Product Description

These are the latest additions to the G-SQUAD lineup of sports watches from G-SHOCK, which are equipped with heart rate monitor and GPS. Useful workout functions include an optical sensor for heart rate measurement, along with bearing, altitude/barometric pressure, and temperature sensors, and an accelerometer for step counting. These five sensors help to keep you in close touch of your current activity in real time. The ability to receive GPS signals lets you access location information when you need it. This, when used in combination with the stopwatch, makes it possible for you to keep track of running information like distance, speed, pace, and more. Your heart rate and speed is used to calculate a VO2 max value, which is an indicator of your cardio-pulmonary capacity. This measurement is useful when trying to increase stamina for running and other activities. In addition, new phone apps are now available to help you configure watch settings more easily and manage your workouts. You can monitor your current fitness level and training progress, and even automatically create a training plan based on targets specified by you. VO2 max calculation and other data analysis capabilities use a library by FIRSTBEAT, a renowned sport science company. Algorithms of improved accuracy support a higher level of training. The surface form of the back covers of these models reduces interference with the back of the hand, while a soft urethane band provides a better fit to the wrist. Bi-color molded buttons are designed for ease of use, while a high-definition MIP LCD makes display information more legible. Both USB and solar charging are supported, and solar charging can be used to power daily operation (except for pulse monitoring and GPS). Renowned G-SHOCK toughness along with new outdoor functions for a new selection of G-SQUAD timepieces.

Bluetooth APP

Heart Rate Monitor

The GBDH1000 is equipped with an optical sensor on the caseback of the watch. The LED light detects the blood flow under your skin and measures heart rate. Based on your heart rate and running speed, VO2max (maximum amount of oxygen you can utilize during exercise) is calculated to inform you if working out efficiently or not. This is achievable thanks to the utilization of Firstbeat technology. Firstbeat uses a unique algorithm to provide advanced performance analytics.

GPS Route Mapping

GPS functionality measures distance and tracks movement when running. The built-in GPS feature acquire data from GPS, GLONASS and Michibiki satellite systems. Link to a smartphone and you can access a map display of routes traveled. Additionally, GPS signals are received to adjust watch time, date, and time zone. (*when automatically adjusting time while paired with a smartphone, GPS auto-signal reception is off)

Bluetooth & APP Connectivity

Connect the GBDH1000 to the G-SHOCK Move APP on your smartphone via Bluetooth connection. The G-SHOCK Move APP receives training data from your watch and provides detailed information of your training activities. Increase motivation by managing measurement data and training history with the APP, which automatically creates training plans tailored to set targets. On top of managing your workouts on the G-SHOCK Move APP, you'll be able to easily configure your watch settings.

I love my G-Shock Move!!!
I'm a Land Surveyor and a runner. This watch has everything I need to get the job done on and off the clock.Shock Resistant200meter water resistantGPSBluetooth Mobile link LinkSolar Power + USB chargerTriple Sensor: altitude/barometric pressure, temperature, compassStep trackerHeart rate monitorHigh contrast MIP displayFull auto LED (Super Illuminator)4 alarmsStopwatchTimerFull auto calendarWorld Time (38 time zones)G-Shock Move appFirmware updatesConnects to third party apps like Google Fit and Strava.I absolutely love this G-SHOCK! It's a replacement for the GW-9300CM. I have a softspot for my old Mudman. I've been wearing it since 2016 and G-Shock has not came out with an all digital/solar/multiband 6 replacement Mudman so the Move is pretty solid and so I'm moving forward with it in 2020.I paid $225+/- for the Mudman back in 2016 at Amazon.com $399 to spend on a G-Shock is a little pricey. But I like the all digital models like the old Rangeman and Mudman, so I really enjoy this watch. I recommend this watch for G-Shock fans. Turn GPS off and heart rate monitor off and the battery last longer between charges.

Reviewed in the United States on October 3, 2020
The watch is great, love the style, color and the functions. Easy to navigate and the specs are amazing. This watch serves its purpose as it rugged, unbreakable, water resistant. I lift weights, box, do my cardio, swim and i have this watch on me all the time.

What really sucks is the price, i dont think its work $450 but being casio G loyal consumer, i gave into the price.
