I felt like Lucy was such a relatable character in this book, she has some very unlucky streaks but they seem to lead to some life changing moments.

Lucy is a book lover that takes one outing to a hockey game and has her life changed in a flash! There are very possessive men that are tall, strapping and handsome that have some extra hidden kinks in their pockets. However there is also an amazing amoint of humor and some tough pasts that have helped shape how they interact with each other. Lucy builds her trust with these three amazing men and gains an amazing much needed friend along the way.

I loved watching Carter and Jason slowly realize how much the feel for Lucy while Steele watchs his dream unfold with his family. I cannot wait to see what happens after that jaw dropping ending and am dying to see what will happen with this family.

Be prepared for plenty of laughs, steamy scenes needing many cold showers and hearfelt moments that will have your heart swelling. This is a must read that will habe you turning the page until the very end!

** Cliffhanger Warning! ** I like this book. It's a contemporary, reverse harem romance. There's plenty of laugh out loud moments, steamy action, and just a little drama. You don't have to know hockey terminology, so it's easy to understand.

I enjoyed the fast-paced romance, the intriguing characters, and the found family aspect of this story. The guys - Jason, Steele, and Carter - are intriguing with their unique back stories. I'm hoping those will be explored more in the sequel.

Having said that, the female main character, Lucy, is full of contradictions and does some things that are out of character. There's a few times where she does the opposite of what I thought she was planning. (Flashing her tatas, jumping into bed, etc.)

There's also some choppy scenes that could have used better transitions, a barely there climax, an almost epilogue, and a serious need for a proofreader. Lots of grammatical errors!

I might read the next book in the series. If this hadn't been so funny, I would have stopped reading after the first chapter.

There was so much that could have been said. It was honestly rushed in every aspect. I was flabbergasted at the jump the last two chapters made.

I enjoyed this book. The characters are interesting. I felt the relationship developed too quickly but enjoyed what we got to see. Can’t wait to find out what happens next. A bit of a cliffhanger.

My gosh! I’ve never read this kind of trope, but it’s my new favorite. I wish the second book was already out, but I’ll just have to reread it next year before book 2 comes out.

So many amazing schmex scenes!!! Purr

I really wanted to like this and I think going into reading this my expectation was a sweet light hearted rh hockey romance. Maybe it was, but I had a hard time finishing after 65%. The beginning started out strong the fmc seems likeable. She’s dorky, clumsy, and bookish. She trips and knocks into one of the players and then bc she’s face level with his junk it becomes a joke. Fast forward not even a chapter later and the other hockey player is interested and has been for the 6 weeks he’s been “noticing her out and about”. There were so many eye roll worthy moments that I had to stop, the fast paced nature of the book was cringe and inconsistent. The immediate flip of the fmc being dorky, shy, bookish evolves by the minute into a sassy-ish, sex kitten. I was completely turned off on how quick she flipped. It was so inconsistent and so quick, that the character she was supposed to be portrayed as seemed like a joke. Her comment of “I don’t put out till the 11th date” but then the second date happens and she’s this sex fiend. She has a weird monologue that again, doesn’t fit. I really don’t understand the authors and alpha readers or whoever edited this but it just didn’t make sense. Who let these inconsistencies through? Then it’s all of a sudden “I love her” and “well here’s the thing I’m attracted to her too” after the one character ponders sentences prior about what makes her so special to gain the interest of his team mates. It’s just so eye roll inducing. I think the clincher was she’s so unsure of all of this (after all it seems/feels like it’s only days) and all of a sudden she gets swept away in the game and decides to flash her chest. I’m eye rolling as I write this. This chick is pegged as an introverted nerd and then all of a sudden she’s flashing her teats to the world? After she got done berating another fan for it? It doesn’t make sense, and then you go on here and all these reviews are 4+ stars. Did we read the same book? There’s a bit where her old “friend” isn’t a good enough friend bc she leaves her in the beginning to go to the bars but honestly, why would her friend want to be her friend when shes toting around a book and can’t seem to be bothered to be in the moment and enjoy the game, she even goes to say “I’ll have to find an excuse next time they ask” her friend makes the comment about potentially being a puck bunny and she’s all like shy and embarrassed by her “crass” friend… then surprise surprise she’s getting spicy with three members of the team. Then of course comes the slu* shaming from said friend and she’s all sad or whatever. Then there’s paparazzi everywhere, and then I had to be done with it. Maybe I’ll try picking it back up but at this point I’m irritated with myself. I could’ve taken a nice rest and I forewent it to read this inconsistent junk.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not so Hockey romance
Reviewed in Canada on June 23, 2023
The RH element is a bit fast but somewhat believable, but the hockey in this book is misrepresented. The author lacks the understanding of NHL schedules, league rankings, medical checkups the players go through and basic game elements such as typical game pace, penalties and playoffs structure.

4.0 out of 5 stars Gotta love a Hockey Reverse Harem

An escape from my usual genre but it was a nice change in pace. Lucy, Steele, Jason and Carter make a sweet harem. It's an easy and enjoyable read. Perfect to 'cleanse the pallette' after many dark RH's.

3.0 out of 5 stars nice short why choose

It’s short and one of those books I wish was a bit longer so the characters could have had a little more depth.
But that’s not to say I didn’t enjoy this story cause I definitely did.
The 3 guys are different but similar enough you can see why they are friend’s.
I also like that the characters family background as add to the normalcy of RH happening IRL

2.0 out of 5 stars An ok read

This book started off well and had some cute moments, I liked that the FMC Lucy was a little clumsy but it was endearing.
This is a why choose so the MMC’s Jason, Steele and Carter, they all play on the same hockey team and live together.
I was totally behind Lucy and Steele’s attraction and relationship building and that where it was good for me. It’s not that I didn’t believe there would be a relationship with the other MMC’s but everything was so rushed and so underdeveloped.
Some of the ‘drama’ was so forced, the issue with the friend and just just being ok with fame one minute and needing protection from it the next.
The insta love from all 3, her sudden anger that they should suggest they were all interested her but in the next breath she was all for it, all angst forgotten.

It just felt very weak, character development, writing, like it needed to be fast paced to keep interest as there’s no real plot but at the same time didn’t know how to write that well.
The last two chapters was just like trying to squeeze every possible HEA in at once. At one point I had to reread a page and go back because I was so confused as to how that plot had come about with absolutely zero mention before and it was just accepted like everyone knew.

And a POV from 4 people of one spicy scene was just a bit much, it could have done it without it having to be a chapter per person
