SPOILERS AHEAD! Do not read if you plan to read it!
This is a short second chance story with the roles reversed. Savannah & Hayden were in love in Highschool but broke up because each had careers they needed to focus on that required them to be on opposite states. The roles reversed because it is the heroine (not Hero) who walked away to focus on her career. It is the Hero who got left behind and devastated & hurt. It is the heroine who needed redemption & the Hero who sacrifices everything at the end to be with the heroine. Nice change, eh?
Savannah (heroine) told Hayden a whopper of a lie back when they were 18 that she was in love with another man so that he could move on with his life & career while she went to NY to study & be an actress. He wanted to follow her there but she made the “sacrifice” to leave him so that he could reach his dreams. (Apparently she didn’t think he could do that in NY! Lol). So 10 years later, Savannah returns home for a friend’s wedding and sees Hayden who brought a date with him in the form of an ex-rival of hers from HS!
The OW, Veronica, is a crazy bitch who tried to lie & manipulate Savannah so that they didn’t get together. The angst/misunderstanding from that was easily & quickly fixed and Hayden only sees the OW as a friend and nothing more. He is not even attracted to her.
What I liked about this story is that because the roles were reversed, hero is not a Manwhore and he was the one pining for the heroine instead of the other way around. I’ve come to understand in these 2nd chance tropes that the person who is left behind is the one who always falls in love the hardest. In this one, I never really felt that heroine was as much in love with Hero as he was with her. She didn’t make any attempt to get in touch with him in the 10 yrs, didn’t come home for him and didn’t make any sacrifices to her career for him. She also always annoyed me with how she kept telling him that she wouldn’t have time for him if he left everything he loved behind to come & live with her.
Neither of course were celibate during the separation & there was NO OM drama & some OW with exception as noted above. It has a fantastic proposal at the end that was a bit cheesy for this reader but hey, a girl can dream, right???
Also, next book “Baby Mine” comes out this month and it’s about hero’s baby brother, Hunter, who is in love with his best friend/roommate’s woman. Hunter is a Manho and I am not sure I will be reading his book as heroine in that story seems to be mourning her ex & carrying his baby.
“Fuck. You have any idea how much you ruined me?” “Wanna know how long it took for me to be inside another woman after you destroyed me? How long it was before I slept with someone else?”
“No,” I beg. I didn’t wanna hear it. I couldn’t bear to even think about him with another woman.
“Three fucking years, Savannah. That’s how long. Three long years, and I was still hung up on you. Only God knows why because I hated you as much as I loved you. And when that relationship inevitably burned to the ground, I never wanted anything serious again. It wasn’t even her that was the issue. I was still in love with someone who couldn’t love me back.”
“Hayden, this isn’t fair,” I plead. His words hurt, and I know he wants them too, but I already hate myself for what I did to him.
“You’ve got that fucking right, Sav. It’s been ten years. But I haven’t stopped loving you for one second. No matter what I do, who I dated, what I tried telling myself—it all brought me back to you. You left…” he reminds me. “You didn’t give me the chance to even fight for us. I would’ve fought, Savannah. So fucking hard.”
“I left for you, Hayden. I couldn’t let you change your life plans for me.”
“Why the fuck not?” You were my goddamn life. Didn’t you know that?”
“Yes! That’s why I couldn’t let you give up your future for me. I knew you would, and I couldn’t live with that. You deserved to do what you loved just as much as I did.”
“So lying was your answer? Making me believe my girl had left me for someone else? Making me think I was nothing to you after all our history together? That’s what you thought was right?”
“I was a kid, Hayden,” I tell him. “I did what I thought was right at the time. We had two different paths ahead of us. No matter what, one of us was gonna have to sacrifice for the other if we wanted to stay together. I couldn’t allow either of us to do that and risk resentment. I was torn. Can you try to understand that I did what I felt was right at the time?”
“I’m so sorry I hurt you.”
“I know you are.” Let’s get pass this, Sav. It’s time to move on from it.”
“I want to, Hayden, but now I’m scared I’m going to hurt you once more,” she tells me softly, her lips swollen from mine, making me eager to take her again. “My life is in New York and yours is—”
“Wherever you are.”
“Hayden.”
“I mean it, Sav.” “I’m in love with you. I can’t remember ever not being in love with you. Whatever we need to do, we’ll make it work. I’m not going to let work or football get between us this time.”
“I don’t deserve you, Hayden Manning.”
“You do, baby. I promise.”
“You’re sure about this? I have an insane schedule. Work, performances, friends. I want you in my life, but it’s nothing like it is here.”
“We have forever, Sav. You keep doing what you do, and I’ll always be here waiting.”
“I love you, Hayden. I’ll do anything to have you back in my life.”
“Sav, I’ve waited ten years for this moment. I never knew if I’d see you again, never knew if I’d—if we’d—get a second chance. This weekend has shown me what really matters. I knew I loved you when I was sixteen years old, so I’ve never been more sure of anything in my entire life. If I didn’t think it’d scare the shit out of you, I’d get down on one knee and propose to you right now.”

