Pros:
- Extremely comfortable even for extended periods of use
- Highly accurate and (almost) too fast at the highest DPI settings, which I am sure is great for gaming.
- Good lift-off distance. You don't have to move the mouse very far vertically for the sensor to release.
- Excellent weight. I think this is the biggest "pro" for me, as I enjoy slightly heavier mice.
Cons:
- Synapse 3 means that programming your lighting effects can be a bit painful and they only execute when the computer is logged in. Not a deal-breaker when the lighting doesn't matter, but it might matter to an "RGB Gamer"
- I would like to see Razer add lighting to the programmable profiles that can be loaded to the mouse. That way, when I use the unit on a non-synapse machine, I can easily tell which profile I am in by the RGB lighting rather than having to flip the mouse over to check the profile LED on the bottom.
I did have issues in the beginning with the software, some games (Like Overwatch) didn't load because the software wasn't updated. After the update, it works perfectly. The software does glitch sometimes, and the custom RGB wont load because of it. It does get frustrating sometimes because the mouse wont work properly if the software doesn't start up first.
It's been a ride with an up and unfortunately a lot of downs, but I finally received a Razer Lancehead TE mouse with no issues!! The really good news is I bought it back in July of 2019 and it's the end of November 2020 and it's still working amazingly well with no issues at all. I've had a decent amount of gaming mice and by far this was the best one I've ever owned.
There were a total of three I tried before receiving one with no issues. The original one I bought as well as the first replacement had issues with the right axle on the mouse wheel and a squeaking noise. Backwards and forwards scrolling felt really rough and wasn't turning like it was supposed to. The package for these two had no issues so the issue for both of these were manufactures defects. The second replacement however came in a very damaged box. It looked like something really heavy fell on it and crushed it. Now a days the delivery man take a picture of the package and they send it to you, but back the first half of 2019 that wasn't the case. I would have taken a picture but I didn't have a camera available at the time. Even with the box crushed there was a chance the product wasn't damaged so I tested it out just to see if it might be okay. Unfortunately it was damaged as the housing case on the mouse was slightly loose and would feel it shift left and right in the palm of your hand. The ironic thing is this one didn't have mouse wheel issues!! With the housing being loose I sent it back and they refunded me the money since there's a limit to how many replacement you can have.
I was going to give up and just buy a different mouse but I figured I'd give it one more go and purchase it again and I'm so glad I did. As I mentioned above, it's been about a year and a half with no issues!
