Hard to Please (Eva & Nadia Book 2) Kindle Edition

4.6 4.6 out of 5 stars 338 ratings

What do you do when the love of your life asks you to marry her? Run, of course!

Precious pearls and diamond rings may command Eva Warren’s life, but the jewel of her heart is long-term girlfriend Nadia Gaines. With red hair as captivating as the fires of the sun and curves that entrance Eva for days, it’s no wonder that the most sought-after lesbian heiress in New England has found the woman of her dreams.

Yet not everyone is happy for Eva. Such as her mother, the monstrous Isabella Warren. If this woman has one goal in her life, it’s to harangue her daughter for not only her “licentious” lifestyle, but her inability to be the object of Isabella’s ladder-climbing ways. What good is a daughter, after all, who refuses to date men, let alone marry them and beget their children? (Especially if there’s a very discerning rich man willing to take her!)

Eva’s life is turned upside-down when her mother delivers an ultimatum: dump Nadia and go out with a man selected for her, or forfeit her entire inheritance.

One of the country’s most experienced alpha lesbians doesn’t simply roll over for her mother. When Eva discovers a loophole in her parents’ will that can forever ensure her inheritance, she knows she has to take it.

That means marrying Nadia. Now.

But before Nadia will consent to marriage, she needs to know that Eva is truly the love of her life. Can they weather the storm of Eva’s business crumbling beneath her? Can Nadia look her future mother-in-law in the eye and reclaim her pride? Can Nadia be assured that Eva won’t get bored of her vanilla ways the moment their relationship is official?

They have three months to sort it out and say “I Do.” With any luck, they’ll survive. Otherwise, it may mean saying goodbye to the only love that’s ever mattered.

I was excited when I heard that Eva and Nadia's story wasn't over as these two are my favorite couple written by the authors. I had high expectations and I wasn't disappointed.
We get to see a lot of growth in book two. Both individually as well as within their relationship. I was most excited to see Nadia's growth within their relationship. It allowed for the authors to answer some questions that had plagued my mind since book one. Nadia comes to the realization that she must admit a few things in order to move forward with her relationship with Eva.
Eva is faced with a lot in book two and it forces her to open up completely and allow others to take the reins for a change. She also realized that it's time to voice some things that she's held on to for far too long.
The individual personal growth is the catalyst for an even deeper connection between the two. It is pure bliss to see the journey play out in and out of the bedroom. As usual we are blessed with some deliciously descriptive sex scenes from these two. I absolutely loved it. I will be rereading this in the future. I definitely recommend. Happy reading!

The characters have come so far in this book. Eva & Nadia, will one of them break it off? Will one of them cheat? Will Eva's mother, Isabella get her way? Will Isabella keep Eva from her rightful inheritance? More than a few twists and turns. The bachelorette parties...WOW! Please tell me there is a 3rd book in the series! So much more to learn about Eva and Nadia, and Eva's terrible mom, and all of the newer characters introduced. I definitely recommend the Ava & Nadia series. For those wondering...still lots of steam, and light BDSM.

Completely happy with this sequel! I love Eva and Nadia and was glad to read how their relationship matured. Both ladies had to open up and admit to some of their hang ups. I especially liked both bachelorette parties and the key party. I just don't want to tell them goodbye yet and would love to see how married life works out for them. One thing for sure is that this author knows how to keep her readers coming back for more! Thank you, Hildred, for this continuation of the Eva/Nadia saga. I loved it!!

I enjoyed the book because it gave more depth to Eva and Nadia’s characters. Yes it is about their getting to say I do, no mystery there, but it fleshes out their characters and why it took so long to get there. Plus more to dislike about Eva’s mother.

📍 “The thought that someone could love you more than I do both breaks my heart and my brain. It can’t be possible. You’re my favorite person in the whole world. I need you. Please, say that you need me.”

Graced with revisiting our favorite billionarie couples, will Eva & Nadia finally be able to have their happily ever after or will their pasts, their differences, their insecurities, their drama & (mainly!) Isabelle Warren deny them their peace & joy.

I like how you think that Nadia is going to break it off. How she is feeling. Eva trying to prove that she can manage the family business and keeping her mother away but one a head of her. You can feel the love between the two women. The best part is how you brought everyone of your characters together for the this book. Just a look on how your other characters are living.

Excellent way to cap this story. The "billionaire" romantic partner thing was really well done, again, and the contrast in the two romantic partners played very well. A little bit of kink and healthy dose of spicy stuff made it a fun read, but the central relationship was well done again. While it wasn't really in doubt, little threats of blowing up the relationship added some necessary drama to keep it fresh. Well done.

I have read several books about Eve Warren and her group of friends and family. I have loved all of them but I have to say, this was my favorite. You got to learn the in depth reasons why she is the way she is. Wonderful book!!

It was beautiful watching them grow as individuals and as a couple. They both had moments of insecurity and vulnerability but the love and trust between them is so strong and unconditional that they know there is only one person in the world for them - each other.

Sehr, sehr, seeeeehr gut geschrieben.
Sehr empfehlenswert!!!
