Publisher's summary

Wedding bells are the last thing on 22-two year old Riley Bishop’s mind, but that’s exactly what he hears after waking up in Vegas next to a woman he just met - his new wife.

He never saw her coming, but she might be worth the risk.

Zoey Mitchell is high on life, free-spirited, and adventurous. However, learning she married a rowdy cowboy after a night of partying is not what she expected - even for her.

She’s risking it all, gambling with her heart.

Deciding to give their instant marriage a chance, Zoey moves from her big city life to a small-town Texas ranch. She has to know if their connection is based on more than just a wild one-night stand before announcing to her family that she got hitched.

One moment changes everything - for better or worse - and a secret could destroy them both.

This is a full-length stand-alone novel in the Circle B Ranch series and a spin-off from the Bishop Brothers series. You don’t need to have listened to any of the other books beforehand to enjoy this one!

Hello Cowboys.....

I finally got around to listening/reading the first book in the Circle B Ranch Series and it was one that had me recalling some of Las Vegas adventures and the shenanigans you experience in sin city. This series starts of with Riley Bishop and Zoey Mitchell's story. A trip to Vegas and an drunken fun night lead to an accidental marriage thanks to the infamous Bishop antics that ensues.

This listen/read is full of fun and surprises. Oh and be still my heart when it was revealed that they were willing to give their unexpected marriage a chance. That moment when they see each other again had my heart swooning for more. The challenge is whether two people who live two different lifestyles and class will be able to make it work living life on the ranch. Will it be enough for one to uproot their life into country living? Their chemistry is undeniably hot and intense; however, will it be enough?

The narrations by Lia Langola and Stephen Dexter was a good combination when representing Riley and Zoey. They kept you constantly intrigued by their story and wanting more. This was a such a sweet and fun filled start into the series. Hello Cowboys...looking forward to more of your stories!

Cowboys and romance, yes please!

I never adventured in the Cowboy romance genre until Kennedy Fox. I kept seeing a blurb for “Taming Him” on Facebook. So I took a chance and downloaded it. Well, get a lasso and wrangle me in, I was hooked. The four books were about the Bishop Brothers. All rugged, alpha and hot. You can read that series without reading about the brothers but I don’t recommend it. The brothers are great!

Years later, not in real time but in book time, enter the Circle B Ranch series. The series is based about the children of the Bishop Brothers.

“Hitching the Cowboy” involves Riley, Alex and River’s son.

What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas. Right? Unless you get married on a dare from your BFF after clubbing and drinking. Alex meets Zoey on a night out in Vegas and they are electric. Kennedy Fox has a knack for writing super hot couples.

Zoey originally serves Riley annulment papers but decides on what to see if they can make it work. Their chemistry is undeniable. I love how much Riley is like his dad. A true Southern gentleman cowboy. Zoey is a free spirit who can tame this cowboy for sure.

I was given a code by Kennedy Fox for my honest review on the story and the audiobook version. I’ve listen to Lia Langola before and loved her. Stephan Dexter was a new narrator for me. That gruff, southern voice? Perfect cowboy voice. I might need to visit Texas to see if they sound like that. I love that we have more installments of this series coming up.

Riley Bishop is all grown up!

The dynamic duo that makes up Kennedy Fox took The Bishop Brothers series and aged it up into The Circle B Ranch.
A new generation of the Bishop family is all grown up. Riley Bishop is the son of Alex and River Bishop.
Riley meets Zoey Mitchell on a whirlwind trip to Las Vegas.
Unlike the cliche, what happens in Vegas does NOT stay in Vegas, because the rings Riley and Zoey wear when they wake up, combined with the very legally binding marriage license means this relationship will not be over when the plane lands.
Zoey is on the cusp of being locked into a relationship with the man of her parents’ dreams and wonders if the fireworks she felt with Riley are real.
All of that said, any fan of the Bishops knows how wonderful, welcoming, and protective the Bishop family can be.
I loved watching the relationship bloom between Zoey and Riley, as well as catching up with the rest of the Bishop family. The rustic feel of the ranch is a far cry from the world Zoey is used to.
While this book is low on the angst scale, drama ensues as Zoey is still expected to be the good girl her family wants her to be and she ends up caught between the two worlds.

I adore a cowboy romance, and as a fan of the original Bishop Brothers books, Hitching the Cowboy does not disappoint. I am looking forward to the rest of the series.

Stephen Dexter and Lia Longola, both of who are fairly new to me did an excellent job in the narration.

Full disclosure- I was provided with a code for the audio of this book and give only my honest review.

Loved the narrators

I love a good married in vegas story. Like I live for them.

I know this is titled as an accidental marriage but this was like accidentally on purpose so idk if that really counts.

Either way, we have a sweet cinnamon roll of a character in Riley and a fun and free-spirited heroine in Zoey.

Hitching the Cowboy was just a fun and easy read. Well I mean there was this one part that wasn't so fun and easy but when Riley and Zoey were together like everything was right with the world you know.

