He tries to keep fit, by going to the gym every three years or so. Or is it four? He lives with his wife and daughter, and two remarkably ugly cats, both suffering personality disorders. The cats, that is. When he’s not experiencing the joys of looking through title deeds, he loves to read a good thriller. And, of course, he loves to write.

Many thanks to the author / Bloodhound Books for the digital copy of this action thriller/crime fiction. Read and reviewed voluntarily, opinions expressed here are unbiased and entirely my own.

Adam Black is sitting in a cafe, enjoying his coffee. An elderly man approaches him, tells lack a story, and leaves a book with him .... The Book of Dreams. Supposedly the book holds the mystery of his wife's murder.

Black is asked to meet with Victor Cromwell, a Hollywood movie star. Black has no idea why .. but he is curious. Victor makes a request of him .. check out an old hotel that he wishes to purchase. He says the owner will only deal with Black .... a man Black knows full well died many years ago.

A killer, who disappeared 20 years ago, has returned with a vengeance and is murdering young girls in horrific ways.

What ties these events .. and how does it involve Black?

Seeking the truth, he finds more questions than answers. And there are some who will do anything to hold their secrets from the light of day.

As are all the books in this series, this is well-written, full of action, featuring the dynamic Adam Black. As the number of crimes climb, they become more horrific and gruesome. Not for the faint of heart. He's a multi-layered character revealing a strong external layer, as well as a softer internal one. The story line is a good one, bringing together separate and distinct plots to a surprising, unexpected conclusion.

I did not read the first three books in this series. While you don't have to read them in order, I did find myself wishing I knew more if Adam Black's backstory (some info was provided just not enough for my curiosity!).

Interesting story but I felt Black is very one dimensional and it dragged on longer than needed

I enjoyed this suspenseful story. This is not my first book by this author but it is one of my favorites yet. This is a well written story that has characters that no only bring the story to life but also are relateable. The twists and turns had me sitting on the edge of my seat just waiting to see what would happen next to Adam and this killer. This is a story about a killer who has been dormate for a little while but is now coming back to life by killing women in the worst way. Not only that Adam meets with a movie star which will turn his life up side down. You don't want to miss this book. I really enjoyed it and what Adam brings to the story is great. I highly recommend this book.

This is a story of a man who have demons in his past, Black, He a fantastic main character in this book . This a story with true grit, real action it is not boring keep you wondering what will happen next. With Black. The story starts with a man needing his help, someone killed his wife, he gives a book to Black, he talked about Robin Black, Adam Black is a man that this Margaret , the old man is counting on to help him solved his dilemma . But, you have to read it to find out about the farm? Why the Raven Crown so important? what all of it meaning. Who is the Blood Eagle? And what kind of control of a organization of criminals or power he have?. You could not have guessed it, it was a surprise to me. I enjoyed this novel so much. It is thrilling and entertaining to the very end. Great summer reading come out July 5 2021.

From the very beginning of all these books I was gripped .It is full of heart stopping moments every time .They are gritty and chilling with some fantastic fight scenes and plenty of blood . I’m heading straight into the next one called Finale . I hope there are many more to come from this talented author. Excellent.

Many thanks to Kenny for his new book FURY. Received it on Monday, started reading that afternoon and couldn't put it down. Book 4 in a series about ex SAS Captain and now lawyer, Adam Black. Many twists in this fast paced novel and getting to finding the "Blood Eagle" led us many different ways. I loved the comment about the Chihuahuas, right up my street!! Only problem with my book, is that I am sure there are some pages missing, the one's that come after he meets the guy in Slovakia !!!! Don't keep us too long until book 5 is out.
