Great on 2000's LP Studio

As the singer in my band used to say: "Mike is the most out of tune person I know." In the mid 2000's I bought one of the gibson faded lp's and it was really never quite right in the tuners department - the ever present g string falling to flat after one bend, drop-d slipping somewhere wholly unpleasant, and general misses on crisp tuning after a few minutes of casual playing. 15 years later, I finally decided to do something about the problem (only after breaking the big E tuner during a move) and couldn't be happier with the result. Still some flutter that I don't see on some of my other guitars but VAST improvement on the les paul. For only $ and some extra time spend on a string change, it would be hard to not highly recommend these. In classic fashion, only wish I would have done this sooner.

potentially controversial -- In my opinion the chrome looks a lot better than the traditional pearloid buttons.

Excellent Locking Tuners

I purchased these locking tuners to replace the Grover 406C Mini tuners that I bought when I purchased the guitar a few months ago, as the 502c"s were out of stock at the time. The 406 mini's are alright, but just don't feel right on the Les Paul. It looks like they had to drill a new screw hole to fit the 406's so they are not a direct retrofit. The 502's are a direct retrofit for the Les Paul, and I prefer the thumb wheel lock rather than the auto-lock style on the 406's. I was also curious whether or not the 406's hold tune as well as the 502's. After a week of using the 502's, to be honest, I can't tell the difference if one model holds tune better than the other. They both hold tune exceptionally well. I've attached photos of both models.

Great Gretsch Upgrade!

I got these for my Gretsch Streamliner G2657T (same as the G2655T but with different inlays and colors) to help with tuning stability with the Bigsby. The fit is perfect, I used the OEM busing washers as to get a nice clean fit I had to get them a bit tight. Also these tuners have what I'd call 'locator spikes' on the guitar facing side. I suspect most leave these but I wanted to avoid and risk to I machined them off. Overall great tuners, feel great, lock good and with a Reverend Roller Bridge you can get pretty wild with the Bigsby.