April 5, 2019He stayed in touch with h's nemesis from school, who was mean to the h; he even took her as his date to the wedding. He didn't sleep with her, but still... this woman harassed the supposed love of his life, and he stayed friends with her?!
It didn't sit well with me.
He wasn't celibate, but not a manwhore; as far I understood she wasn't celibate too, but of course didn't meet a decent man... unfortunately.

This was such a cute story. I totally fell in love with Hayden and Sav. Anything these two ladies write is magic, no matter how big or short it is.
The epilogue was so freaking sweet. These ladies know how to write their romance, the right amount of angst, love and a whole lot of spice.
I also loved getting to meet Hunter and seeing him from time to time, I can't wait for his books.

Forever Mine is a yummy novella from Kennedy Fox that I just completely adored!! Hayden and Savannah were childhood sweethearts that fell out of each others lives only to reconnect and rekindle their romance at a mutual friends wedding. This little novella was chock full of emotions. From friendship, to love, to pain and forgiveness, Forever Mine is one novella I’ll never forget! Kennedy Fox have outdone themselves!

This is the first book I've read by Kennedy Fox and I have to say that I enjoyed this story very much, even though I had some issues with it.
First things first, the story is about Savannah and Hayden, high school sweethearts who broke up during the first year of college and they meet after years in their hometown and that's how the story begins.
The plot was mainly ok but a bit predictable and the main characters were pretty likeable. To be honest, though, my favorite character was Savannah's best friend Donny. I laughed so much with him and if he was a really person I would want to be friends with him!
Now to the issues I had with this book. Some things about the main characters' past were not fully explained. Maybe we'll see more about that in the next book that is about hero's brother (or, at least, that's what I hope). Also, the story was a bit fast paced for my liking. I think it would be better developed if this wasn't a novella but, yeah, I wanted to see more of this story.
Having said all these things I could probably give this book three stars instead of four but I really liked the story and I couldn't put my kindle down so four stars it is.
Let's see what happens with Hunter in the next book 👀

Forever Mine was a great way to kick off the Roommates Duet series by Kennedy Fox! I'm a sucker when it comes to a second chance romance. Over the years I've learned this trope is my favorite when it comes to Kennedy Fox!
Okay now let's get to the story.
Savannah had always dreamed of making it big on Broadway. So after graduation she packs her stuff and moves to further her education in New York leaving everyone and everything she new behind.
Hayden has only known one love in his life. He dreamed of a marriage, having a family, and growing old with Savannah. But Savannah didn't see the same future he saw.
Now ten years later, Savannah is back in her hometown to attend her best friend from high school's wedding. And maybe tame down some old flames that are still sparking.
My thoughts:
I loved Savannah and Hayden's renewal of sorts! These two are clearly meant to be and fate took it in her greedy little hands to see that they come out on top.
But of course it wouldn't be a true Kennedy Fox novel without a dose of angst and a threat to the relationship lurking in the shadows.
Overall, I really enjoyed Forever Mine! From the hot chemistry, swoony sexy times, and cutesy moments between the two how could I not fall in love with this couple's story.

