, sister, legacy."

The Jezebel is adventurous, intense, steamy, complex, exceptionally constructed and unforgettable!

"Everything I need to know about you, I learned in that bakery.”

Rivers Wilde is absolutely one of my favorite fictional destination to come back to and Regan Wilde's story is exciting, passionate, funny, angsty, filled with betrayal, and at times painful but she is so strong and 100% powerful.

“Lie to me, Regan. Lie to me while I’m fucking you and tell me that you are mine. "Always yours. Never ever a lie."

Something you know you're going to get with a Dylan Allen book, besides an amazingly textured book is OFF THE CHARTS sexy scenes and she does not disappoint! My God that sinful bus scene!? It's just the tip of the ice berg!

"To call what we’re doing something as simple as a kiss is akin to calling a pearl sand. At its core, that’s all it is, but pressure, passion and motherfucking fate collide and stars align and this simple, simple thing becomes extraordinary, beautiful , coveted."

Stone and Regan are already fire separately but together? They burn! Their sweeping romance is soul deep and gave me stomach dips, drops and swoon worthy butterflies, it's an old school love that sticks to your ribs.

Page turning and spell bounding, The Jezebel is your next addiction!

This. Is. The. Best. Of. This. Series. Period!
Dylan creates the ultimate kick Ass heroine who's strong & confidant in her life choices and paramour choices too. A story of a woman's growth from her repressed childhood to her coming into her own, making choices for her own personal happiness, is so satisfying and heartening to read, I wish this book could be made into a movie.
Regan is a woman with a predestined path, until she carves her own.
Sweeping from Houston to Mexico, Dylan has poured her heart out in this book and it shows.shes managed to step into Regan skin and soul with so much passion and love, the story just comes alive.
Stone is endearing and charming. His banter with "Captain Obvious" is witty & sarcastic.
Their connection just delves deep into the bottomless sea of emotions, I was just plain thrilled to read the book
Well done Dylan. Well done!👏

-We're all on a collision course with our destiny and everything we do, everyone we meet, shapes that journey and becomes part of it.

Regan Wilde is a gorgeous socialite who grew up in Houston, Texas in a wealthy family where business and reputation were everything. Buried under expectations she tries to please everyone and has often sacrificed her own happiness for others. For years it seems like a dark cloud follows her, and lately things are unraveling all around her. She’d long ago decided a happily ever after just wasn’t in the cards for her. Then life takes a path she’d never planned for when her past and present collide, and she crosses paths again with Stone Rivers.

The boy she never forgot is all man now and one touch shatters all her rules. He’s a temptation she should resist, because he can never be hers, but he makes her feel alive again. The pull between them makes her reckless and things quickly turn messy and complicated. Will Regan finally be loved the way she deserves, or will she let Stone go?

-She was something rare and special.

-The word beautiful is too tame a word to describe her.

-I can't believe I'm here. With the woman who made me wish I could bend time so that she could be mine.

-It feels like we've been leading up to this forever.

-"We didn't find each other again for no reason. This may be the wrong time. But we are the right people. And you've always been my favorite what if."

The Jezebel by Dylan Allen is the third standalone in the Rivers Wilde series. It’s an emotional, unforgettable friends to lovers, second chance romance about unbreakable, life changing connections, forbidden love, intoxicating pleasure, secrets, trust, vengeance, rivalries, betrayal, heartbreak, hope, survival, and possibilities. It’s a book packed with humor, drama, adventure and sizzling chemistry that deals with the sins of the father and a new generation of two families coming into power. It’s about righting wrongs, and that it’s never too late to chase your dreams. About holding on tight to the people that shape your heart and believe in you. If you can’t tell already, I absolutely adored this book, and fell in love with these characters. Regan is a complex, exquisitely beautiful, powerful, woman who is disciplined, committed, honest, confident, strong, compassionate, graceful, but most of all fierce. Stone is a protective, sensitive, sexy, thoughtful, devoted, determined alpha male, and oh my heart... this man was EVERYTHING!!! This book takes the reader on such a beautiful journey of love, friendship, and self discovery. The author doesn’t hold back, and it’s like she left everything she had on these pages, and put her entire heart and soul into this story! She makes you feel it all!!!

