Wright Vineyard #6

Wright Together

Rate this book
A sexy opposites attract romance set in the Wright world about Whitton & Eve from USA Today bestselling author K.A. Linde.

Whitton Wright is too good to be true.

And I learned long ago that things that are too good to be true…usually are.

When he danced into my life, I accepted that this wasn’t going anywhere. He’s tall as sin with a tailored suit on his immaculate body, and full of charm, saying just the right thing to get me to melt. There’s no way that he could be real.

Not for a girl like me.

In Lubbock, Texas, Wrights are royalty. Even the illegitimate son of an exiled Wright is treated like a king. Especially when Whitt falls right into place in a job he was born for.

The only thing I was born into was a double wide and a life of good-byes. Which is how I know he’ll be the same as all the others.

Until he isn’t.
Until he saves me.
And I start to wonder if maybe too good to be true isn’t a lie.
But my downfall nonetheless…

I adore all things to do with the Wright family, and ‘Wright Together’ was no exception. I love a feisty heroine and a completely devoted hero. Whitt and Eve didn’t have the easiest go of it at first, but once they were all in it was perfect.

Eve has a complicated family history/home life. She’s gotten a new opportunity to work with the Wrights and this could be big for her. The only thing is she’ll be working directly with Whitt, who she had a moment with before. Whitt wanted more with Eve but Eve doesn’t do ‘more’. At least, not anymore.

Whitt does what he can to convince Eve that they could be good together. Eventually, he wears her down. It’s not without it’s challenges though. Whitt was great. I loved how he was with the boss’s kid, how much he protected and cared for Eve, and how he was with his siblings. Eve with her sister had me seeing her in an entirely different light. I don’t want to spoil anything, but those situations can be so hard and she did her best and loved her sister above all.

KA Linde always writes the best contemporary romances with angst, heat, and heart. Wright Together was a great read and I’m looking forward to reading more in this world!

AREN’T YOU BORED YET? … “WAITING FOR GODOT SOME ORIGINALITY

**2.5 stars because it's almost Christmas**
NOT AN ARC REVIEW

Well, I am waiting for some semblance of originality, and pardon my rant because it isn’t aimed solely at this author at all, but this book triggered a festering reaction in me about romance authors lately that's been building for just the (W)right trigger (pun intended) and this book was it. If you feel like me, it will all make sense.

THE BOOK
I’ve only read the first two Wright books and have had quality of writing issues with author’s other books. If you haven’t read all the Wright books, you’ll be at a disadvantage. The Wrights and their people take up more page space than Whit and Eve and not in a good way. I soon lost track of so many connected characters and why I even cared. It doesn’t help when you don’t like the FMC, and the MC is too good for her.

Whit’s a bit of dream, but he should have run far, far away from Eve. The literally poor girl is rubbing elbows with rich Wrights and trying to hide her roots and make ends meet (despite being in real estate), as she sends most of her paychecks back home to support her younger sister. On the other hand, she’s got a wild reputation with men and only wants casual or one-night stands because of a bad breakup. Ho-hum. What got to me was her instant change in behavior. She and Whit were an almost hookup at a wedding because Whit wasn’t buying what she was selling, but when she’s assigned to work with him as a surprise to both of them, she does an abrupt about-face from acting uncertain, nervous, and overwhelmed by all his hotness to an overtly flirtatious, alluring vixen trying to entice him with every word that comes out of her mouth. In a workplace situation where she needs the job? I think not. After all, she’s in the spot she’s in because her last boo fired her and kicked her out of the apartment he owned.

CONCLUSIONS
And then I realized at the end of many more pages, that the work thing was just an excuse to throw them together for a workers-with-benefits sexfest that made the book primarily all talk and sex. That’s when I cashed out. There are too many other books worthy of my time. Aside from this author’s never-ending proofing issues, her books are heavily into cross-over characters (lots of them), lame dialogue, gaps of logic, and story re-direction that make my eyeballs roll. I often think she makes up stories as she goes. As an author, she's not alone on those issues. The book is overlong for what it is -- mundane talk and alot of horizontal mambo. I don't get my sex-fix from the pages of a book, so that's just overkill because there needs to be some engaging story along with the sexfest.

I mentioned Waiting for Godot (one of the most important plays of the 20th Century) for comparison. That play involves a character named Godot who never shows up, which impacts the other characters, and that’s how I feel about most romance authors today who don't show up. If, like me, you are a regular romance reader, you will have noticed an overused author trend: recycling stories, characters, sex scenes, and dialogue from book to book, from author to author. Borrowing from their own books. And clearly, authors read each other because otherwise it’s statistically impossible to write the exact same lines, sex scenes, etc. over and over from author to author. The offenders crank out assembly-line books and the quality of writing keeps going downhill on page for all to see and read.

OBSERVATIONS
So, I’m going to make some observations of this book that also apply to countless other books and authors. Don't think I’m just piling on this author because she's not alone, but there are also plenty of good authors out there capable of making stories, sex scenes and dialogue fresh and new every single time.

1) If you can’t spell and don’t know grammar or punctuation, then hire a reliable person to proof your books because it’s insulting to readers to be an author that thrusts substandard writing on us without improving the rudiments of your craft.

