Good in the Zak: MFF Romance (Good in the Zak Series Book 1) Kindle Edition

3.9 3.9 out of 5 stars 197 ratings

I've been in love with Chance Zak since first grade.Yeah, THAT Chance Zak— America's sexiest movie star. My brother's best friend since we were kids.

When he got married last year, I knew it was a PR stunt to sell a reality show about Chance and his lovable B-list bride, Daphne.

Of course, Season 1 of GOOD IN THE ZAK was a huge hit. Watching my Forever Crush fake fall for his fake wife on every screen in town? NOT FUN.

But when Daphne leaves town to film a movie, Chance hires me to go with her.He gives me special instructions: Make sure she stays out of trouble. Tabloid photos of her with another man would kill Season 2.

I knew going in Daphne was gonna be trouble. I didn’t count on being trapped 24/7 with her, watching her every move, thinking about her all the time.

The more time we spend together, the more I want her.

After loving Chance my whole life, I can't possibly steal his girl.

I mean… I can't, right?

GOOD IN THE ZAK is a 53,000 word steamy contemporary NA romance with more than one love interest and situations in which three people fall in love with each other. Mature scenes intended for adult audiences only. No cliffhangers. First in series, can be read as a standalone. If you like GOOD IN THE ZAK, be sure to check out the sequel, BETTER IN THE ZAK

This is the first book I have read by Jess Savage and I have to say this was the fastest book I had read in a while! This was not at all what I expected and I will definitely be reading more by this author!

Good book. The characters were dynamic and likeable. The story was good. I kind of wish Chance had a bigger part in the intimate parts. Overall this was a good book.

POSSIBLE SPOILERS I adore reverse harems, poly, menage, and really any combination of multiple partner books so I was so excited when I saw this one as part of a book fair event. I started it the next day and I finished it the same day. I wanted to love this book as I feel like there are just not enough bi women rep in the books I read, but I had a hard time with the cheating. Which I know wasn't technically cheating - but it felt like it. And all the lying. It was just frustrating.

However, I still immediately went and got book two.

This book was incredibly smoking hot. Trying to keep her friends closer than she thought possible. Chance, Daphne, and Minnie make for interesting dynamics that made it difficult to put down.

Virginity stolen. Sweet slow twisted burn of story and I'm intrigued as to how it will continue in the next book. Read it you just might like it.

I don't remember what aspect of this story landed it in my recommendations, but I'm so glad I gave it a shot!
The story is a unique spin on friends to lovers that I really like.
There are some minor editing glitches, but they do not detract from the story.
Definitely give this series a read.

I really enjoyed the first book with Minnie talking and explaining her story and could hardly wait to get into the next one of the series to see where things were going. The second book was Daphne talking. The first half was new information about her and her personality. The second half was just a repeat of the first book and ended at the same point as the first book. The third book was Chance. So in the first book, we know they are all three going to be together as lovers. It would have been nice to hear what happened after they came home from Mexico and what their lives would be like. My advice. Just read the first book and move on.

I found this book through a Twitter suggestion thread and really enjoyed the premise. It was unique and I had no idea going in that this book was MFF (even though it says right on the description-- I just couldn't read apparently), which is a pairing I enjoy. My only issue is that the characters felt a bit juvenile at times and when they didn't, I struggled to connect with them. I also disliked how Daphne and Chance messed with Minnie and did things behind her back. It was a good story but fell a bit flat for me.
