About this ebook

A billionaire romance stand alone from USA Today bestselling author K.A. Linde…

I'd dated his brother.

He didn’t remember and I wish I could forget.

I may have sworn off the Wright family a long time ago. But when I returned home, Jensen Wright crashed into my life with the confidence of a billionaire CEO and the sex appeal of a god. Even I couldn’t resist our charged chemistry, or the way he fit into my life like a missing puzzle piece.

Too bad he’d forgotten the one thing that could destroy us.

Because Jensen Wright doesn’t share. Not with anyone. And if his brother finds out, this could all go down in flames.

When it all was said and done, was he the Wright brother?

When Emery was in high school, she dated Landon Wright. Now, ten years later, she meets his older brother Jensen at a movie, and she finds herself drawn to him in ways she was not drawn to Landon or any previous man. Sure, the timing is bad. She's back in town after a disastrous relationship implosion, hardly in a good place emotionally or psychologically for a relationship. The thing is, though, when the (w)right person comes along, you can't control the timing. This seems to be a theme of sorts in K. A. Linde's book. Nothing happens according to plan. Characters who think they have control do not, and characters who think they have ceded control discover that it's theirs to keep. The beginning of the book frustrated me because Emery's three-year relationship ends spectacularly, yet it doesn't seem to affect her all that much. She rather blithely leaves it all behind. She tries to explain why she was able to abandon her life's plan so easily, but it doesn't quite click. Later, though, I did come to see that Emery is a survivor, first and foremost, so when she appears to have lost something, she quickly recalibrates and finds a new focus. She isn't one to dwell on the pointless. Jensen is a bit different. He doesn't so much move on as willfully ignore. This doesn't work out so well. Whereas Emery jettisons mistakes before they can drag her down, Jensen pretends they don't exist. But they do, and no amount of wishful thinking can get rid of them. The romance that brews delivers the quiver, girls. The sexy times are hot, wonderfully detailed, and just so thigh-squeezingly awesome. Unfortunately, there is a subplot that is dispensed with almost as economically as Emery's relationship. What is intended to be a big mystery in fact has its resolution telegraphed quite broadly. Nonetheless, this is a fun, hot book. And the hints Linde drops at the end regarding the next book in the series definitely piqued my curiosity. I can't wait to spend time with another Wright brother.