2) Write some original sex scenes for a change, and stop using the same tired, clichéd words and phrases that almost every single author uses and no one I know even considers a blueprint for great sex.

Case in point, the following lines from this book:

”You’ll get my c*ck. You’ll get it when I’m good and ready to give it to you.”

“I want you to come for me first. Get you good and ready to take me.”

“Come for me. Come for me now.”

“I need to f*ck you now.”

“You can take it.”

“You feel f*cking incredible.

“I need to come inside your pu*sy,”

“Going to own this tonight, baby.”

“Think you can handle me all night?”

You get the drift. None of this floats my boat, and its become desensitizing. Tell me you haven’t read those exact words a million times, and repetitive scenes, too. There’s a difference between good writing, good sex scenes, and dialogue that fits characters without sounding or reading like every other book and author. That’s just boring and unoriginal, and a mistake to think that readers don’t notice. The only way these repetitive sex scenes and dialogue works is if a reader hasn't had sex or very little sex or romance. Is that who authors think their readers are? Because it's not me. Get out of the rut and give us something worthwhile. It doesn’t make it any better by writing dirty talk as raunchy, salacious and taboo as possible.

And then, there’s one of my biggest triggers:

Stop giving MCs (and in this book, the FMC) calloused hands as though it makes any sense or that rough calluses feel great on sensitive or delicate skin inside or outside a woman.

GOING FORWARD
Having been out of the review scene for most of the year due to recovery from an injury, I came out of my hidey hole for this review. I’ve taken a new stance at the end of this year by dumping newsletters from authors who write like this and no longer follow them or seek out their new releases. This author is far from the only one and she has the cutest baby ever, but her books are no longer for me. My time is too valuable to waste on such books.

I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review. From the moment of my introduction to the world of the Wrights, I was hooked. Since then, whenever a new book featuring a Wright is available, I am on it like white on rice.  So the moment I learned that Wright Together, book number six in the Wright Vineyard series, was available, I jumped at the chance to read an advanced copy.

Wright Together treats fans of the series to Whitton Wright & Eve Houston's story. Readers familiar with the series will remember that Whitton and Eve paths crossed in the previous installment at a wedding. Now, Eve lived with many complications in her life, one of which involves a messy breakup. She's not looking for a permanent relationship at this point.  So when she met Whitton her only interest was in a casual hookup, he, however, wanted more. With such an impasse, nothing happened between them. This however did not stop them from thinking about each other.

Then fate stepped in by providing Eve with the opportunity to enhance her career, however there was a catch. She would be working with none other than Whitton Wright.

The chemistry and sexual tension leapt from the pages. Eve fought a valiant battle regarding her attraction to Whitton. Her fear of commitment, seemed to be winning the battle, but their chemistry, coupled with Whitton's patience, proved a worthy and stronger opponent.

Eve has been dealt hard blows in the past.  First with her parents and then a prior relationship which ended on a sour note. These experiences planted seeds of doubt about her worth. She finds it hard accepting that persons genuinely cared for her. She didn't trust the current friendships forged, and so she fearfully waited for the other shoe to drop. Despite the many blows dealt to her in the past, Eve demonstrates a quiet strength. A strength we see come to light in caring for her younger sibling and also in dealing with the pain from her past.

Throughout the story's progression, Eve and Whitton's compatibility prove undeniable, despite them being from different sides of the tracks. However, to ensure a happy ending for them both, they needed to let go of the baggage from their pasts. Watching them both deal with their issues and coming out stronger in the end delighted me.

Wright Together delivered a wonderful read from start to finish.  The witty banter, the romance, the friendships, family issues, and the steamy moments all combined led to a satisfying read. I enjoyed my revisit to the world of the Wrights and look forward to my next visit.

Readers who enjoy the opposites attract trope coupled with some steamy and unforgettable moments, Wright Together would make a great addition to your reading list. This review was originally posted on Totally Addicted to Reading

Back to Lubbock

We all have an author that is an instant “one click” K.A. Linde is that for me. While Whitt and Eve are a little more stubborn, will they figure it out? When your family is not your best role model, you live on your terms. Whitt and Eve have had their share of disappointments, but their siblings are everything.

I love Eve, she is strong, feisty, and stubborn, she needs to overcome the hand she has been dealt, and make changes, this new job is in the right direction. With this job comes a man she is attracted to. Eve and Whitt are not on the same page at first; will they get it sorted?

Thank you to the Author for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review.

Despite her attraction to Whitt, Eve refuses to allow another rich guy to upset her life again. Eve isn't interested in a relationship with Whitt, but she wouldn't mind a situationship. Whitt is a relationship guy, and a few stolen moments with Eve have him convinced that he wants one with her. Stalemate or will they be right together?

While Eve and Whitt are opposites in many ways, they find common ground and connection in dealing with challenging family situations. Their journey is emotional, full of heartfelt moments, and lots of passion. I enjoyed having so many past Wright series characters, especially Jensen, in Wright Together. I felt immersed in the big, ever-growing Wright family that looks after its own and those they love.

Erin Mallon and Lance Greenfield nailed the audiobook narration! They brought all of the banter and chemistry between this couple to life. Greenfield did particularly well in portraying Whitt’s longing for something more with Eve and protective Whitt’s patience while he supports Eve without intervening. Mallon showed us all sides of Eve — fireball, independent, carrying the weight of the world as well as her softer, loving, more vulnerable side — making her so relatable and real.

