You really need one of these!!

1) Ok, it's been 40 years since my high school concert/symphonic band in which I for years was first row second chair,

2) Been doing synths all that time, never revisiting this for (3)

3) I have full dentures now and mouth control and reeds didn't seem like a good match,

4) Bluetooth as well, so I'm jamming playing Waldorf nave expressively,

5) It's a lot of fun, recorder finger mapping, and has brought me mentally back to first row, maybe first seat this time.

I use this to practice while my 2 year old is taking his nap I wouldn't use it as a sole instrument but it's good to use as something a little quieter to stay in practice.

So Much Fun

This is not a toy, but it is so much fun to play with! Using the song tutorial gets you up to speed on the basics in no time. The more complex arrangements are still out of my skill set, however simple is all you need to lay down a nice groove or solo. As this is the base model, most of the tones sound similar. I kick it up by playing through voice effects and ditto voice. I call it the game changer. Easy way to add an extra layer for solo or duo performances. It took a while to get used to the power switches, I thought I'd broke it several times. Overall, few headaches and so much fun!

Great fun

This thing makes me smile. I can sit on the couch and play, it has an app to learn fingering and notes on my phone, and it it’s a pretty useful midi controller for synths. I’ve been using it with a boss re20 space echo pedal and the built in sounds go into a mix nicely. If you want something other than the built ins you can use usb to drive another synth with MIDI.

It’s pretty solidly built, the iPhone app has an extra 50 sounds, using the app with Bluetooth the latency is higher but since I’m not a sax or clarinet player it’s ok for learning. The app has a bunch of songs and
a learning app which I like. With the iPhone you could use the iPhone camera kit for usb connection which would lower the latency.

I’m loving this thing, it’s a happy instrument!

More question than review

Looks awesome. But, the hardest thing about woodwinds I've experienced is embrochure. I would think this thing would be more forgiving. Is that the case?
