If someone can't get pro results on micro four thirds, then I don't know what to tell ya. This camera is so jam packed with features I could write pages and pages. The only thing I wish this camera had compared to the OM1 is the EVF resolution. Some people complain about battery life but I've cranked out 2,000 shots on one battery when taking bird photos. I have literally never had to use my spare battery in the field.
A few highlights:
The hi-res mode will blow your mind. The new composite long exposure works fantastic (see my sample picture of the traffic), composite mode works just as well as on my EM1MK3. The bird autofocus just simply works great. Autofocus works perfectly on both Lumix and Oly lenses. The time lapse functionality is the best in any camera on earth.
I have many cameras and shoot medium format, full frame, multiple Leicas, and have owned every brand of mirrorless full frame out there. I can't stress enough how amazing this camera is and if you get caught up in sensor size then I think you need to work on your craft and learn to love taking photos.
So quickly I'll mention the few cons:
1. Price, this is not a cheap camera.
2. Shutter speed won't go longer than 60" without bulb mode, please Panasonic do a firmware update to allow us to go up to 15 minutes like that other brand! But most brands stop at 30" so I'm thankful that Panasonic goes up to 60".
3. They removed the top LCD info display.
If you're torn between this and the OM1, I think it's a tossup and really comes down to which body feels better for you to shoot with. For me, this camera feels like home because of the buttons and ergonomics and menus. I simply fight less with this camera, but I guarantee you I'd end up with the same results on either camera, but definitely go with the G9ii if you need more video features. They packed in everything you can image for video and time lapse.

I have missed dozens of shots because of these issues. I feel sad, disappointed, and foolish.
I downloaded the latest firmware, did a factory reset, and spoke to Lumix customer service and nothing works. this camera doesn't pass the test.
Unfortunately, I tried too hard to like it and now i am it's passed the 30 day return policy so i am stuck with a $2K piece of junk.
Stay Away.
