A Wright Christmas

Rate this book
A new second chance single dad stand alone romance set in the world of the Wrights from USA Today bestselling author K.A. Linde…

At seventeen, I left Isaac Donoghue behind to become a professional ballerina.

When I return home to dance in the Nutcracker, I never expect to run into him. Let alone on my first day in town. I can’t help but admire him in a crisp suit with his toned soccer body, chiseled jaw line, and all too familiar piercing green eyes. I thought nothing could surprise me more.

Until his five year old daughter runs out of the ballet studio.

I’m only in town for a month. I shouldn’t get involved with anyone, especially the ex I’ve been pining after for years. Especially when he has a daughter to consider.

But where Isaac is concerned, I’ve never been able to stay away.

With the help of some Christmas magic, maybe we finally have a shot at our second chance.

A second chance holiday romance with a single dad... gosh I loved this one so much!

Peyton is a dancer and dance has always come first in her life. She's spent the last 16 years or so in NYC as a principal dancer and is back in her hometown of Lubbock for the holidays. It's at her old dance studio that she runs into her first love, Isaac, and his daughter.

Peyton and Isaac were in love once upon a time, but the distance was too much for them. Now they are both in the same town (at least temporarily) and that old flame has rekindled. They have such a great friendship, and amazing chemistry, but what will happen when it's time for Peyton's to go back to the big city?

I loved that this was a sweet holiday romance without too much angst or drama. It was a nice treat for the holiday season. It's set in the 'Wright' universe, so if you've read those books you'll get to see some of your old favorites. I especially loved the NYC cameo ;) If you haven't read any of Linde's previous works, this can certainly be read as a complete stand alone.

If you're looking for a book that will make you smile and swoon, pick up A Wright Christmas!

I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.A Wright Christmas by K.A Linde turned out to be a sweet second chance romance set in Lubbock, Texas. It tells the story of high school sweethearts whose relationship ended on mutual terms when Peyton went to New York to pursue her dream of becoming a professional ballerina. Her life may have taken a different path, but time and distance did not dim her love for Isaac. A fact she would discover when she reunited with him 16.5 years later.

Peyton returned home to Lubbock, for the first time in 16.5 years to perform in Nutcracker and to spend time with her family during the festive season. As she would only be home for a month, falling in love with her high school sweetheart all over again was not on her agenda. Fate, however, had other plans.

Isaac may not have been able to fulfil his dream of becoming a soccer player, but he is making the best of his life as a single father and a successful architect. Fifteen years ago, he made the biggest sacrifice, but he never expected he would have a second chance until he came to face to face with the one woman who held his heart captive for so many years. However, with her only being in town for one month, will he risk his heart and that of his daughter or will he sacrifice all in the name of love?

I had a wonderful time with this book and it was fun to go back to the world of the Wrights family. I went in with high expectations and the author met each one. My only complaint is that I wanted more of Peyton and Isaac’s story. I loved how the romance developed instinctively and without the unnecessary angst.

I enjoyed the family dynamics featured in the story. I admired Isaac’s interaction with his daughter, loving but firm. I also had fun catching up with the members of the Wright family. Based on the information provided, I know there will be more stories featuring this powerful family.

Linde created a warm-hearted festive story filled with Christmas cheer which featured a swoon worthy hero, an adorable but stubborn five-year-old and a determined heroine.

Conclusion/Recommendation
A Wright Christmas gave me all the feels and gave an extra boost to my waning Christmas spirit. Fans of second chance romance and the single father trope will enjoy this latest offering from K.A Linde.

A Wright Christmas is a stand alone novel that is connected loosely with the Wright Brothers series. I read a review from a good blogger friend "Michele" and she recommended this and quite frankly her review had me one clicking this book and even though I am in a mad rush to read all my challenges books this month, I had to pick this one up and I will be honest I am so relieved that I took that initiative. And man I was so ready for this story and now I need to read these Wright brothers books because I can tell y'all this story made me want to pick up their stories. We don't get too much interaction where I felt that I needed to have read that series before this book, it was more of a teaser to read them. So definitely planning that for 2021.

