Fury: A Must Read Crime Thriller Full of Twists (The Adam Black Thrillers) Kindle Edition
When a stranger gives Adam Black a book, telling him the book holds the key to the mystery surrounding his wife’s murder, Black dismisses the event as nothing more than the ramblings of a mad man.
Then Black is called to a meeting with a Hollywood movie star, Victor Cromwell, who is shooting a new film in Glasgow. Cromwell makes a very strange request that will throw Black’s life into turmoil.
Meanwhile a killer, who was dormant for twenty years, has returned and is murdering young women in the most gruesome way. As Black investigates, he starts to suspect the three events are linked and sets out to uncover the truth. But the truth often lies in the darkest places . . .
Fury is the perfect read for fans of authors like Mark Dawson, James Deegan, and Rob Sinclair. It can be read with the Adam Black Series or as an unmissable stand-alone.

About the Author
Karl Hill lives in sunny Scotland, in the village of Eaglesham, on the outskirts of Glasgow. For his sins, he is a practicing lawyer, and has been for over twenty-five years. He tries to keep fit, by going to the gym every three years or so. Or is it four? He lives with his wife and daughter, and two remarkably ugly cats, both suffering personality disorders. The cats, that is. When he’s not experiencing the joys of looking through title deeds, he loves to read a good thriller. And, of course, he loves to write.

All 4 kept me guessing until the very end
Best writer I have read for quite a while
Adam Black is sitting in a cafe, enjoying his coffee. An elderly man approaches him, tells lack a story, and leaves a book with him .... The Book of Dreams. Supposedly the book holds the mystery of his wife's murder.
Black is asked to meet with Victor Cromwell, a Hollywood movie star. Black has no idea why .. but he is curious. Victor makes a request of him .. check out an old hotel that he wishes to purchase. He says the owner will only deal with Black .... a man Black knows full well died many years ago.
A killer, who disappeared 20 years ago, has returned with a vengeance and is murdering young girls in horrific ways.
What ties these events .. and how does it involve Black?
Seeking the truth, he finds more questions than answers. And there are some who will do anything to hold their secrets from the light of day.
As are all the books in this series, this is well-written, full of action, featuring the dynamic Adam Black. As the number of crimes climb, they become more horrific and gruesome. Not for the faint of heart. He's a multi-layered character revealing a strong external layer, as well as a softer internal one. The story line is a good one, bringing together separate and distinct plots to a surprising, unexpected conclusion.
Interesting story but I felt Black is very one dimensional and it dragged on longer than needed
