This was my second attempt at a tablet since I had originally bought one of the garbage 180ish dollar tablets, (they are all the same, if its under 300$ and has 4 gigs of ram dont buy it). That product was garbage and wouldnt charge out of the box.
This product however is spectacular. I primarily use this for taking notes for class and watching videos on. I have a laptop but it is very heavy to carry around campus when I have to walk half a mile sometimes between classes. This is very light and portable with a design similar to most other tablets except for 2 things that I really like. 1 is the fingerprint sensor, apparently Huawei has the best finger scanners in the business and it shows, very fast and safe. The second feature is the 4 speakers which I will say are great, on the other side of the room and dont have a portable speaker, no problem, the sound is great and doesnt get rough when you turn it all the way up, it stays very clear and even has some solid base considering these are inside a tablet.
The software is easy to use and that's coming from an Iphone user so you know its easy. A HUGE plus is the inclusion of microsoft apps like word excel and powerpoint. I still havent signed in out of fear that they will make me pay for it somehow but you can edit, view and save documents locally on your device for free here which if you have microsoft products on your pc without a paid license you know its expensive,(around 70-100$) so thats a great value thats just thrown in here. Another bonus is the pen, pens are usually 100$ cause its easy to lock out third party products, this is included and free and the time of writing and it works great for light drawing,(nothing suuuuper detailed but for the average user its good) and hand written notes. On the topic of hand written notes there is an app called "nebo" which lets you convert hand written notes and math and convert it to text very easily which is honestly really great and I use it all the time when I dont feel like using my bluetooth keyboard. Battery life after 3 weeks of use is still excellent, lasts all day for 2 days if I use it a ton but It can easily last a week if you use this 2 hours a day for notes or typing. Games only run meh definitly not the focus here. This thing isnt a powerhouse but it boots fast and has great system management tools which let you clear caches and get the most out of your 3 gigs of ram and processing power, no complaints with 4 windows open and an external app or two.
Overall I dont thing anyone can compete with this in terms of value, biggest competitior is samsung but the newer ones that are in the same bracket as this are wayyy higher price and dont have as many good built in apps,(which you can delete btw, I know some people hate "bloatware").
Long story short I dont use my laptop anymore since its just so heavy and I dont need power on the go really, All I need is a good battery, strong internet and decent ram which this has. Highly recommended.