A Wright Christmas is a story of two people that loved each other in High School. They were each other's firsts for just about everything, but then Peyton followed her dream to be a dancer in New York and Isaac, even though he fiercely loved her, gave her up so she could have her dream. And for year they haven't seen each other, until Peyton comes home for a visit for the Holidays. And when she is faced with Isaac again, she is overcome with the emotion of the love she has always had for him. But now Isaac is a widower with a young daughter. Their relationship is packed with uncertainty, not knowing what the future will hold, but as Isaac and Peyton rediscover their love and desire for each other, they will have to risk sacrifice to be together....

A Wright Christmas was a charming and emotional roller coaster of a read, and the more that I read this author, the more I am intrigued by her story telling. I am always overwhelmed by her level of captivating she portrays among her writing and this story was simply delightful in all the good ways. And I don't get to read many characters that are dancers in a romance, (we so need more of this) so I really enjoyed that aspect. I adored both characters equally in many respects. Isaac is a father who adores his daughter, a hard worker and strong ties to the community. I loved his personality and the charm he holds. Then you have Peyton, she is wonderful. She is passionate and independent. She loves being a dancer and it is a part of her, but I love the journey she goes on here, discovering new possibilities. And she does have to come to the realization of what is worth fighting for. I really adored seeing a heroine learn to fight for her man just as much as seeing the man fight for his woman....truly sexy to see it in both ways.

Overall I found A Wright Christmas to be a delightful, diverse romance that will endear you into this author's writing with this small town charm feel, a second chance at love and a adorable little girl that will leave you with a smile.....ENCHANTING!

4.5 stars, and all the Christmas feels!

Well, if there’s one thing I’ve learned from this story is that I want to start back at one, and meet all these amazing Wright characters from previous books. This is indeed a standalone, but you still meet several characters from previous stories.

I love second chance romances, especially when something happens and they part as teens. I love that 16.5 years transpired between them, and as soon as circumstances made them cross paths again, dormant sparks got stoked and came alive again. Howbeit their lives are different now, it’s obvious the love never left.

Single dad tropes are the best, and this one didn’t disappoint. I also loved that this was a interracial romance, and Peyton’s Mexican heritage shone brightly in this book very naturally. I must say that my mouth watered at some of the food that was mentioned in this story.

Issac & Peyton’s story is such a sweet one that you should definitely add to your tbr this holiday season!

A Wright Christmas is a short story that addresses second chances in love. It's a romantic and sweet story that I enjoyed reading.

Isaac and Peyton were each other's first love, but ended up moving away years ago to wander in search of their dreams. Now Peyton is back in his hometown and they have to decide whether their priorities were the same as they were years ago or whether it is worth giving them a chance.

I liked their relationship. It was something light with no story behind the ending, just two people who followed different paths without heartbreak and who when they meet again the feeling is still there. Their relationship was light and progressed naturally. I loved the scenes with little Aly and being able to see some of the Wright family again

Eu gostei do relacionamento deles.

Oh man, it was so much fun visiting in the Wright family world again. I’d forgotten how awesome they all are. And then to add in a huge serving of love and lust and the promise of a second chance romance, a dash of a holiday favorite, and few drops of a precocious five year old and there’s a whole lot more to love found in A Wright Christmas.

I loved the dynamic and the connection and wowza, the heat between Isaac and Peyton. Good lord, I thought my Kindle was going to melt into a puddle of goo at some points when the swoon factor was high—which was pretty much every time they were together. Years and years may have passed since Peyton left to pursue her dream of becoming a principal ballerina—something she achieved—but the two never, ever forgot what their love felt like. How whole and complete they felt when they were together. And even with all that life has thrown at them, they still feel the same way.

I couldn’t flip the pages of my Kindle fast enough to find out just what happens between Peyton and Isaac. To see if they could figure out a way to make Peyton’s month long visit home into something more. Something like the rest of their lives. ~ Missy, 5 stars

Sweet, second chance holiday romance…

What better way to ease into the Christmas spirit than a sweet, second chance romance with the Wrights as a backdrop! This addition to the series was a standalone but it was great to catch glimpses of the family as Peyton and Isaac got reacquainted… Career and life forced them apart but even though circumstances had changed, there were obstacles still. They fought their attraction, they really did but love and the season were no match! The music, the food, the feelings. It was all here with all the heart and soul that is in the air at this time of year… So good!

A Wright Christmas had the perfect amount of holiday cheer and sweet second chance romance goodness to make K.A. Linde’s charming book a page-turner.