I enjoyed everything about this opposites attract, he falls first, family-focused romance! Eve and Whitt are definitely one of my Wright series favorite couples.

A very welcome visit to the Wrights is always going to be high on my agenda. Whitton and Eve have met previously, but, while Whitton is looking for a relationship, Eve is not ready for any commitment at this time, something which is clarified as the story progresses. But, life, or rather work, has thrown them back together and is not ready to leave these two unattended! No way!
Both Eve and Whitton have some family baggage, and both have huge depths of loyalty, which brings complications. But they both have a burn for each other which is slowly, but surely, building into something bigger and better.
I loved both Eve and Whitton. Their hearts are big. They are kind, funny and share issues that make their bonding stronger. Lovely read!! 💖 💖💖💖💖

I've said this before, but if it's by K. A. Linde and had Wright in the title, I don't even need a blurb to know I want to read the book.

I really liked both Whitt and Eve and I loved their story. The idea that one of them is essentially local royalty and the other feels like they barely belong or fit in worked so well.

For some reason, I really like the he falls first books. I think because I enjoy watching the hero figure out how feelings and what the heroine means to him. In this one, he already knew that he wanted more than a fling with Eve but she wasn't open to more. I really loved how he made it clear that he wanted to be with her while respecting who she was and what they were building together.

The secondary characters in this one added a lot to the story and definitely added some depth to allow us to get to know Whitt and Eve outside of who they were in the relationship, which I thought developed the story well.

I enjoyed and recommend this title.

I love the Wright Family and I’m always happy to go back to Lubbock!!
Eve and Whitt story was a real page turner!!
Eve wants to focus on her professional life and provide for her sister Bailey… she’s determined to not let her past decide what her future will be.
Working with the Wrights is an opportunity of a lifetime but for and with Whitt is another story.
Eve is strong minded, feisty but we get to see her vulnerability and trauma… Whitt sees it and wants to help , wants her to want more but Eve is not one to Yoel to temptation when she has so much to lose…
The story line is like a roller coaster -the angst , the passion, the funny moments- There was a lot of soul searching in this book.

Eve and Whitt deserves their HEA!

It was good to be back amongst the Wright family and this time we get to see Whitt as the leading man. I enjoyed reading Eve and Whitt's story, it was heartfelt, funny and romantic. Whitt and Eve had an amazing connection and he fell for her first which I loved. Eve has a complicated homelife that impacts on every decision she makes both personal and professional. We see Whitt on the backfoot having to convince Eve that he is worth taking a chance on. I adore when the guy goes all out to show the woman and everyone else just how far he would go to protect the woman he loves and Whitt excelled at this. The secondary characters were integral to the storyline and enabled the reader to see the growth they go through individually and as a couple. I cannot wait to see what's next for this series.

Whitt took one look at Eve and wanted it all with her, but all she could (would) offer is something casual, so the two never got together. But now they're working together, in close proximity, and Whitt's going to convince her how good they can be together, in a real, very attached way. It's up to Eve to open up to the possibility of love, or watch as Whitt finds someone who can take care of his heart the way he deserves.

Eve's life revolves around one thing - her sister Bailey. She's always had to worry about her, never got to think of her own self. So a relationship has never been something she could indulge in. But when she ends up working with Whitt Wright, she's starting to rethink her stance on feelings, commitment, and relationships. Is it possible she can take care of Bailey, live her own life, AND have a stable, committed relationship? Whitt certainly thinks so, and she wants it, badly. She just has to take that leap.

Whew, Whitt is hot! The mouth on him - Eve didn't stand a chance at resisting him, didn't stand a chance at not falling in love with him. Her own backstory is pretty rough, and she makes a lot of questionable choices because of it. I have to admit she's not my favorite heroine, but I admire her sassy mouth and independent nature. Whitt is pure fire, though, and elevates the entire story. These Wrights are so swoony, I can't wait for more!

I really liked this story. The heroine is feisty and fiercely independent and the hero is quietly devoted to her from the start. Whitt and Eve didn't have the easiest start to their relationship, but once they were both all in, it was great. It just took the majority of the story for them to get there. They both had issues to overcome in their present and past for them to get to a solid and real relationship.

Eve has a complicated history and reputation with men and an even more tumultuous home life. She's recently gotten a new opportunity to work with Wright Construction and get her life back on track since it imploded the previous year. This could be a great opportunity for her. The only problem is she's working directly with Whitt, and they've had a moment together before in the previous novel at a wedding. When she met Whitt, she only wanted a casual hookup, but Whitt wanted more. As a result, they were at an impasse and nothing has happened between them since. Although, this didn't stop them from thinking about each other. Eve has decided she's done with relationships, since they have all been disasters for her throughout her life. The latest one ruined her reputation and completely obliterated her professional life.