THE JEZEBEL by Dylan Allen is a romantic legend, an epic love story, an exploration of fate and choice and everything that lies between. My eyes are swollen from sobbing my heart out, and my voice is husky from all the belly laughs. I wasn't ready for this book. As always, I need to give you guys a content warning for the difficult topics I picked up on: human trafficking, rape, domestic violence, coercive control, infidelity, pregnancy, death.

In its simplest terms (and it's quite difficult to describe this book simply), this is the story of a teenage girl stifled by her relatives, who befriends a little boy from a rival, equally messy family. The boy decides he is in love with her; and her life is forever changed by one of his actions. Then they're separated for almost two decades.

Years later, our heroine is a survivor of human trafficking, coming to terms with the web of secrets around her family, mourning the death of a friend, trying to find her power while married to a man who sees her as a possession. By chance, she meets the boy who changed her life...

This story is a must-read if you quite literally want your heart wrenched out. It's for those of us who fall in love with heroines, because this one is a warrior/Jezebel/queen/all of the above. It's for those who adore noble, determined, adoring heroes. This story was a RIDE AND A HALF. It was also filled with achingly real family connections, both good and bad, that often hit way too close to home. Finally, it was hot as hell. Hotter than, possibly. Like. I was shook. The CHAMPAGNE - okay, let me be quiet.

Their love was written in the stars ✨

An emotionally powerful romance that will take you on a journey that will both enlighten you and make you fall in love. Regan is a strong heroine who will remind you that women can do anything. Take back your power. Love hard. Own your future. Speak the truth, even when it’s hard. She is one of my favorite heroine’s of all time. Sexy, beautiful, resilient and brave. She was also beautifully flawed and she owned it all!!!

She was Venus. He was Mars. Their love story was destined...it was only a matter of timing because their love was written in the stars.

Regan’s life hasn’t been her own for a long time. She made sacrifices to gain acceptance and all she ended up with was misery. Now it’s time to take her life back.

Stone never forgot the girl who saved him when he had nothing else. Now he’s all grown up and he’s ready to be the one doing the saving.

Their story spans decades. Wrought with heartache and pain, the path they share is not an easy one. She needs to find herself without losing everything she holds dear and he needs to fight for what he wants without losing his dream. It’s going to get messy.

INCREDIBLE! I was hooked from the prologue. The author evoked intense emotion with the characters she created. You will love some and hate others. I was living in Rivers Wilde with them on their tumultuous journey and I loved every single word.

I was completely enthralled by the author’s writing and the beautiful love story she created. So many profound words to highlight and savor. This unforgettable romance gave us angst, love, hate and a new beginning. The story touched on relevant current events and focused on strong women both past and present. She’ll make you think and make you feel everything. Her beautiful words just swept me away in this poignantly breathtaking, age gap romance that is a MUST READ!!!

The Jezebel is hands down the best book on the Rivers Wilde series to date and my favorite. This book blew my expectations out of the park, it was so good. This story was full of angst, passion, pain, desperation, love and family drama. Omgg it was like watching one of your favorite soap opera’s. I love coming back to the Rivers Wilde world. All the rivalry, money, power, secrets. All the feels and it had me hook all the way to the end.

The Jezebel bring us the story of Regan Wilde and Stone Rivers. Rivals by birth but soul mates at heart. The story is an age gap romance, older woman-young man. Very sexy right? It sure was. The passion between Stone and Regan was inflammable.

Regan is a regal woman with a big heart and deep pains. As a woman in the Wilde family she has to fulfill her duties but Regan has dreams to carve on her own. Dreams that were taken from her but a turn in her life will help her see the way to finally claim them back. Her inner fight, perseverance, love for her children and convictions made me feel proud of her. It was empowering seen her finally achieve her dreams.

Stone Rivers is A DREAM. This man, his heart, his words, I just want to devour him. He is a brilliant, successful doctor. He is kind, passionate and compassionate. He just made me swoon. The way he loves Regan since he was 10 years old was lovely and charming. Seen him become a man shy of 30 still wanting to bring down the moon and stars to Regan “sigh” was worthy of my devotion.

I love this book and all the feels I got from it. I love that Dylan made me love the character I been hating and thought was un-redeemable since The Legacy. Yeap ladies and gentlemen, Dylan made me LIKE TINA WILDE. I couldn’t believe she actually made this woman be human and good in my eyes. I love when I get all involve with the characters to the point of feeling like they are living breathing human beings. I either love them with all my heart or hate them for making my MC suffer one way or another. Also some of my favorite parts of this story included Tina. Telling you people this book blew me away.