This was set in the world of Linde’s Wright series but it can totally stand on its own. You will get to see some of the previous couples and characters from other installments but rest assured there are no huge spoilers. There was a whole lot to like, though! We traveled back and forth from NYC to Lubbock, Texas a few times for this heartwarming story... Read More

I was so excited to be back with the Wright family and Ms Linde did not disappoint, A Wright Christmas was everything I expected and so much more. It seems a while since I spend time with one of my favourite families and this book had me falling in love with them all over again.
This is single dad Isaac and Peyton’s story, it’s a second chance romance that has all the feels you want in a book that’s full of love and set in the magical holiday season.
Peyton is back home to dance in the Nutcracker and the last person she expected to see was Isaac the man who was her first love and who still holds a piece of her heart.
Isaac’s life revolves around his adorable little girl but when he comes face to face with Peyton and the dance studio he wasn’t prepared for old feelings rising to the surface but will he risk both his and his daughter’s happiness with what could be a short fling.....
This book touched me on so many levels, I smiled at the classic one liners only a child can deliver, I swooned and I held my breath a lot as this couple try to see if their timing is right this line around. I loved meeting the new characters and catching up with the old and I highly recommend this gem.

I must be honest, I'm not much of a holiday book reader, don't know why. Some of the ones I've read, I've always ended up wanting them to do a full length book, haha.

But this was a great book! It wasn't as high angst as I'm used to reading from Kyla, but it actually worked. I'm a sucker for a good single parent, second chance book. This hit all the notes for me. It set me in the mood for the holidays!!!

Childhood sweethearts are reunited once again in their hometown. Peyton returns home for Christmas after being away for years, to dance in the famous ballet the Nutcracker. Will first love bloom into something more, or will they be once again separated by unfulfilled dreams.

I really enjoyed the story of this one! I thought it was a light and cosy read about long lost love. I think the writing was a little clumsy and the book would have benefited from being a novella instead of a full length novel. Peyton and Issac were swoony and I loved every scene with Aly, she was such a sweetheart, and I actually loved that the author included tantrums and babysitting schedules making it way more relatable!

"Just how easy it would be to get lost in my first love."

A Wright Christmas is a sweet, small town holiday romance that tugs at the heartstrings. Peyton and Isaac were high school sweethearts way back when. For the last 16 years, Peyton has been dancing as a principal ballerina in NYC. Isaac let her go all those years ago so she could pursue her dreams and he is now devoted to his little girl, Aly.

Peyton came back to her hometown of Lubbock, Texas, for one month to dance in a local production of The Nutcracker, and she and Isaac fell back in love all over again. Their love was always there even after all these years and it was just so beautiful to see. But what will happen when Peyton goes back to New York? How can their relationship possibly last with miles between them? Is the strength of their love enough?

"Don’t think about tomorrow. Just be here with me."

This was the perfect read to end the holiday season and I wanted nothing more than to see this couple find their HEA. Despite the low angst, I could still feel their struggles and reservations but I knew they were destined for one another. Single dad romances are one of my favorite tropes and this one did not disappoint. It was the feel good story I didn't realize I needed.

"I wanted another lifetime of memories with her. Because when we were together, it was the only time that felt completely right in my life."

If you are looking for a quick and sweet holiday romance, A Wright Christmas is the book you are looking for.

A Wright Christmas is novella that will feature small glimpses of characters from the Wright Series but you do not need to read any of those to enjoy this one.

The blurb tells you exactly what you get in this story, so I won't bore you by repeating what the author tells you. What makes this story enjoyable is Isaac and persistence in showing Peyton he won’t be so easy to give up a second time.

This love story is sweet and gives you some warm tingly feelings. I did not notice that I get the deep emotions that I prefer to have in my romance stories, but this was a short book so it was to be expected. There is very little steamy parts and a few unnecessary dramatic parts, but overall, it's what you can expect from a holiday romance novella.

Looking for a quick holiday read? A Wright Christmas will get you ready and leave you feeling in the holiday spirit.

This is a cute second chance love book. Peyton is a prima ballerina. After high school, she left her boyfriend and took off to New York to dance. Over the years she has always wondered what would have happened if she had stayed.

Isaac has been through the wringer and is now a single Dad. Peyton broke his heart when she took off to pursue her career and he knew he had to let her go. He moved on and made a family.

