But in a really good way. Right away, I was impressed by the banter between the two MCs. The conversation was entertaining, and really well written. The way the author alternated perspectives in the first scene was a nice touch. Sure, it's been done  before, but here it felt less gimmicky, and  more like I was listening to two people telling a story.

And the story! I can't stress this enough. Way too many authors rely on poor communication, contrived misunderstandings, bad advice, and inexplicably bad decisions to advance the plot. Buy this story was believable, and maybe more importantly, relatable. No contrivance here. The MCs didn't suddenly act out of character or act on some shockingly bad advice. Everything that happened felt and sounded like something that could happen in real life. Even the internal debates and dialog (they called it overthinking; I usually call it handwringing) was believable.
I read maybe 2 books a week, but the really good ones stand out. This book felt like i was observing real people with real hopes, dreams, worries, doubts, who share a once in a lifetime experience that I bet a lot of people wish could happen to them.

Seriously, Ms. Rivera has now been added to my list of authors that simply need to be read. Especially if your beliefs about romance and finding that perfect person need to be re-charged.

I simply do not want to give away too much information about the plot, other than to say that it is one of the most beautiful love stories about an age gap romance that begins with a 365 to 1 chance against success, and has you rooting for the two main characters from the very beginning.
One other plus: there is a lot of intense heat in this novel. Most of it is delivered, gift wrapped, in so many sensual, and love confirming ways that one can only pray that a fragment of it could be present in every reader’s life.

Now I will search out another novel by Ms. Rivera and hope you will join me too.

I forgot how much I enjoy Michele’s storytelling. This was a really sweet storyline. From the moment that Quinn and Theo meet, the banter between the two had me smiling throughout the whole book. It is one thing to follow your two love interest but it’s another thing to read and feel them together and falling in love. That’s where the writers words come off the page and make you feel what is shared between the two. A must read.

I have read other books by this author, which I really liked. I enjoy sex as much as everyone else, but 15% of the story were about the MC's and 85 % was about their sexual encounters. After awhile it became repetitive and boring. I was hoping to read more about the character's themselves.

They kiss, and talk after they've eaten and flirted. Then decide to meet one year later in front of the same dive diner. To find out what happens next, read the book!! I really enjoyed this story! 5 stars!!

Engagingly written with pleasant main characters, both with their individual issues though. A gentle and slow burn on the whole but a bit too much angst for dramatic effect to make it as satisfying a read as I generally prefer.

So worth around 3.4 stars from my personal point of view but some will absolutely love it. I will be deleting it I am afraid.
