Hardware store and home store couldn’t help me find the right tool. A regular wrench was not fitting and neither was a regular socket. Well this is a water heater wrench, I used it for this plumbing purpose instead. The ones at the hardware store but only 5 inches and it wouldn’t clear the back of the vanity or the sink basin. Thank you! I’ll be letting the company know. Despite their awesome graphics, they are not helpful at all. They need to point out this tool. Professional deep sockets are very expensive in this wrench for the purpose. I never ended up finding a deep enough deep socket anyways. I used to run a Pfister Contempra wide set faucet— a modern style.

It was fine for the heating element. The thin walls allowed the tool to fit into a slight recess where the heating element is installed. The fit onto the element was slightly loose but worked. Same for the anode. However, I have a socket that fits the anode rod more precisely and used it instead. There’s no recess issue on the anode.

I used to get the heating element out of my Suburban water heater. It seemed like it was a little too small but when I gave it a few love taps with a mallet it fit snugly. Had to use a monkey wrench with a cheater bar to actual get the element loose. I put a lot of torque and was truly surprised that it didn't slip or break so I would recommend.