I actually listened to the audiobook of this and loved loved loved the narrators. They really brought the characters to life.

Cowboy and the city girl.

If you like a cowboy romance with a touch of Vegas wedding and instalove then this is the one for you. I love the entire Bishop family including Riley’s best friend Diesel who is by far the best character in this book. Nice sweet romance with very little drama.

Such a great listen

I really love a good what happens in Vegas doesn’t really stay in Vegas romance and this did not disappoint. From the moment Riley sets eyes on Zoey he feels a connection with her. After a drunken night they wake up married and both heading back home that morning. He can’t get her out of his mind and when she shows up at the family ranch, they are both ready to give this marriage a real try. I loved Riley so much such a good guy and family man. Zoey was great as well and wasn’t sure where her life should be going and was willing to see if her connection with Riley was the forever kind. The narrators were great as well. I have never listen to either before and they were great. I could listen to Stephen dexter all day.

Fantastic story!! Loved the characters!

I absolutely adored this story! It was a fantastic story! I loved Riley and Zoey! They were great characters and I loved their interactions with each other. The antics in Vegas were awesome! I loved Riley and Diesel's friendship and interactions! (I am now dying for Diesel's story!) Riley and Zoey have an instant connection and a crazy story as they end up dared to get married and rushed apart the morning after. Both feel like there is something there but are not sure if that was truly the case. Zoey doesn't know if it's something that could last or not and she is being pushed by her parents into a completely different direction, one she really doesn't want. Zoey doesn't want to continue being a disappoint to her family but what they are forcing her towards is so far from what she is looking for. When comes and meets the Bishops she ends up in a totally new world. The Bishops are loud and crazy but they all love one another and fully support each other other. I loved how things developed between Riley and Zoey and how Riley was willing to fight to figure it out and build the relationship but he wasn't going to push Zoey into something she truly didn't want. This story pulled me in from beginning to end. It had me laughing and not wanting to put it down! I loved getting to see the older generation on the ranch but getting to meet the new generation was awesome! I am so glad that we are getting this second generation series!
The narrators did a fantastic job with this one as well! They brought the characters to life for me and I loved the subtle accents that just fit these characters. It really added to the story!

Awesome Audio Book

I read Hitching The Cowboy awhile ago so it was cool coming back to it so much later. I love this family so much and now the second generation of Bishop kids have got me so excited. Riley is definitely a chip of the old block. I love how there are so many similarities to Alex and River and Riley and Zoey’s story.

Stephen Dexter was amazing as Riley and he is definitely going on my top narrator list! Lia Langola was great as Zoe as well.

This audio book definitely made chores like laundry, dishes, and putting groceries away far more enjoyable!

Now I have to go read the Bishop Bros. Series

So I’ve come to know and love the author duo behind the Kennedy Fox name throughout a bunch of duology books like the Roommate Duet series beginning with the Hunter & Lennon story which began in Baby Mine. I’ve followed along with this series and haven’t really had the chance to delve back into older books up till now. When Wildfire Marketing group offered to provide the audiobooks for review as they came out, I decided to sign up for this one. Now I need to read all of them, AND go back and read the Bishop Brothers series to see where it all got started!

Of course we’ve got the sudden Vegas wedding at the beginning of this one, with Riley having to leave the next morning after with no extra time, and then we get a sudden letter of annulment sent to him with no explanation. So lots of stuff happening suddenly. Shortly thereafter, Zoey shows up and tells him she wants to see if there is anything actually there between them before she files the papers. So they do. And as you’d expect, things are great, it’s a perfect romance, kind of out of order, but still it all works out.

Until the big surprise plot twist, that I didn’t see coming, even if I felt her sending the annulment papers with no warning was a shock at the time. Now, with the duets I’ve read by these authors, normally that big plot twist would be the end of book 1 and I’d know a whole second book was coming along with more twists and turns and emotions. However, this happened at almost the 80% mark in the story, so I knew we were going to get all of this taken care of before the book was over.

And I liked the way it ended, it was perfect, we got a great epilogue, and now I’m also very excited to read on, or maybe listen on in this series. The narrators did a good job. I actually got nostalgic for my first college boyfriend when listening to this. He was a cowboy. I’m not really into that anymore, even as much as I enjoyed the story. But I decided maybe I just need a new cowboy love interested to get rid of those bad feelings and memories.

Beautiful

Ladies AMAZING!!!! Riley and Zoey’s story was just perfect!🙌🏻 When these two meet in Vegas sparks fly! Zoey always down for adventures is all in when Riley’s BF proposes a Vegas wedding as a bet. Waking up hitched but needing to get back to the ranch Riley leaves Zoey with the hopes that she will call him. What happens next solidified that what he felt obviously wasn’t mutual or so he thought. Seeing his blushing Vegas bride at the BB just might mean there is a chance. Take this ride with Riley & Zoey I promise you will love it. It will give you all the feels and have you begging for more. The narrator’s really brought this story to life! I love dual narration it makes the story so much more.