Pur essendo autoconclusiva qui troverete Hunter il protagonista di Soltanto mia.
Hayden e Savannah avranno il loro epilogo alla fine di Soltanto tua.
Ecco perché mi sento di dirvi di leggere il prequel per non spoilerarvi nulla.
Detto questo Hayden ha sempre avuto un unico grande amore, nonostante siano passati ben dieci anni i suoi sentimenti non sono mutati.
È un colpo in pieno petto il momento in cui i due si rincontrano, tra segreti e bugie che sono passati nel mezzo, l’emozione di ritrovarsi non ha eguali.
Come ogni storia che si rispetti c’è anche l’antagonista, in questo caso il suo nome è Veronica, vecchia conoscenza dei due fin dalle superiori.
l’amore che provavo per Hayden era speciale. Era così profondo e meraviglioso!
Le scene hot sono cariche di pathos, la novella scorre velocemente, una storia dolce e tenera.
È un First love e second chance che vi farà sognare.
Lo stile delle due autrici lo adoro, sanno dosare alla perfezione sentimenti e passione.
La serie Roommate come già sapete l’ho molto consigliata, per chi l’ha già letta in questa novella conoscerete un po’ di più Hunter.

This short story by Kennedy Fox is full of all the heat and angst you want in any book!! I Love this Second Chance Romance so much!!! It just reminds me why second chance is one of my favorite tropes. Hayden and Savannah are high school sweethearts that broke up during their first year of college. Ten years later they finally see each other again and the chemistry is off the charts! They both want each other so bad. I LOVED all the angst and chemistry they share!! Hayden is so freaking sexy and Savannah is so wonderful. I love this story. I love all the feelings it contains. You can feel their heartbreak and their happiness. You can feel their struggles and fight. The chemistry and lust in this is killer. Oh My Gosh. You will feel all the feelings in this book. I mean this book has a villain that made me literally yell "You Bitch" while I was reading multiple times lol. I normally don't yell out loud at books but their writing is just that good. This story is so freaking Sweet and sexy and angsty and so amazing! I Loved it!
P.S. This book is the same story Kennedy Fox released Chapter by Chapter in their newsletter. The e-book comes with an extended epilogue and it is so good!!! You definitely will want to see what happens with this couple in the epilogue!!

This is my first book by these authors. Forever Mine is a prequel to the Roommate Duet.
The narrators are Savannah and Hayden (1st person POVs).
Savannah comes back home for her friend's wedding. This story is light, fun, funny and sexy.
I really enjoyed both POVs. But the authors did something that I do not love. Instead of each POV continuing where the other POV left off the authors go back in time. So for example if Savannah's POV is from 9-11am. Then instead of Hayden's POV continuing from 11am, it goes back to 9am to show what he was doing the entire time we heard from Savannah.
Overall though this was an enjoyable story. It was a bit predictable. But it was yuck and sexy. And the characters were mostly very likable.

NO SPOILERS!
Forever Mine was a sweet, sexy, and entertaining standalone second chance romance, and I really enjoyed it! Kennedy Fox did a wonderful job with Hayden and Savannah’s story, and while I ultimately wanted more of them given it was a novella, I was very happy with the conclusion. Forever Mine was a fantastic start to the Roommate Duet series, and I can’t wait to read Hunter and Lennon’s duet soon!

Kennedy Fox did a wonderful job with Hayden and Savannah’s story, and while I ultimately wanted more of them given it was a novella, I was very happy with the conclusion. Forever Mine was a fantastic start to the Roommate Duet series, and I can’t wait to read Hunter and Lennon’s duet soon!

This book was so cute! Second chance romances are always so fun to read. I first read this short story on Kennedy Fox’s weekly newsletter but now it’s becoming an ebook with a bonus epilogue! This story follows Hayden and Savannah who were high school sweethearts but end their relationship before anything more could happen. Fast forward 10 years and they see each other at a friend’s wedding. I love reading second chance romances and this story was no exception! Hayden and Savannah were so cute together and their chemistry was off the charts. This was a really adorable, quick read and I’m so happy we got to read a bonus epilogue!