Peyton returns back to her hometown for a month to help a friend at her former dance studio. She is shocked when Isaac walks in to pick up his young daughter Ally and they come face to face. Feelings they once had for each other bubble to the surface. They both realize that she is only here for a month but throw caution to the wind and spend as much time together as they can.

Can they have a long distance relationship? Do they even want to? I loved watching these two reconnect and fall back in love with each other. There were some really sweet scenes and I loved the ones with his daughter Ally. Was a cute, quick beach read!

5 Star Read! Plus some jingle bells

Oh the Christmas Feels. This was sure the perfect way to go back to Lubbock and the world of the Wrights!
There is magic in a holiday reunion. 16.5 years did nothing to stop the hearts of Isaac and Peyton from belonging to each other. Second Chance Romance, between high school sweethearts. So much Christmas Swoon!
Isaac and Peyton knew their dreams were going to have to be chased a part. At the age of 17 they said goodbye. Her to New York to achieve her dream of a Principle Ballerina. Him to college on a Soccer scholarship with the hopes of being a pro soccer player. Their dreams where in two different worlds.

Peyton returns to Lubbock for one month to preform the part of the Sugar Plum Fairy with the Lubbock Ballet Company. Almost the first person she runs into when she returns is Isaac. The man who once owned her whole heart. She also meets his 5 yr old daughter Aly….
This was just the perfectly Bright and Merry story I needed to kick off my holiday season. I could not be more jolly with the way this story was told and played out. It was nice to see a glimpse of Katherine and all the Wrights. I am so happy to be back in Texas with the Wright Gang!

This was a sweet second chance Christmas story. It has a hot single dad, Isaac, and the girl who got away, Peyton, a ballerina. Peyton left Isaac behind in Texas years ago when she decided to pursue dancing in NYC. Now that she’s older she realizes what her priorities are and, just maybe, they include her high school sweetheart and his adorable daughter, Aly. This is a quick, holiday read about what truly matters in life. And we get cameos by some of our Wright family favorites! It was great to be back in the Wright world and meet some new characters too!

I love how K.A. Linde does insta-love because it's not. Writing a novella is difficult and often when reading one you can tell it is rushed-- especially when it's brand new characters. Not with K.A. Linde. I loved how she created Isaac and Peyton's relationship and backstory. This created a lot of chemistry, angst and possibilities. Of course while this wasn't about a direct Wright family member, these two characters fit right into the mix and some of our favorite Wrights made an appearance.
Great novella and I can't wait to see where she goes with some of the other characters.

This was a cute, second-chance romance. I liked Peyton and Isaac's story. However, I really didn't see how this fit into the "Wright" series. I mean, yeah we see the Wright's for a short time, but these two were completely nowhere in the first 6 books. It was hard at first to get into this story because of that. But we see Annie and Jordan which is probably a segway into their novella and book.

Overall, the story was easy to read. It was a little cliche and predictable at points. It was a sweet story of two high school sweethearts finding their way back to each other.

Giving this an extra star because I've always wanted to do ballet but my (asian) parents won't let me. But anyway, this is a cute second chance romance read. Not too smutty too and I didn't mind that at all because now I want to watch The Nutcracker and be sad that I'm not a ballerina again.

There's not much drama and I was afraid that Isaac will be a bit of jerk. But he came through and every thing was just so sweet especially in the end. Not sure if I'll read the rest of the series so we'll see.

What a wonderful quick read! Unfortunately, nothing too special, at least for me, but a very enjoyable read nonetheless.

As I'm translating the TV show Chesapeake Shores at the moment which is also about someone returning to their hometown after 16 years, it was a little too similar to that in a way. Had I read it before that, I might have rated it better. But 3.5 stars is still really good!

I really enjoyed the push and pull relationship between the main characters, the chemistry between them was sizzling.

Linde definitely has a great voice and enjoyable writing style and I'm glad I got a chance to read this. Will definitely read more of her work in the future as I'm a sucker for sexy romances.

5 Star review of A Wright Christmas by K.A. Linde
Having read all the previous books in this series I was excited when I learnt that there was going to be a new one. I fell in love with the Wright family and their friends and I couldn’t wait to dive into this story.
This is single dad Isaac and Peyton’s second chance at love story and is centered around the most magical time of the year which was an added bonus. Returning home for a month, ballerina Peyton is shocked when she comes face to face with her first love and the man she has never gotten over Isaac and his adorable little daughter Aly.
Do the issues that pulled them apart and in different directions years ago still exist ? Or could they finally have a chance at a life together?

