Second to None

I was looking forward to reading Josie and Maddox's story after getting a glimpse of them in "At First Hate", that glimpse had me anxiously awaiting this story and it didn't disappoint. I love that the couples in "The Coastal Chronicles series" have all had an ongoing relationship since they were young and they may find themselves back in each other's orbits throughout the years but it isn't quite their time to be together. In Second to None we get more than just Josie and Maddox's story, we are also treated to Josie's mom and dad's history and we learn why Josie's mom gave up custody of her when she was young. It was a treat to get these two stories in one. Although this book is part of a series it can be read as a standalone, you will however get to know ongoing characters better by starting with Hold the Forevers. If you love sexy Contemporary romance with lots of angst, drama, steam, long time friendships, back stories and much, much more then don't miss out on this amazing read!

I haven’t read the previous books in the Coastal Chronicles but that’s going to change as soon as time permits because I loved everything about Second to None and I want more from the town of Savannah.Maddox Nelson and Josephine (Josie) Reynold’s second chance love story can certainly be read and loved as a stand-alone but I’m sure like me you will be left wanting more. Maddox believes their chance at love has been and gone, the high school connection they shared lost…..

I loved this book! It was so well written and intracite. Linde has weaved a story of love for the ages. I loved all the details and I loved how it jumped from the past to present showing us how Maddox and Josie's relationship bloomed and blossomed. These two were made for each other. It's as simple as that! This story was a story of real love and how you might not always know what love is worth to you until it's gone. I ate up every word and I did not want to put this book down. This was my first Linde book and I am kicking myself that I've waited this long to be graced with her masterful writing. I cannot wait for the next book in this series, Wait for Always and to go back and read the first two books in this series, though you don’t have to have read them to absolutely love this book! Outstanding work!