This new opportunity to move her career forward doesn't come without its challenge of having to interact with Whitt constantly. The chemistry and sexual tension between them drips off the pages. Eve fights her attraction to Whitton, but his patience in getting her to be open to a relationship and committing to it was great. He allows Eve to set the pace and he's there to support her when allows it. Eve didn't have a good family upbringing and many failed past relationships have made her doubt her self-worth. She finds it difficult to form any genuine relationships with people and finds it hard to believe that people genuinely care about her. She doesn't trust the current friendships in her life, and she keeps waiting for the other shoe to drop. Despite her mostly negative life experiences, Eve demonstrates a quiet strength to those around her. This strength comes from being responsible for the well-being of her teenage sister and trying so hard to overcome the pain from her past.

Throughout the novel, Eve and Whitt's compatibility is undeniable despite them being from different sides of the tracks. In order for the relationship to be successful, they both have to let go of baggage from the past, and figure out what really matters to them in life and in their relationships with others. Seeing them overcome their issues and being stronger together as a result made me happy and proud of both of them.

Besides the romance, I love how Eve's female friendships with her roommates and how they supported her relationship with Whitt even though she was reluctant to tell them about it. I also loved Whitt's relationship with Colton in the story. Jensen's older son Colton has recently gotten into some trouble with the law back home in New York City, so he spends some time with his dad in Lubbock to get his life on a better path. He starts working for Whitt at Wright Construction as his intern. Whitt is his boss, but he turns into a supportive friend for Colton who doesn't really have anybody in his corner in New York. He's a surly, rebellious 15 year-old with an attitude on the outside who doesn't appreciate his privileged life. However, he has a kind heart underneath and he just needs somebody to support him and be a true friend since he doesn't have one. He has "friends," but they're idiots who aren't a good influence on him, and they always seem to get into trouble or bad situations. Colton doesn't make good decisions around them. However, Colton is charming and very smart just like his dad. He just needs someone to give him a chance and an opportunity to correct his behaviour and make positive choices. I loved Colton as a character. I wonder if one day he'll get his own romance story in the future.

I really liked this novel. My one minor complaint would be that I found it to be a little too sexy for my comfort. The majority of Eve and Whitt's connection is sexual and I understand it takes them a long time to get to an emotional place in their relationship, but I didn't like that most of their dialogue centred around sex. It was just a little too much for my taste, but I did appreciate that the inner dialogue for both characters had an emotional undercurrent to it. It's what kept me reading. I wondered how and when Eve would surrender her heart to Whitt, and what more Whitt would have to do to convince her. I loved Whitt's gesture in how he supported Eve when she was finally willing to accept his help. This series will always be a favourite. I adore this family, and more people should be reading this series.

Eve and Whitt met at Jordan’s and Annie’s wedding and instant lust happened. It all crashed and burned when Whitt wanted more and Eve only wanted a hookup. And yet, the attraction still goes strong when they meet months later for a Wright project in Midland, Eve’s hometown.

Eve and Whitt are opposites, she’s a little bit of chaos, Whitt is all control and planned purpose. Whitt has a five-year plan going on, while Eve is about a foot away from poverty. Her center is her sister Bailey and most of her money goes to ensure she has home and food. Due to Eve’s bad choices in the past, she never expected to be near the Wrights, who are royalty in Lubbock and yet, she found acceptance with them and their friends and family. She’s usually closed off in self-defense, and in this story we see how she opens up to girlfriends and love.

In a different direction from her usual style, K.A. Linde went the hot steamy way in this book. As in, there are sexy times way more frequently than previous books. Many readers will be happy with this change, not me. I feel that a lot of sex scenes take away from the plot and shortchange the reader from character development. However, in this author’s brilliant hands, the character development and the plot didn’t suffer. I just didn’t get all I wanted from their story and had lots of sexy times to skim over. Steamy scenes are important to set the romance and the heat between the couple, but too many are just road blocks in the way of a wonderful story, and this was the case for me. This author is brilliant and doesn’t need to include so much steam for her books to be riveting!

I loved both characters, although I didn’t love Eve in the beginning. She felt like a hot mess, feisty and tough. Then as you read, you see that’s just a façade she presents as a defense against a toxic past, being pointed out and bullied just because she came from a trailer park. Once she opens up, she’s kind, intelligent and generous. Whitt shines through the story with his passion for control, his love for his family, and his love for Eve. There are other family dramas that add spice to the story and continue with the Wright family saga. I especially loved Whitt’s interactions with bratty Colton. He starts out as a sulking teenager but you get to see the sweetheart beneath.

Highly entertaining, with touches of suspense, way too many sexy times, lovely family drama that I loved, and a beautiful love story about a woman who needed strength from her partner, a man who needed a woman to melt his controlling ways, and a wonderful story.

Eve Houston is used to things not going her way and when she is late for a job meeting she hopes it’s not to late. She thinks her life is finally beginning to turn around as she has good roommates and really enjoys being a real estate agent even though she is barely scraping by. She’s done with her bad reputation and ready to be seen as a professional and get her life headed in the right direction.

Whitton Wright knew the first moment he saw Eve at a wedding that he wanted a relationship with her but she wasn’t looking for more than one night and Whitton wasn’t interested in that. When he gets a promotion at work he learns he is going to be dealing with an outside local realtor and is surprised when Eve walks through the door.

Can Whitton convince Eve that he is serious about her and wants a relationship with her or will Eve back away not trusting him after everything she has gone through in her past? Can both Eve and Whitton deal with their family dramas and be there for each other or will the pressure be too much?