Although a novella, K.A. Linde has woven a story of romance, love and second chances that was heart warming and entertaining. It was also great to see some familiar faces pop up whilst reading.

A WRIGHT CHRISTMAS by KA Linda is a contemporary, stand alone, holiday romance story line set in the author’s Wright World series. This is Wright Construction project manager and single father Isaac Donoghue, and New York City Ballet prima ballerina Peyton Medina’s story line. A WRIGHT CHRISTMAS can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary. Many of the previous story line couples cross over for cohesion and familiarity.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Peyton and Isaac) A WRIGHT CHRISTMAS follows the second chance romance between Wright Construction project manager and single father Isaac Donoghue, and New York City Ballet prima ballerina Peyton Medina’. Fifteen years earlier, Peyton Medina destroyed Isaac Donaghue’s heart when she left Lubbock Texas to pursue a career as professional ballerina. Fast forward to present day wherein Peyton has been invited to star in Lubbock’s holiday presentation of the Nutcracker, and with it, the possibility of facing the man she has never stopped loving. Enter Isaac Donaghue. What ensues is the rebuilding romance and relationship between Isaac and Peyton, and the potential fall-out as Peyton’s time in Texas comes to a close.

Isaac Donaghue is a single father who lost his wife five years earlier but our hero has never stopped loving the only woman who has ever broken his heart, and with her return meant the possibility of a second chance with Peyton Medina. Peyton never expected to fall hard for the man whose heart she destroyed but an emergency return to New York broke something in Peyton, as she struggled between head and heart, and the career she has focused on all of her life.

The relationship between Peyton and Isaac is one of second chances: a rekindling romance between two people whose relationship was destroyed when Peyton left to pursue her career, and Isaac was offered the chance at a soccer scholarship. Isaac had never stopped loving our story line heroine but Peyton had no plans to return to Lubbock or Isaac. The $ex scenes are limited but passionate.

There is a large ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters including several couples from the previous instalment in the Wright World series. We are introduced to Isaac’s five year old daughter Aly, as well as his sister Annie; Peyton’s siblings Piper and Peter, Piper’s roommate Blaire, their parents, and grandmother; LBC artistic director Kathy Brown, and several young hopeful ballerinas and dancers.

A WRIGHT CHRISTMAS is a sweet and sexy story of second chances. The premise is realistic and spirited: the romance is seductive and tender; the characters are sassy, imaginative and dynamic. A WRIGHT CHRISTMAS is a wonderful and impassioned tale for your holiday reading.

I was so disappointed with this one. I have loved most of the other “wright” books - so I definitely wouldn’t discount any that follow - but this one was a dud for me.

I’m not generally a fan of widow/widower romances. The author has to decide between an apathetic first marriage, and someone’s lost true love who was actually not their true love but the book has to pretend they were the true love to make it interesting - both of which are difficult to do well. In this book the author sort of glazed over that whole thing and I honestly don’t know if it was better or worse.

Overall, it felt like the book was written hastily. It was a bit predictable, and I didn’t feel drawn in emotionally. There was no simmering - just a series of events with a few impulsive decisions that didn’t really make sense. There were also quite a few sentences with grammar errors and awkward syntax, for example: “Maybe my family had missed me being gone more than I’d realized.”

Fingers crossed for the next one!

I can't lie, while holiday books are definitely not my favorite, there are some that I am going to read because of author or characters, and this was definitely one of them.

The chance to hang out with the Wright family again was too good to pass up.

Peyton and Isaac were in love when they were younger and when they see one another again, all of the emotions are still there. And, it makes them wonder if they are able to walk away from one another again.

There was a lot I liked about this story, and the thing I loved the most is that no one blamed Peyton for following her dreams, even though it took her away from someone she loved. And, I loved the way the book handled this...it was the right decision at the time, and at the point they were in their lives and the reason that Isaac and Peyton work now is that things change and decisions that were right in the past may not be correct now.

There was a lot to love about this story. I enjoyed and recommend this title.

[1.25 star] i don't have any connection with the book, and the way the characters are being portrayed just felt really flat. additionally, i think the author is really trying to be funny by giving some of the characters very very similar names, like "kathy", "katelyn" and "katherine". everytime either of this names appear, i will have to recall who are they because it's really confusing.