I can’t wait to come back to Rivers Wilde. Definitely one of my favorite book destinations.

description

The Jezebel was a very multi-layered contemporary romance. The main characters Regan and Stone are very likable, and share a strong connection that I could really feel coming off the pages. I loved that instead of flashbacks we got to see it all happen in a linear storyline from the moment they met when Stone was just ten years old and Regan eighteen. Regan gave him a place where he could stay safe and be himself, and the friendship that developed was pretty wholesome. However, after an incident Stone, who has developed a crush on Regan, feels betrayed when he sees her with her 'boyfriend' and they don't see each other again for the next seventeen years.

These two are reunited in Mexico and they become intimate. However, Regan who even though has been living separately from her husband for the last five years is still legally married. What happens in Mexico, stays in Mexico is how Regan is feeling about the whole situation at first. However, Stone is already too invested and will do anything in his power to show Regan that they are meant to be together. Honestly, Regan did a good job in trying to control her feelings and make sure her 'perfect' world shown to the outside wouldn't collapse. She has her family and kids to think of, but the heart wants what it wants.

"It's his wonder, his compassion, his conviction, his tenderness. It's the way he wears his heart on his sleeve and the way he listens."

Stone was such a nice, possessive, and drool-worthy boyfriend. He is also very smart and very protective. Regan is a strong and loyal woman, who finally decided to take the step to live the life that she deserves to be living. These two were such a great match and I loved their interaction. It was very poetic and sweet, and it really brought a smile to my face. Stone's determination was very admirable, because Regan sometimes didn't make it easy for him. It was also nice to see what all the characters from the previous books in this series were up to. The relationship of the main characters with their siblings was very complex, but I enjoyed seeing them interacting with each other.

The Wilde and Rivers families are much more interconnected then they could ever imagine, so the added suspense/mystery layer was refreshing. I can't continue without mentioning that the sex scenes were super hot and steamy. I couldn't get enough of them, especially Stone was very eager and talented. Furthermore, the author did a good job in telling Stone and Regan's story and I was glad this book was a bit longer than a normal full-length novel, because it really needed all those extra pages to fully tell it.

This book has some things I usually don't like in my romance, but they were just so well executed it kind of worked for me. I usually don't like infidelity where a heroine falls for someone when she's still married, but the specifics of the setup in this book involving Regan's past, her abusive husband and fear for her children made me give it a pass. I'm also not usually a big fan of alpha heroes, but Stone I was into, especially because Regan pushes back. Also whew was this book spicy! If you're wanting plenty of good steamy scenes, you will definitely get them here. It was an emotional roller coaster and I was on the edge of my seat, but loved it.

Note that The Jezebel is a pretty intense book with lots of content warnings, so know what you're getting into. Pretty intense in terms of domestic violence, a history involving sexual assault, gaslighting, emotional abuse and manipulation, human trafficking, pregnancy and death.

If I could, it would be 10 stars!
All I want to say about this book is READ IT! First of all the cover had me melting. It’s gorgeous and fits the characters beautifully. I have read the first 2 books. I believe this book can be read as a standalone. But it would be so much better read in order. I couldn’t get enough of this couple. Stone was amazing. This read was exciting, compelling, captivating, ravenous and an awesome slow burn. This will be in my top five for this year and yes I know, it’s only January! Enjoy!!

My emotions are all over the place. This is what true love feels like. Complete acceptance and steadfast. My heart is just full because of Stone.

In this third installment of the Rivers Wilde saga, we are treated to the journey of two people finding their voice and also learning to trust in love after navigating life in a lonely bubble.
This wasn’t an easy love but it was fought for hard. I found Stone so easy to love because I recognized soul immediately since he wore his feelings on his sleeve the whole time. I didn’t connect with Regan for sometime but my understanding and admiration grew over time as she showed her inner fortitude. She wasn’t perfect but she was strong. I wanted to hug her because she needed a girlfriend in her adult life who would have her back.

Another thing I love about reading Dylan Allen’s work is that she manages to make you feel all kinds of things like sadness, joy, passion and at the same time, make you laugh. I always learn something new. I’m not much into astronomy but I found myself googling Mars and Venus. The way she wove the alignment of the planets into the love story emphasized just how deep this connection was with Stone and Regan.

