Solid 1080p card

Short story

I used a RX 480 for 4 years. One of it's fans started to slow down and I am currently past the warranty (I still have the card as a temporary back up). I have nothing but BEAUTIFUL words to say about the RX 480 but unfortunately it also started to struggle in some newer tittles with frames on higher settings. I finally decided to upgrade and my first choice was the RX 5700 XT Pulse by Sapphire. Unfortunately it didn't work out because I strongly believe that either drivers are not up to par for it or I just got a bad card. In result I had had bad FPS on High-ISH settings. I returned the card.

My actual review
The RTX 2060 SUPER is awesome!!! DUDE, IT'S SILENT AF! Its a great 1080p gaming GPU with great frames. This is my first ever Nvidia GPU and I'm SO happy I chose EVGA. EVGA is top shelf guys and there IS a reason for it. The quality of the card feels good in the hands. Temps are really good, on idle it stays around 35 and while gaming the highest I've seen it go is 69 and that's when I play Red Dead 2. Also I don't know exactly what part of the card, if it's Nvidia or EVGA but DAMN when it comes to like rendering the textures on trees in Red Dead it's fast. RTX is a load of crap in my opinion, I'm never going to use it but the idea is nice for future gaming. I love that this card is super quiet even while gaming, I can obviously hear it while gaming but to me it's pretty quiet.

Overall I recommend EVGA in general and the 2060 SUPER. I've been told I should get the 2070 SUPER but I'm not dropping an extra 100$ for a few more frames while keeping anti aliasing, shadows and so on on high settings.

SHAME ON AMAZON - YAY FOR EVGA

THE GOOD: The card is fantastic. While the cost is high, it was worth every penny to me. I bought it to upgrade an older machine so that I can play Modern Warfare. Here is how powerful this card is: I'm running this card with an 8-year-old Processor, Motherboard and Ram (AMD FX8350, GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD3 AM3+ AMD 990FX, and Corsair Vengeance 16GB DDR3 1600) and getting superb performance on the highest settings - including Ray Tracing. This setup is averaging 145 FPS even under the heaviest load on max settings. This card has 2 fans that are very quiet and do a great job under even the heaviest load on max settings. Under load, the card runs relatively cool at 67 degrees Celsius (153 Fahrenheit) most GPU's run between 70 and 80, and 90 degrees Celsius (194 Fahrenheit) is the heat threshold. When not under load, the fans actually stay powered down.

THE BAD: NOTHING BAD ABOUT THE CARD.

THE UGLY: In all the years (and thousands of dollars I've spent) with Amazon, I've rarely seen a poor packaging job but that was NOT the case this time. MOST of the time, my packages, big and small, come in boxes. This $400+ fragile Video card came in a flimsy, thin, bubble envelope. It did NOT come in a box with padding or cushioning, and to make matters worse, it was shipped via the USPS, so it was shoved into my mailbox with my other mail. I am NOT happy about this and I will be filing a complaint with Amazon.

Final Thoughts: Fortunately, EVGA packages their products well and the card was not visibly damaged. Furthermore, I've been using EVGA cards and components for years because they are the highest quality, they perform extremely well, and they have USA Customer Support if anything ever goes wrong. This card is SUPERB. 5 stars for the card, 0 stars for Amazon's extremely poor choice of packaging.

Just completed my first computer build in over 10 years. The graphics card was one of the more difficult decisions. The Radeon line of cards seem to offer the best value in terms of price for performance, but I was concerned with all of the driver issues that seemed to be reflected in a lot of the reviews. Ultimately ended up going with nvidia since it seemed like a safer choice (didn't want to take too many risks since it's been a while since I've done a build and have quite a lot of money tied up in this) I was also more familiar with the nvidia software as they've typically been my choice. The installation of the optional power link was kind of intricate, but compared to everything else, not too complex. Just have to read the instructions and take your time. Performance so far has been outstanding, and in line with expectations based on all of the on-line media reviews and charts. Fan noise seems great to me even under heavy load. With my head set on, can't hear them at all. Even without, it wouldn't bother me at all and is barely perceptible (my tower does sit on the floor though, so not right next to my head). More than reasonable noise output. The performance and quality of this card is awesome. The only thing to really consider is the price. Is this the absolute best value in graphics cards? Probably not. But I am extremely happy with it. It gives you an awesome gaming experience, and (so far) no issues or problems whatsoever! That's worth something!

amazing card, i got this bad boy for 550$ canadian and i'm glad i purchased it when i did, i can run all of my games in my library at max settings with amazing fps, it doesn't run too hot and it isn't too noisy for me under stress. it did have coil whine for a bit when i ran some benchmarking tests but i never game for more than 3-4 hours per day. great card, pick it up, you won't be disappointed

Re2 remake is a solid 145 I got it locked there. Could run 150 to 250fps. But it stutters when I drop fps in certain areas. I preferred the stability
Witcher 3 wild Hunt runs about 120 to 145fps? I'll update this later.

He estado usando esta tarjeta (RTX 2060 SUPER SC ULTRA) por un mes y finalmente puedo escribir una reseña apropiada. Es una excelente tarjeta, muy estable y capaz de correr cualquier juego a 1080p y 1440p con todo en calidad muy alta/ultra. Además, viene equipado con 8gb de VRAM, 2gb más a comparación del 2060 los cuales alargaran la vida util de la tarjeta ya que los nuevos juegos cada vez requerirán de más VRAM y 6gb comienzan a ya no ser suficientes. Esta tarjeta en particular ya viene con un pequeño overclock de fábrica el cual lo hace rendir ya prácticamente igual que un RTX 2070, pero con la ventaja de consumir menos energía y tener menor precio. Yo actualmente la tengo conectada a una fuente de poder 80+ bronze de 550 watss y funciona perfecto ya que es el wattaje indicado para esta tarjeta el cual indica en sus especificaciones y requerimientos oficiales. Esta tarjeta rinde casi igual que un RX 5700 XT pero con la ventaja de que los codecs de Nvidia están mejor optimizados para rendir mejor en programas de producción y diseño como edición de video, 3D, streaming, etc,.

Sus temperaturas son muy buenas, nunca excediendo a más de 73 grados aún en clima caluroso y a pesar de tenerlo adentro de un gabinete micro-atx.

Su único punto negativo es que esta tarjeta en particular tiene el denominado "coil whine" el cual es un ligero ruido que producen los componentes de la tarjeta al intentar correr juegos gráficamente intensos, esto sin embargo no afecta ni deteriora en lo absoluto a la tarjeta, es algo normal el cual la mayoría de las tarjetas gráficas modernas poseen debido a la reacción de los componentes. Aún así el ruido es mínimo en mi caso y no es molesto, solo subo el volumen cuando voy a jugar y listo.

En resumen, si puedes encontrar esta tarjeta alrededor de los 8 mil, la recomiendo ampliamente por su rendimiento y temperaturas.

The card is quite a bit larger than the 970 but that was expected. I'm still using an i5 6600k with 32 g ram no need to upgrade just yet . Nice card !!
