All I can say is I should’ve bought these earlier. The previous clippers I had were rated professional but were in no comparison to the quality, speed, functionality, and durability of these. I use these for personal use on my Aussie doodle, who has wavy thick hair. I asked a groomer and she recommended these along with another brand that was 4x the cost. Those weren’t in my budget but these work so well that I have no regrets. I would go over the same spots and unstick hair from the plastic attachment combs every few swipes taking me over an hour to simply cut the hair evenly. I bet it took me 25 minutes to do the same job and I could leave it long for Midwest harsh winters. I added a picture of the combs as these were a great pairing. I am unsure if I had gotten plastic ones if I would’ve been as happy with the results. So for $150 I have clippers and attachments that work very well and save me a tremendous amount of time. How much does it cost to groom your pet? This is priced but you won’t buy 3, as I have done in 2 years, if you just grab these the first time and swallow the slightly higher price tag. Also, I spoke with a friend who works in a vet office and the blade can be sharpened if you don’t want to replace it when it gets dull, which saves about $30 in replacement blade cost. She even used these on her horse. Highly recommend grabbing these trimmers and the metal attachment blades for personal use!
Slight negative: As others stated, they do get warm. I found I was done cutting as it got to this point. I would think a pause for the motor to cool would take care of it if you are cutting multiple animals.

Cuts through my dog's hair like butter!
We decided to invest in this high quality trimmer rather then pay for grooming for all three of our dogs, to save money. These are awesome, it comes with oil that I put on before we start grooming. I'm really slow because I'm new at grooming our pups, so I did have to take breaks when the blade would start to get warm, but it took like an hour before it got warm. The cord is super Long, which I didn't even consider when we bought this, but it would be so hard with a short or even normal sized cord, so it's a huge huge plus! I highly recommend these trimmers.

I’m new to grooming and it is worth having some nice sheers!!! Makes it soooo much easier. I already had two pairs of cheaper sheers however my baby boys Persian hair is crazy thick so I needed something more heavy duty. These sheers got the job done. The cord is a little inconvenient compared to cordless sheers but that means it won’t die in the middle of a long shave session. I have two other Persians and the cheaper sheers work on them just fine. But they couldn’t touch his thick coat. I also needed this to be really close to his skin because he has a minor skin infection. I used the #10 which came already attached to this sheer. The vet told me to shave him down before using his medicated shampoo. (This was a bacterial infection, if your pet has a fungal infection, do NOT shave them). I shave against the grain of his hair and it gives it a nice even close shave. And a plus! I haven’t knicked him with these yet. NOTE! If you’re doing a lengthy shave keep in mind that the blade is going to become really hot after some time. Towards the end he didn’t want the sheers touching his tummy because it was too hot. I also like that it has two different speeds. for the areas that his fur is super thick switching to the higher speed makes a big difference and makes it easier. I’m a newbie at this but already getting better at it. Thank goodness for these sheers!