The most important thing though was how Regan found and used her voice. I love stories where characters grow and evolve and both the main characters did that. They did it individually but their love was that healing balm to make them more complete and finally get them to a happy place.

If you want love stories with some passionate characters but with real complex family dynamics, then you have to read this book.

The Jezabel is an emotional and passionate story full of love, angst and secrets. Reagan is a badass heroine and Stone was so sweet and together they are everything.

Their romance is not easy, pain and anguish awaits them every step of the way but they are both warriors and they fight with everything they have for what they want. I swooned so hard.

It is is a roller coaster of emotions that seep deep into your soul, and I loved the family and the brothers. This intense and intense story will leave you speechless

Even after some days between reading this book and finally try to write this review, I'm not sure if I can find the right words for it. I really really wanted to love this book, ending up 'just' liking it. As I can't put exactly into words, why I'm not loving it like everyone else, I'd say it a classic case of 'It's me, not the book'.

I adored Stone, who acted way older than he was. That's to be true when he was young and absolutely when he was in his late twenties. Perfect boyfriend material.

Regan is definitely something else. I loved the way how she 'womened up' and owned her troubled past as well as her wishes and hopes for her future. How she gave into her desires and chased her dreams.

However, I had trouble connecting to them as a couple. I couldn't feel the chemistry which clearly is there.

And even though I absolutely enjoyed reading it, there where many things I got irritated by. I also was left with more question marks I wished for.
I guess that's why I can't give more than three stars. I also must say that if you loved the first two books in this series you should definitely read this third one.

Ahh!!! I love this book so much!!! Stone Rivers is a presence from the moment his fiery red head makes an appearance hiding in Regan's store with a busted lip... And don't get me started on Regan Wilde. Fiesty, fierce, sexy... She's an amazing heroine.

I've been on a forbidden love kick, and this hits all the feels. It's friends to lovers, reverse age gap, steamy scenes and angst... You're going to lurve it. I couldn't get enough of this story.

Don't miss this consuming romance--FIVE STARS!!!

Powerful, heartbreaking, uplifting, romantic, and so much more. There are some serious and timely issues (that are dealt with realistically and beautifully), but also so much love. It’s simply spectacular. I have several favorite quotes I highlighted, but as I don’t want to spoil anything, I’m just leaving you with this one:

“Being a woman can feel like a burden. But it’s not a burden. It’s a gift. It’s on our backs that every single man in existence has stood to reach adulthood. The burden comes when they expect us to be happy being stools.”

Also Eva. Eva is just a bunch of AWESOME!

This is a 10 star book all the way. I cannot recommend this book highly enough.

A love story years in the making . Soul mates which ever way you look at it. Stone and Regan's story consumed me, the journey they go on both seperately and together filled me with despair hope and love. Family loyalty is tested, friendships are destroyed.

Dylan has written such a strong female character in Regan I can't say why but you will sympathise cheer on and encourage her from the depths of your soul. Stone sweet determined loving sexy Stone. He is everything I never knew I wanted wrapped in a sinful package. The story is powerful, the issues dealt with realistically with characters you will fall in love with. The storytelling and writing are skill on another level.

My book of the month buy it you will not be disappointed.

Whew! Talk about soul-searching, lust and suspense! I loved this book so much. This is an age-gap where the woman is older than the man. They meet as children, and the foundation of their relationship is built upon their childhood alliance when they were 18 and 10. Their friendship ends as quickly as it began, just as a young Stone Rivers is about to profess his childhood love to Regan Wilde.

When they meet later in life, sparks fly in the best way. Stone is just shy of 30, successful, and still infatuated with Regan. I love how his lust for her screamed out with every page I read. I love the internal thoughts he had of her, his playful way that he challenged her, and the uninhibited way that he loved her. Stone Rivers is my new favorite book boyfriend for 2020!

Regan was living a shell of the life that she was destined to live. After a horrible experience when she was in college, along with a shady family situation, she's fallen into a loveless, exploitive marriage. Her heart, mind, and body are basically screaming for the escape and release that Stone promises her.

I don't think there was ever a doubt that these two were destined to be together. Stone and Regan brought the lust, passion, desire and unequivocal connection of soulmates.

