First of I want to this this is a great little bundle! And it is cheaper at the time of this review than buying the Hero8 Black alone!

I did an unboxing of this bundle as well as two other accessories that I bought separate on my Youtube channel. Just search for "GoPro Hero 8 Black Unboxing (Amazon Bundle)" on Youtube or search for my channel, "Jollyroger Hobbies"

You get every thing that is pictured. I want to clarify one thing though, You get 3 total batteries with this bundle! The Two that are pictured and another one that is in the Hero8 box. That is 3 total GENUINE Hero 8 Black batteries and YES, they all three have the blue strip at the bottom.

The hero 8 is a wonderful little action camera. Now I am not new to cameras or videos as I am an amateur photographer. I am however new to Gopro's and this is my first. It is very easy to navigate and pick settings and the results are simply amazing! I think I will be putting away my DSLR for videos unless i will need a zoom lens.

I got an couple awesome timewarp videos from me driving my 18-wheeler. Wass so neat to see it. Things I could never do with a bulky DSLR. The stabilization on this camera is simply amazing and is a total game changer. There no need for a gimble!

The battery life on these cameras suck and from what I understand, that is nothing new. I guess there is a price to pay when you make a camera so small. One battery will last you about one hour unless you are using high performance settings, then you will get less battery life. It is a very good thing that there are 3 batteries in this bundle as you will need them. Do yourself a favor, get an external charger so you can charge the batteries out of the gopro.

The included media card reader worked fine for me on my Windows 10 system, though I do not need one as I have a built in one but I tested this nonetheless.

For anyone wanting to record awesome videos, fast action, super slow-mo or just want a rugged waterproof camera to play with, this is your gem! I highly recommend it!

Works Great for YouTube Videos

I bought the GoPro Hero 8 black to record videos for my YouTube channel. This Hero 8 Black is awesome after a few tweaks and buying a few accessories is one nice camera. The Features in the camera along with its smooth recording and good sound quality is what I needed. But I was going to buy either the media mod or the 3.5 mm input jack for an external mic.

I like menus. I have also connected it to my iPad for controlling the camera. The menus, the settings, and the sound set up on this camera make it very good for recording my YouTube videos. I was looking at more expensive mirrorless DSLR cameras but I'm on a budget and this camera fit my budget.

The Camera is Durable I did put on some 3rd party tempered glass protectors to keep it safe. And make it easier to clean the lens without scratching it. I'm using the camera with the included memory card and the batteries. But I did buy the dual battery charger and a few other accessories from GoPro including GoPro plus service.

As far as my setting for recording I'm using 1080P/60Fps Linear, Flat color profile, medium sharpness, high bit rate, stereo mic or external, hyper smooth setting is about the medium setting, white balance auto, ISO min 150, ISO max 1600, auto shutter. So far these work great for my YouTube videos.

This set was a perfect start for me and I added more to it after I bought it.

Lets face it in order to jump to a better quality video cam from go pro your looking at over the thousand mark. This little camera is not on a professional level but its not going to set you back thousands either yet the video quality is beyond good and far beter than any other camera in this price range. If go pro has a flaw I would say its their battery life. The need to make this device a little larger in order to make a bigger battery or just redesign the battery technology and size or modes because it is frustrating at times. other than awful battery life the camera is almost perfect.

Bundle is a no brainer if you are in the market

The Hero 8 is a great camera (upgraded from a Hero 2, so go figure), and has alot of built in features that work very well. GoPro app has been working just fine for myself so no complaints there. This bundle which I got for $359.00, is a steal if you are in the market. Batteries are close to $40/pair, the SD card is $15 and the included card reader didn't change my life but works very well and replaced the other I used to carry. Everything was as advertised, including GoPro brand batteries. Little homework will find you aftermarket batteries cheaper, but the Hero 8 currently requires brand name battery packs, as the aftermarket has a slow discharge rate and will not work with HyperSmooth setting. HyperSmooth 2.0 does work great and worth the jump from the 7 to a 8 model IMO. Battery life is decent and will last over an hour if everything isn't set to highest specs, but with this bundle including a total of (3) batteries you will be hard pressed to run them all dead unless maybe taking 3-4 hours worth of video. The 64GB card works fast, and using 2.7K resolution/60fps allows over an hour of video. Also recommend looking on amazon for GoPro compatible mounts & bases. Bought a big bag full of misc pieces for $8 on a lightning deal and now have about anything you would need (head mount, chest mount, rollbar clamps, etc...).
Definitely recommend this setup