Hayden and Savannah were high school sweethearts and inseparable as teenagers. At least until Savannah left Hayden in the dust for New York City and an acting career. Hayden went through his stages of grief and came out the other side, but he never really got over Savannah.
Savannah comes back to her hometown for a friend's wedding and the last person she wants to run into his her first love, Hayden. She is sure he's moved on and while she wants to be happy for him, a part of her has never forgotten him and the guilt over what she did still sticks with her.
Sparks fly over a plate of shrimp cocktail and it's like no time has passed when these two meet again. His love for Savannah was total and I love how this never changed even over many years. Hayden Manning is the boy every girl wants in high school and as a grown up; loyal, kind, and supportive (oh, and hot too, don't forget hot!).

I love second chance romances and I love anything that Kennedy Fox writes! Forever Mine is a short, sweet, and steamy second chance romance.
Hayden in Savannah started dating as children and of course, both ended up going to two separate colleges and long distance relationships don’t always work it. Ten years later, Hayden and Savannah are in the same place and see each other. All the chemistry is still there between them, but will their hearts be able to handle a second chance?

I SO NEEDED THIS AFTER READING BABY MINE! It has a big spoiler in it, so I recommend you don't pick it up until after you read Baby Mine when it comes out on April 23rd (my review is coming soon). I was really curious about Savannah and Hayden's story, as Hayden is Hunter's brother and we meet him in Baby Mine! Hayden seems like an awesome brother and they mention the second chance love story that happened for him, so it was fun to read the story of how Savannah and Hayden finally see each other again. For a short story, I really enjoyed it! Anyway, I recommend that once you finish Baby Mine and are FREAKING out like I was, that you move onto this to console yourself until Baby Yours comes out on May 23rd!!

This book was a great preview to a new series from Kennedy Fox. I’m so excited for Baby Mine!!
Savannah and Hayden have a classic second chance romance. They were high school sweethearts separated by different ambitions. They are thrown back together years later and they deliver the perfect mix of sweet and angsty. I really love Hayden’s relationship with his brother and I’m so excited to get to Hunter’s story!!!
It did have two of my least favorite things in romance novels so the rating got knocked down a little, but I still really enjoyed it overall.

My first from Kennedy Fox and I'm sure I'll be reading more from them. This was a short and sweet novella with a second-chance romance (one of my favorite tropes). Everything happened really quickly - as they tend to do in novellas - but I was willing to go with it because it was obvious that Hayden Savannah still loved one another even after a decade apart. I'm looking forward to continuing with the Roommate Duets.

This was a very cute and feel good romance. This was the prequel installment to this roommate duet series. I absolutely adored it, and cannot wait to continue into Hunter and Lennon's story!

I adored this novella! The perfect introduction to Kennedy Fox’s Roommates Series. Hayden and Savannah were childhood sweethearts and haven’t seen each other in 10 years. Savannah is back in California for a mutual friends wedding when she and Hayden run into each other again. This was a deliciously sexy second chance romance that I devoured in one sitting. There was so many unresolved feelings between Hayden & Savannah it was clear from the moment they crossed paths again that their chemistry and connection was not lost forever. The moment Hayden sets his sights on Savannah he makes it his mission to never let her go again. Savannah is quickly realizing she made a big mistake letting him go 10 years earlier. I adored the love these two have together. I also loved Hayden’s brother Hunter and can’t wait for his story next! 4 STARS.

Savannah doesn’t know what to do when she see’s Hayden is with the one girl who tortured her in HS. I didn’t think I would loath a character more than Mia Montgomery but Veronica now holds the torch.😡
Hayden on the other hand has never gotten over Savannah and wants answers.
This book is filled with all the feels. The epilogue is just to die for😍 This couple is beautiful and I can’t wait to read more about them in Baby Mine.

I always feel sad at the time the lovers have lost because of misunderstandings or whatever may be the case. Savannah and Hayden lost 10 years and I hated that they lost all of that time but it was that much sweeter when they reunited. I loved both Hayden and Savannah a lot. They were so amazing together and perfect for each other. But I loved Donny and Hunter the best. They said the funniest things and sometimes inappropriate too.