I can't wait to read more about what happens next in this series. The background of the Rivers and Wilde family histories are forming into something exciting and suspenseful. Who's next in line? I'm ready for them!

One of Dylan’s best!

The Jezebel - One of Dylan’s best for me.

“My woman’s blood is tinged with mercury. Her spine is fortified by steel, her mind is wondrous, and her heart is a boundless bounty, and I love her without any condition.” Stone Rivers

Well we’ve had Hayes and Remi’s stories, and we were fed tidbits of information about the state of affairs with Regan! Now we get the up close and very personal full story, and what a hot mess that is!!

I couldn’t put this down, right from the off with the prologue we dive in deep to the heart of it.

Regan and Stones’ is story of Love and loss, of two people finding one another in a time of need and understanding, of making painful decision to protect, no matter what! This one goes deep.

The Wilde/River feud would never allow them to be friends, let alone more.....Secrets, lots of secrets!!

When your world is ripped from under you, what can you do?...fight back! and this is exactly what Regan and Stone are about to do.

This has everything, heartbreak, deceit, romance, angst, it’s steamy, humour, secrets and lies, keeping us on edge right until the end.

What a fantastic third book in the series. This was a full on family reunion and I loved every page.

This is definitely Dylan Allen’s most enthralling book yet. She most certainly nailed it!
Regan and Stone’s story will touch on every fiber of your soul. It’s a story that spans several years. From the beginning you feel the emotional connection between these two and know you are in for quite a ride. I don’t do spoilers but I will say there are several moments that hit me in my being, as well as other that hit me in other parts (fans self). When Stone and Regan are younger and he runs to her and wraps his arms around her waist my heart jumped into my throat. I could visualize it like I was there. There is also a bus scene and that’s all I’m going to say about that. You need to experience these adventures yourself.

There is a lot going on in this story so you need to pay attention. Both of these individuals have their own individual life experiences, as we all do, but they also have their story. Regan is a strong woman from the get go. She has her moments that seem like weakness but when you don’t have all the facts you rely on what you know as we all do. It’s a story of love beyond yourself. It’s a story of sacrifices and humanity. it’s also a story of secrets. You will learn history you may not have ever known before. It may spur you do do some investigating on your own. It’s quite fascinating and so true. Women in history have always been undervalued. When in reality we’ve influenced history much more than has been documented. We are the life bringers as well as the up bringers of so much in ife. However, this is a whole other conversation that needs to be had. One of my favorite parts of this book is seeing how Regan was raising Eva, her daughter. Eva is the daughter you hope your little girls (little women) turn out to be. You already know she is going to be a strong, independent, smart woman. She’s already all that and more in her formative years. Eva will be dynamic. I could see her book in the future!

I loved watching Regan but watching Stone’s evolution and his determination brought all kinds of emotions to the surface, from being protective to being all the man you could ever want. Yes, he could be an ass but he did it with purpose and good reason. I am quite the fan of his! He stole my heart and soul. Stone had vision and purpose. He is wise beyond his years.

There is so much I could write about, incidences I could relay and analogies on which I could elaborate but this is a review of my feelings for this book. I’ll say it brought all my feeling into play. The dialogue and banter alone will have you melting.

If you’ve read the other stories in this series you will be happy to know that you will once again be reacquainted with several of those characters. You will also get more clarity into their lives and how things pan out.

This is a story of endurance, smiles, tears, fear, joy, romance, heat, stars, history, teaching, learning, fate, destiny, intrigue, lies, deceit, pride, stubbornness, giving, hope and above all abiding love. Isn’t that what we’d all want abiding love of everything and everyone.

While I was reading I couldn’t get the song out of my head by Howie Day, Collide.

“Even the best fall down sometimes
Even the wrong words seem to rhyme
Out of the doubt that fills your mind
You finally find you and I collide”

Venus and Mars watch out for this beautiful collision!

The Jezebel is a book I have been eager to read after falling in love with the Rivers Wilde world. I read The Legacy and The Legend last year and was keen to read Regan's story.

Dylan created two very spirited and likeable characters for the focus of this book, crafting a beautiful second chance romance. Regan is a strong and determined woman, but events come into play at the age of 19 that set her life on a different course. From this point Regan becomes a shell of her former self, a kept woman of sorts putting her own desires and aspirations on the back burner to her husbands. Now she finds herself the wife of an overbearing adulterer, one she is trying to divorce when she finds herself on a trip to Mexico bumping into a blast from her past.