This was a good story and I may have to head back to the beginning of this series to learn more about this family!

I liked Eve but really needed more of her back story to figure out why she was so guarded and struggling so much. Her last relationship really did a number on her and as you learn more it is with good reason and her mistake was innocent but what she went through after was awful. We learn pieces of her past gradually through the book but it isn’t until almost the end that everything comes out.

I really liked Whitton as he was a stand up guy who was after a real relationship and didn’t want to waste his time with casual. Yet he also could see something in Eve that he wasn’t prepared to walk away from. He was patient and kind and really showed her how she should be treated and slowly worked his way into her heart.

The book progressed really well with some hot action to get things going but at the same time everything flowed so naturally that everything felt super good and nothing rushed. There was so much chemistry right from the beginning from when they previously met and things went along nicely with some great funny scenes thrown in.

It was interesting reading about both of their family dynamics and each of them having issues with their respective fathers and the different ways that they dealt with their problems. I think both of them were good in the way everything went down and I was happy with how things went.

Definitely going to have to go back and start earlier in this series!- Rebecca

4.5stars—WRIGHT TOGETHER is the sixth instalment in KA Linde’s contemporary, adult WRIGHT VINEYARD erotic, romance series, set in the author’s Wright World. This is Wright Construction businessman Whitton Wright, and real estate agent Eve Houston’s story line. WRIGHT TOGETHER can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous instalments is revealed where necessary.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Whit and Eve) WRIGHT TOGETHER follows the second chance (of sorts) relationship between our story line couple. Whit and Eve knew one another from the previous summer but Whit wanted something more, and Eve didn’t do relationships or happily ever afters. A new promotion with Wright Construction brought Whit from Seattle to Lubbock Texas, where he will be find himself working side by side with the woman he has starred in his fantasies and dreams but both had a questionable family history, that shaped the persons they had become, and the past was about to come full circle threatening their growing love for one another. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Whit and Eve, and the potential fall-out the demons from the past, refuse to let go.

The world building focuses on several pathways including Eve’s bitter family relationships, and a sister who is struggling with a direction in life; as well as Whit’s father’s betrayal and infidelity that has affected his children one way or another.

The relationship between Eve and Whit is one of second chances but Eve continues to be troubled by her past, and Whit continues to want something more. Eve’s contract with Wright Construction is coming to an end, and she must reconsider her path going forward. As Eve and Whit’s relationship moves to the next level, the past returns threatening Eve’s long fought struggle with her past reputation. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate but I struggle with the use of a certain four-letter word.

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful and familiar secondary and supporting characters many of whom we have met in the previous story lines including Whit’s siblings. We are introduced to Jensen Wright’s estranged son Cole, and Eve’s sister Bailey.

WRIGHT TOGETHER is a story of betrayal and struggle, family and friendships, relationships and love. The premise is captivating, gripping and intriguing; the romance is flirtatious and seductive; the characters are determined and dynamic.

If the word “Wright” is in the title, I am going to read it!!! I just love the whole Wright family series that K.A. Linde has created and it was so great to be back with them in Texas!

This book is all about Whitton Wright & Eve! They first crossed paths at a wedding but she wanted a hookup and he wanted more so nothing happened. Now Whitton has moved to Lubbock, Texas and began his dream job at the family business, Wright Construction. However, he is quite surprised when Eve walks into his work and he finds out they’ll be partnering together on a project. What happens when they are in forced proximity together and sparks ignite from before while tension continues to build up between them??

Workplace Romance
Opposites Attract
Good Guy/Bad Girl
He Falls First

I loved that this book was a twist on the good/bad character type!! Eve is the bad girl who doesn’t do relationship and has slept around in the past while Whitton is the good guy that likes relationships and just wants more! It created such a fantastic build up between them and once everything exploded they have quite the spicy times!

Although this book is number 6 of the Wright Vineyard series, it can easily be read as a standalone. K.A. Linde does an incredible job explaining who everyone is in the family so you are never lost. In fact, it just makes you even more intrigued by each of the family members with how she describes them and how they met! I’ve read them all in this series but it even has me wanting to go do some rereads!!!

🎧AUDIO REVIEW:
This audiobook is narrated by Lance Greenfield & Erin Mallon with a dual narration and they did an excellent job!! Their voices both fit exactly who you’d imagine for Whitton & Eve and blended so well together as a duo. Lance has a strong raspy tone but also so much love in his voice! He gave so much character to Whitton! Then there is Erin who always performs with so much emotion in her voice and did so well capturing everything that Eve goes through in this story! Also, her male voice is so well done and enjoyable to listen to! Overall, this audiobook brought life to Whitton and Eve while transporting you back into the Wright world

RATING: 4.5/5

As the sixth book in the Wright Vineyard, Linde delivers a steamy small town romance in Wright Together. This opposites attract story will leave you swooning and rooting for the characters until the very end.

At the beginning of the story we are introduced to Eve Houston, whose past relationship ended up in a humiliating break up that completely changed her view on relationships. Deciding to focus on her career as a real state agent, Eve has worked really hard to get to where she is. But it has come with struggles along the way and she needs to secure her next job in order to help her family financially. She is shocked to see who she is going to be working with on her next project, Whitton Wright. The Wrights are royalty in their town, so even she knows that he is completely out of her league. Coming from the other side of the tracks, her upbringing was completely different from his. Yet, she can’t help to be drawn to Whitt. He is fierce, protective and he wants a relationship, something that Eve will never be able to give him. But as the two start to spend more time together, she starts to wonder if they might just be perfect for each other.