This is a beautiful second-chance romance set at Christmas. It is also set heavily around the world of ballet even if most of that takes place in the production of Peyton’s hometown in Texas rather than the stages of New York City.

This was such an enjoyable easy to read story. We get the sexy second-chance romance between two high school sweethearts, a single dad with a cute daughter, supportive, loving extended families, dancing, and more. There is some drama in the story but not too much. It was just enough to keep me interested.

It was clear from the beginning that Isaac and Peyton were still in love after all these years and it was just wonderful to go on the journey of love with them as adults. While enjoying their romance, I enjoyed meeting their friends and family, some of whom will likely get their own romance stories soon. I’m hoping Peyton’s sister will be getting one because there is something interesting going on with her.

Ultimately, where the story goes and some of the events are no surprise, but I didn’t mind at all. If I’m reading a Christmas-themed romance, I want a tale full of love and joy to get me in the Christmas spirit and A Wright Christmas did exactly that.

If you have read previous Wright stories, then you will love this very romantic tale which also gets us all caught up with all our favourite couples and their families.

Isaac and Payton split when she left to dance in New York – and whilst it was an agreed decision, it wasn't an easy one. Peyton is now back in town for a month dancing in The Nutcracker, and so is Isaac's five-year-old daughter. I absolutely loved all the dancing, the insight into the pain of being a professional, and the need to accept that there will come a time to stop.

The real sweetness comes from Isaac's little girl and her relationship with everyone, but Peyton in particular. She is charming without being too sweet, and adds levity and intensity to the situation as she sees how important Peyton is to their future.

Beautiful Christmas story with lots of family, lots of romance, and plenty of ballet – pretty perfect combination topped off with a super romantic gesture and a lovely happily ever after.

The Nutcracker, Christmas lights, cookie making, and time with family plus a swoony single dad and a second chance at love? Sounds like the makings of a great Christmas love story! A Wright Christmas is a light, sweet read- with ample cuteness and swoony moments, an adorable 5 year old, a dash of humor, plenty of team, a little sprinkle of the festive spirit, and two characters that you just can’t help but root for.

This second chance love story begins when professional ballerina Peyton returns home for a month to guest dance in her Texas town’s Christmas production of the Nutcracker. She left Lubbock behind over 16 years ago, never looking back as she pursued her NYC dreams of being a dancer. But she left more than her family behind- she also left behind her first love- Isaac. The boy who let her go, who refused to stand in the way of her dreams. Sure enough, she quickly bumps into Isaac when she returns home, but not in the place she expected: at the ballet studio while Isaac is picking up his 5 year old daughter. Their unresolved feelings never went away- and even though these two are adults now and live totally different lives, the love between them still shines. They sweetly, but reluctantly, rekindle their romance, but the problems that existed before have never gone away, their priorities are still misaligned. Peyton still has dreams in NYC, and they now have something even more important at risk- the happiness of Isaac’s little girl.

The love story here is tender and sweet- with a bit of an instalove feel, but that is because these two have a history. The chemistry builds naturally, we have some delightful side characters, and Isaac is SO DREAMY. And as a dad? OH man, ovaries exploding. He’s kind, empathetic, sexy, considerate, and so forgiving. And he is so devoted to Peyton, despite years apart. He’s so likable immediately, but Peyton took longer for me to figure out- mostly because what we know about her is her career, and I felt like we didn’t get to know her as well until we see her start to interact at the dance school and with Isaac, then she had more dimension. They’ve got a warm little sizzle between them - their relationship both sweet and sexy. But, I did find myself having to suspend disbelief about their time apart- they seemingly ended civilly and Isaac knows all of Peyton’s family, yet they had no contact in 16 years and Peyton knew nothing about his life. That contrasted with how quickly they feel back together felt a smidge easy- but I also appreciate the lack of hostility of anger. IN fact, Isaac still respects and supports her decision. SEE? Dreamy.

This love story is one of second chances- of compromising and determining when love matters enough to make it work, even if it isn’t easy or even when you have to give a little. A mature kind of love. The way the story ended up was unexpected but charming- and even though I wanted a smidge more Christmasy stuff (it was less about Christmas and more just happened to be Christmas), I love nothing more than seeing people fall in love (or in this case, fall in love again) during the holidays! A sweet, charming read that will give you some swoons and some holiday feels.