Stone is the Hero of the story somewhat of a free spirit, a doctor and academic. Stone's charm is hard to resist and is the perfect counterbalance to Regan. He brings out a freedom in her that is refreshing to see. He plays the dominant caregiver well and I fell head over heels for him, he knows what he wants and doesn't stop until he gets it.

I enjoyed the linear format Dylan used to tell Regan's story, time progress this way revealing pieces of the puzzle and how her relationship with Stone evolved over the years, rather than the go to flashback format. The chemistry between the two protagonists was beautifully written and they complimented each other well. The underlying story line for me got a little lost under the romance and lacked clarity in places. These are the things that I felt were rushed over towards the end of the book unfortunately, leaving them feeling a little ineffective in their impact. That didn't take away from the story between Stone and Regan though, I was very satisfied with how their romance played out. With the added element of updating us on the story lines of Hayes and Remi too, I was really pleased to have been taken back to Rivers Wilde.

This was an intensely emotional and angsty read that hits you in all the feels. The plot is perfectly paced and perfectly penned. The story consumed my heart and soul. I felt as if I was living the story along with these wonderful characters. It takes you on a wild ride filled with secrets, lies, heartbreak, passion, forbidden love, and jaw-dropping revelations. It has a powerful message.

Regan Wilde is one of the most powerful, brave, and strong women I have had the privilege of reading about. I admired her strength, resilience, compassion, and courage. She stood up for those who couldn't stand up for themselves. She was beautiful on the inside and out. Unfortunately, she is married to a two-timing jerk.

Stone Rivers is alpha, sexy, smart, and swoony. He has always known what he wants, and he wants Regan. He has never forgotten how she changed his life and helped him when he was 10 years old. He never forgot about her when he moved away. He just never thought he'd get a second chance to make her his. There's a problem though, Regan is married. And she is married to someone his family does business with. This isn't going to be as easy as he thought it would be. Will Stone finally be able to get his girl or will the obstacles be unsurmountable?

This was an all-consuming, captivating read that kept me on the edge of my seat. There were twists and turns I didn't see coming. The story is addicting and I loved it! I loved watching their relationship develop. It was not an easy road to love but their love story is beautiful. Their chemistry was combustible. That bus scene was OMG, Holy WOW hot! I couldn't get enough of Stone and Regan! This is a must-read!

“Being a woman can feel like a burden. But it’s not a burden. It’s a gift. It’s on our backs that every single man in existence has stood to reach adulthood. The burden comes when they expect us to be happy being stools.”

That was a wilde ride!

I loved Regan and Stone's unconventional romance. Meeting as kids when the heroine is 16 and the hero is only 10 was totally unexpected. While he's a moment in time for her (important as it may be), she's the foundation of his adolescence. Finding each other the way they do as adults is magical. But strong, selfless, fierce Regan has other priorities that prevent her from having a relationship with Stone, who'd give up anything to have her.

I went in totally blind, so I spent most of the book in the dark—which made for a very suspenseful read. I wasn't even sure who the hero was until a few chapters in. But the second I caught on, I was hooked. Stone is swoony perfection. The hot nerd who doesn't look the part. Romantic to a fault. He's met his match in Regan, and together they create an epic love story that spans decades.

The Jezebel is the third book in a series of interconnected standalones. I was able to jump right in without having read the first two books and not feel like I missed anything.

The Jezebel is the 3rd book in the Rivers Wilde series and i was hooked from beginning to end. I'm so in love with this series and this novel was just another excellent addition to the series. Dylan gave us superb characters with such a strong connection it could be felt through the pages of the novel. Stone and Reagan's story spanned decades and theirs was not a straight journey. This novel was emotional, romantic, engrossing and gripping and worth every moment spent reading it as you will be consumed with the characters and the storyline. Its a story about fighting for your dreams inspite of all obstacles. Filled with tension, drama, mystery, & suspense, super hott steamy scenes, and family and friendship you will be drawn into this amazing story and be totally invested in the characters. Worthy of a 5 star rating, this page turner was a fantastic read and I would highly recommend it to all lovers of contemporary romance..