I throughly enjoyed reading Wright Together, the chemistry between the characters is magnetic and sizzling! There is no denying that there is an attraction towards each other, but one wants a relationship and the other doesn’t. So it’s up to them to figure out if they can let go of their pasts in order to start a future together. Told in dual POV and with unexpected twists, the ending was perfect for their story. I would recommend checking out this book as well as the rest of the series, you will not be disappointed. :)

***I received an advanced copy from the publisher. All opinions are my own.***

**Audiobook Review**

I’m so happy to be able to go back to Texas and have a story from the Wright Family. “Wright Together” is a steamy, fun, and heartfelt friends to benefits to lovers romance that is a great addition to the series.

Eve has gone her whole life without having anyone to count on. So when she ends up in the world of the Wright family, having people immediately befriend her and want to help her is something she isn’t used to. Especially when Whitton Wright has his sights set on her. He might be the son of the other family his father was hiding but he’s very much a part of the family now. He wants a relationship and Eve doesn’t attach herself to anyone that could hurt her. But as the two work together and spend time together, Eve can’t resist Whitton anymore.

The chemistry and tension that these two had was so apparent from the start and I loved listening to them build it up until they couldn’t resist it anymore. Whitton is so swoony and just overall a good guy. He was willing to go what speed Eve wanted and never pressured her into more than she was ready for. Eve had such a hard past and was still making up for it as an adult. Having parents who were never there for made her stronger but also made her so wary of anyone that was actually interested in her for her. I loved their flirty banter and how they dance around their attraction to each other. Because they finally gave in, whew… it was steamy. I love the ending and I’m so excited for the next book in the series.

Erin Mallon and Lance Greenfield narrate as Eve and Whitton and I loved listening to them bring this story to life. Erin was perfect as Eve and brought all of her sweet and caring personality to life. Lance was great as Whitton who brought all of his caring and protective traits to life.

This is my first novel written by K.A. Linde and oh, boy, does she deliver. I always love a scrappy heroine and a loyal alpha hero who will sweep you off your feet.

Eve Houston has her fair share of family strife. However, she's given a golden opportunity to work with the Wrights, which could potentially be a game-changer for her. The twist? She'll be working with Whitt Wright, a man with whom she shared a moment in the past. Eve is hesitant to pursue anything deeper with Whitt, as she has sworn off romantic entanglements, but his charming pursuit is wearing her down.

Whitton Wright, on the other hand, is determined to convince Eve that they could have a meaningful connection. There's something so satisfying about watching the hero realize his feelings for the heroine and then work to win her over. In this book, Whitt's desire for more with Eve was clear from the start, but he never pushed her beyond her comfort zone. Instead, he respected her boundaries and worked to build a strong foundation for their relationship.

What's particularly interesting about Eve and Whitton's story is the way their family baggage affects their relationship. It's a reminder that our past experiences and relationships can have a profound impact on our present and future. But despite the challenges they face, Eve and Whitton are determined to make things work.

This contemporary romance is filled with heart, passion, and emotional tension. Wright Together is an exceptional read that will leave you eagerly anticipating more stories set in this compelling world. I know I can't wait to read more about the Wright brothers.

Thank you to Ms. Linde for giving me the opportunity to read this book with no expectation of a positive review.

With this sixth installment in the Wright Vineyard series, readers are reintroduced to Whitton Wright & Eve Houston and the continuing connection they have towards each other after one night together. It was a night that left Eve full of self-doubts courtesy of messy break-ups and not feeling able to give more to another. Whitt felt quite differently though as one taste of Eve wasn't enough for him and he has never given up on getting forever from her in a journey that warmed my heart and put a smile on my face.

On a basic level this is a romance of opposites attracting as Whitt comes from wealth, is the golden boy of the town, and from the outside seems to have it all. His life isn't perfect though with a few family issues he's dealing with as well as his enduring (and endearing) efforts to prove himself to Eve. He's a delicious hero throughout this story though, a true white knight who was all-in from the very beginning, and he never stopped supporting Eve as she worked through all the bumps life threw at her. Eve's an equally likable heroine who's had to work hard for the things she wants and never felt good enough. Throughout her burgeoning connection to Whitt she dealt with weighty family issues that I could relate to and that had me rooting for Eve to see how devoted Whitt was to her while supporting her in finding her own answers. Though they come from two different worlds, Whitt and Eve were beautifully matched with sweet and sensual encounters balanced with the stressors of life fueling their rocky road to romance. Add in a likable and entertaining cast of secondary characters, family and friends readers have come to care for throughout previous books, and you end up with a familiar romance full of heart and soul.

Definitely going to have to go back and start earlier in this series!

Wright Together had a lot of everything that I love in my romances- angst, steam, an all-in Hero and a fiery heroine. Eve has had a difficult life up until now that colors everything she does. Her last relationship crash and burned in a terrible way that has left her untrusting in men and unwilling to do more than the casual. Whitton has also had a complicated family life, but he is anything but casual and knew from the beginning he wanted much more than that with Eve.

