Accurate and easy to use.
5 Stars
Accurate and easy to use.
Last night was my first using the ring. So I cannot speak to long term use. However this ring already paid for itself. If you hace ever had the at home o2 test your Dr gives you, this is much better. Last week I had the Dr send me home with a or watch and finger clip. He said I spent all together, 1 hour each night below 88 on my O2 which is alarming. Mostly because I only sleep 5 hours. So that was 1/5th of my time under 88. With 2 L of oxygen! So he was going to charge me for another 2 nights after I turned my oxygen up. So this test result you see, is with me receiving 3L of oxygen. The software is the only problem. I had read the reviews so I had a heads up. It's not super easy to set up. When your smart phone goes to sleep, the reporting will stop. So you need to get into the developer menu in a Android phone anyway... and set it to always stay on while charging. Then charge your phone while you sleep with it next to your bed. I am ok with messing around with my Samsung phone so it was not hard for me. I turned the screen brightness down really low. Turned the ringer off.I do not remember the ring vibrating and waking me up. I set the alerts on the app to wake me up if I go lower than 86 o2. Otherwise I was worried it would keep me up all night. As for accuracy, while I was awake I tested it against my clip on o2 sensor, and they were the same within 1 point. You need to open the app and connect the ring to your app not your phone. But you can't have the ring on while it connects...The app is easy to use but you have to take the ring off and let the night after midnight download then read your report. At first I thought I only had a couple minutes of reports.Secondly you have to figure out how to set your smart phone to "stay awake only while charging" then plug your phone in. I did that by getting into the developer menu. Then you have to open the app before you go to sleep and leave it open.. And set my screen brightness to almost as dark as it would go.If it could have storage in the ring, then we could download the data in the morning and not have to make sure our app is open all night. Now it might do that.. and I was just understanding it wrong..I will update this review if it does. Which I am going to check out today.
