4.7 4.7 out of 5 stars 435 ratings

Fifth in the Honor Series. In the chaotic aftermath of 9/11, Secret Service agent Cameron Roberts and her lover, first daughter Blair Powell, must contend with recriminations from within the government and danger from without as they struggle to uncover those who betrayed the nation and nearly claimed Blair’s life.

The hunt for those who betrayed the nation is a very personal quest for Secret Service agent Cameron Roberts because the traitors targeted her lover, first daughter Blair Powell, in a secret assassination attempt. Despite reprisals from within the Justice Department and criticism in the press, Cam is determined to bring those responsible to justice. Her search takes her deep into the shadow worlds of counter-intelligence where even a friend might be a foe. While Cam struggles to uncover the traitor’s trail, Blair wages her own war to prevent the woman she loves from becoming a scapegoat during the chaotic aftermath of 9/11. Not just honor, but their future together, is on the line as Blair and Cam join forces with their loyal friends to strike back at the terrorists.

I am pleasantly surprised by the twists, turns, political intrigue and drenched drama present in each book of this honor series... but that is the case: action-packed. in the midst of all of the action and strong character development, there is always love that prevails over secrets, pain (physical and emotional) and seemingly impossible odds. that is what makes these writings worth the read... in this one, we observe the budding love between Valerie & Diane; Paula & Renee and continued depth of Blair & Cam's love. we also get one step closer in capturing those responsible for the heinous terrorist acts from the prior book. never does the author dilute or reduce the sensuality, sexuality and physical (and emotional) intimacy between the characters, which makes her works unique. great read overall... feels like a front row seat in a movie theater.

Radclyffe has done a wonderful job in expanding and filling in details about the characters and situations in the story. Definitely need to read in order to get the full effect.

“Then Blair felt it coming, the powerful surge of tenderness and want and need that coalesced in her heart and body to become love and something far greater than she could define with words or contain with mere flesh.”

“She would die for his daughter, not out of duty, but out of love.”

An intriguing series continues with another good, entertaining story with interesting characters & hot sex scenes extremely well written… What's gonna come next?

Another in the excellent series about the President's daughter and the agents who guard her - this time in the aftermath of 9/11 and the chaos that followed. There is another attempt on the President's daughter and Cameron takes it personally.

Whether you read Radclyffe's series books or one of her stand-alone romances, you can not go wrong.

I have been reading lesbian fiction for many years, and can honestly say that I have never come across a writer that has so affected me. Her characters are strong, intelligent, and romantic. Naysayers will say that Radclyffe's characters are too perfect almost never flawed - either in looks or character. That may be true, but aren't you tired of the genre's penchant for ordinary? Radclyffe's characters are always enchanting, intoxicating, enticing, and intense. The stories, particularly in the series books, are all first class. And in two of the books, I actually turned to the last page to make sure that the main characters survived - something I never do.

Radclyffe let us believe, at least for the duration of each of her books, that the grand passion, the true love, the happy-ever-after are all possible. She lets us believe that being a strong, intelligent woman does not mean that we will be alone and/or isolated.

The only caveat I have is to read the series books in order. And if you enjoy watching a writer grow, then read the non-series books in the order they were written and watch Radclyffe's talent grow before your very eyes.

Cam & Blair try to control the daily flow of their lives but there's too much fallout from 9/11 to allow that!!

Radclyffe always gets 5 stars from me. Her writing is excellent, her characters hold from novel to novel, the plot holds true and doesn't waiver.

It was very nerve chilling to step back in time to 9/11. Could this have really happened? Blair and Cameron count on their friends and team to save their lives.

THe havoc of the day and the days after were relived thru the characters of this novel.

I love all of Radclyffe's book. One of the special parts of Radclyffe's writing is when she intermingles characters from one novel series with another. I also, enjoy the subplots.

This book is a great read and addition to the Honor Series. I fell in love with the two main character's and there inner conflicts not to mention the other character's and their issues. For me The Honor Series has been like a soap opera I couldn't stop watching. I wish there were more books to the series, not to mention spin offs on a couple of the other character's. Blair is one of my all time favorite character's. I love the author Radclyffe / LL Raand - she keeps me very entertained.

This series is so good! Well written, full of twists and turns, and great characters. You do need to read them in order. But when you buy the first book you might as well by the rest of the books too 'cause you'll want to read them straight through.

5.0 out of 5 stars Secret service around 9/11

This is how post 9/11 might have looked like if Blair had been the daughter of the president. Her secret service team also have their own problems to solve. Meanwhile her lover is tasked in finding out who tried to have Blair killed.

Another of Radclyffe’s excellent Honor series, where the girls personal lives are as busy s the plot. The author also continues the stories of two other involved couples and the final climax is satisfying too.

All books in this series are an engaging read. Eroticism within a compelling plot kept me coming back for more .... Manoeuvring the storyline around the ensemble of protagonists is no mean feat.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wow
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on November 8, 2016
This book is tamer than number four, but still very very could. It's also very realistic. Kinda scary too. They say normal people can't understand the minds of terrorists, maybe because we don't plan to kill innocent people for nothing more than an idea. Radclyffe portrays this point exceptionally well. She is truly an amazing and talented author. She seems to be able to undertake delicate and sensitive issues a d present them to you with sound arguments, even though you know these people are fanatics who appear to be insane. Excellent book, excellent reading. You won't be disappointed but you couldn't read this as a stand-alone novel, too many references to previous books in the series. Enjoy!