From the beginning, Eve comes across as independent, confident and even feisty - she seems to know who she is and what does and doesn't want but as the story progresses you get to know her and realize a lot of that is a mask for her toxic home life and to hide her vulnerabilities. I found myself completely caught up in the story once Eve started to let her walls down and let Whitton in. The more we see of Eve and where she has come from, the more I enjoyed her character. Whitton forms a connection with Jensen's son, Colton, who is going through a troubling time, and I really loved the depth we see in Whitton as he connects with Colton. Whitton and Eve's family struggles really added to this story.

Although this book fits in with both the overall Wright series and the Wright Vineyard series, you can definitely read this one as a standalone. I toggled back and forth between the audio book and the ebook and LOVED the narration for this one. Erin Mallon is a favorite narrator of mine, and I really liked how Lance Greenfield made Whitton come alive. Definitely recommend both versions of Wright Together.

Wright Together by K.A. Linde, book six book in the Vineyard series, is an enjoyable story featuring Whitt and Eve, a heartfelt, funny and romantic story. Eve Houston is used to things not going her way and when she is late for a job meeting she hopes it’s not too late. She thinks her life is finally turning around, between her wonderful roommates and being a real estate agent; despite barely scraping by. She is ready to be seen as a professional and get her life headed in the right direction. Whitton Wright knew the first moment he saw Eve at a wedding that he wanted a relationship with her. Except, she wasn’t looking for more than one night and Whit wasn’t interested in that; wanting more. When he gets a promotion at work he learns he is going to be dealing with an outside local realtor and is surprised when Eve walks through the door. It’s going to take a lot of convincing by Whit to convince Eve that he is serious about her and wants a relationship with her. Eve has a lot of baggage from her past and trust does not come easily. Eve and Whit will need to deal with their family dramas and be there for each other.

Ms. Linde wrote an emotional and wonderful romance story that should not be missed. She provided a tale rich with emotions, sizzling chemistry, magnetic attraction, clever banter, and endearing secondary characters giving Whit and Eve a chance at love, and a future together. I highly recommend Wright Together to other readers and look forward to the next book in the series.

Whitton Wright was royalty, smart, driven and intensely attractive so why would he be interested in me .. an average real estate agent from Midland Texas ?? But what he doesn’t know is that since our first meeting at the wedding I couldn’t get him off my mind .. Me, Evie Jo, homewrecker and trailer trash .. BUT Eve is determined to show everyone that .. that is NOT her !! But to what expense will she go to, to prove it to herself ?? Give up the BEST thing that has ever happened to her .. Whitton !!
Whitt might not feel like a true Wright but he is and he need to accept fate because when family means family this Wright Family knows what it means, love and trust and is what he is looking for in Eve. Even thought she has her own skeletons in her closet they seem to be breaking down one by one by Whitt except why cant he do that to for her.
Can here too NOT let there families get in the way of there happiness they SOOOO deserve ?? Or will the old take root and not let them start a new or will they ??
These two are perfect together in work and in there home life if they could just get rid of the past and some of the present… They are a breath of fresh air they BOTH NEED !!
The Wright never disappoint and I am hoping we get to see more of the kids because they seem to be the future of the Wrights even if Colton finds his own trouble, we all know Jensen will not let the bad in to the good. He has seen enough of that !!
LOVE THIS FAMILY !!

No one writes angsty romance quite like K.A. Linde and Wright Together is the perfect, opposites attract romance that will keep you tangled up in the best of knots.

A long time ago, Eve learned a tough lesson, if something is too good to be true, it usually is. Enter Whitton Wright, where even the Wright’s illegitimate son is treated like Texas royalty. Whitton is everything Eve ever wanted but knows she can never have.

Eve stole my heart from the very first page. There is absolutely nothing she wouldn’t do for family or those she allows to get close. All her life, she wanted something normal, something to hold onto, and maybe even a friend or two. And when Whitton Wright danced into her life, Eve was left completely unprepared for the new direction her life was going to take her. Try as she might to fight the intense chemistry and pull she felt for Whitton, she couldn’t deny the way he made her feel. Together, these two had a mountain of obstacles to overcome, and their journey to happily ever after kept me on my toes and left me swooning like a fool.

I loved everything about this book from beginning to end and devoured Eve and Whitton’s story in just a few hours. If you’re looking for sexy, unforgettable opposites attract romance with just the right amount of angst and drama, Wright Together is just the book you’ve been searching for.

*I was provided an ARC copy of this book, in exchange for an honest review*

Wright Together by K.A. Linde
3.5 – 4 stars
Spice: 🔥🔥🔥/5

As always, K.A. Linde always keeps me entertained with her characters and storylines. I’ve been reading about the Wrights for a while now, so it was like climbing back into the saddle. Whitton Wright is yum yummy. Sometimes it is hard to keep all the characters in place but after reading another Wright book, your memory starts to come back.

Whitton and Eve had some moments in a previous book, but nothing came to fruition. Now they are being forced to work together and, of course, sparks are flying off the pages. Eve has been burned by men before and has vowed to keep things causal, whereas Whitton is a relationship man. He knows what he wants and it’s Eve.

They begin working together and things heat up. As expected, with a workplace romance. It was well written despite the trope being played out numerous times. K.A. Linde knows how to keep those scenes spicy. Eve is a strong independent woman who comes from a past that is quite different than Whitton.

Their differences are stark however, their futures brought them together. The usual push and pull when it comes to romance with a woman like Eve who doesn’t want a commitment. Their chemistry and attraction.

The trope is a trope for a reason, but I think K.A.Linde did a good job with creating enough storyline to keep the reader entertained and wanting to continue to read.

Trope:
• Workplace romance
• Opposites Attract
• Series
• Dirty Talker

Wright Together, is the sixth one in the Wright Vineyard. Its Whitt's n Eve's Story.. This can be read as a stand alone. However, its better to read the previous ones to understand the other characters better.

Whitton Wright, is employed with the Wright Vineyards... He is Weston's twin brother and their relation with their dad is complicated.
Eve with the history of complications in her family and past, gets an opportunity to work with Wright Vineyards along with Whitton Wright..
Whitt and Eve have met each other previously. While Whitt wanted to have a relationship with her, Eve is against any serious relationships due to her past experiences. However, Whitt does wear her down eventually .. With Whitt understanding Eve's complications with family and being with her for the person she is, makes her fall for him more and more.. Despite all the challenges , they do find their way together..
I loved Whitt, the ever patient, solid, protective sibling and Eve, the fierce, Independent woman. I loved the progression of their story - from Eve being doubtful, and eventually falling harder for Whitton..
The Colton - Whitt combo was a great surprise and i loved those parts ..
I love the Wright world created by K. A Linde and the glimpse of the Wright Characters from the previous books are a treat to read!!!

I love this family line and all the books before it....this one is Eve and Whitt's story. I have to say that the previous books were all amazing and the sexy scenes blew me away but this one lacked the other spice previous books had.

Eve learned a lesson the hard way before she came to Lubbock and I fell in love with her character right away. She left alot back home - I wont ruin it for you because I have a feeling it will get its own book. Whitt is living life on a timeline and a plan for his future. When these two paths cross again, sparks fly. These two have somewhat of a history but unfortunately stars did not align for them. However, their attraction to each other is off the charts!!

Eve gets to work with Whitt and naturally their attraction lights back up again. Whitt is a man's man and does everything he can to worm his way back into her life and her bed. And just when things start to get good for them - the proverbially other shoe drops.

I love how this author incorporates all the other characters/family members that have had books before and we get to see an update on all of them. I wish this book had had a bit more spice but was a good addition to the Wright Fam! Looking forward to the next book that was hinted at near the end of this one!

Having been a fan of KA Linde since her debut Avoiding series, I am always excited to see another release with her name on it. I am even more excited when it’s another installment that takes us back to Lubbock Texas, and we get to peek in on one of my favorite series of all times. In this sixth installment in the Wright Vineyard series, she brings us the story of Whitton and Eve. What begins as a one time thing for her, very slowly morphs into more for her. Whit on the other hand, has wanted more from her since that first moment. He works very hard to break down her walls, and the chemistry between them is fire. But when fate pulls them together in their careers, temptation is eventually too hard to resist. Seeing this play out in the pages was just as fun to read as I wanted it to be. Even through their different paths in life, they find a way toward each other and it makes the pages simply burn. Bravo Kyla on another amazing release and I always enjoy visiting Lubbock and seeing what our other Wright’s are up to. With each new installment, I see this playing out like a TV series in my head and how each storyline is weaved into not only this series, but the Wright Brothers as well. I can’t wait for what is next!

Whitton and Eve are definitely right together!

Whitton works at Wright Construction and he just got a promotion with his fairly new found family. His brother gives him a new project the first day on the job. He now lives in Lubbock, TX. Eve works as a realtor. Long story short, she’s lucky to have this job right now as a contractor and needs it desperately. And in she walks into Whitton’s office to work with him on this project. Whitton and Eve had danced a lot at his brother Jordan’s wedding. She practically threw herself at him just to hook up, but he rejected her. He is a relationship type of guy, but she had just broken up with her ex, and he destroyed her life. Whitton could not forget her, though. Oh my, now they have to work together? Eve has walls up around her sky high. Can Whtton ever break them down? It’s rough going for awhile at the beginning because of the attraction between them. There are many things that happen in this story between them, and also each with their families that hold your attention to the fullest. Realizations come forward about everything, and it’s because of each other. I love the Wright books. I’m never disappointed when I read their stories!

Eve and Whitt's book may be my favorite of the Wright series, but I have said that with each book that drops!

These characters are far from perfect, even though, outwardly, people might think they are. They both have pasts that haunt them and make them who they are. It also makes them weary of love and trust.

Eve is a strong character; her past has been complicated, and she doesn't feel worthy. Worthy of her earned success, worthy of friendship and especially of love.

Whitt may be a Wright, but he's worked hard to get where he is. His father was a screw-up (having 2 families in 2 different states). He's working to prove himself worthy of the Wright name. His attraction to Eve isn't a secret, but she's just afraid.

Watching these two become friends, and the push and pull to become lovers is precisely why I love a KA Linde book. Angst, heat, passion, and depth between these two just pulled me Wright in <--- see what I did there!

I am here for more of the Wrights in the future.
